September prelim Park hours posted.. earlier MNSSHP?

I am in the same boat you are! Our last night is Sept 2nd and it would be awesome to be able to attend this!

We will be at The World from 9/3-9/10 and I've been assuming that we would miss it. I really hope this turns out to be true! I love MNSSHP!!! :yay:

While I would love the second to be a party night (we're there Aug 27-Sept4) I highly doubt it. Earliest date in the last five years was Sept 10th.

True, but weren't the early events last year uncharacteristically crowded? If Disney perceives demand, they'll add dates.

The first party was very much uncharacteristically crowded, but that wasn't due to the number of tickets sold (though the party did sell out); Disney did a horrible job of having those without tickets leave the park. For the first party we didn't recall any announcements of the park closing for the event (though we could have missed it) nor did we see anyone looking for those without bracelets. Normally you can't get into certain areas without someone checking for a bracelet. It was so crowded that night that we actually left much earlier than we normally would have. But, all in all, we still had a good time.

The second party was quite a bit better; it was still busy but nothing like the first one.

I do want to correct my above post, the first Party in 2014 was Sept 1... not sure how I missed that. So maybe we will get lucky.

Halloween before Labor Day is ridiculous...as always...people are forcing them to overstretch the bounds of good taste with they credit cards
I know, that would be like a Christmas Party before Thanksgiving... oh wait, never mind :)

The alternative means of keeping up with demand would be to close MK at 7PM more frequently within a smaller window. I can't fathom that idea would fly.

It would be nice if they added the Halloween party stuff to every MK night the last 2 weeks of Oct like they do with the Christmas party stuff.

Neat idea that's defeated by a few things.

1) They can still charge for the events and get gate fees twice on party days.
2) Halloween doesn't have the same pre-existing guest crush as Christmas/New Years.

If they were to add the Halloween stuff gratis, you'd have more people in the parks, and Disney wouldn't get to double-dip any of them.

I can only speak to my experience, but when I travel to MK during either the Halloween or Christmas stretches, I always get a handful of midnight + days. If I were presented with majority 7PM closures, I think I would forgo traveling in that window. I speculate that too many people would feel the same for WDW not to be impacted by that viewpoint. 3-4 7PM closures each week is about all the system can bear, IMHO.

Actually, in 2014, the first party was Sepember 1.

Last year, there were early September 7pm closures on the schedule that later switched to normal non party days. Hopefully they will announce the dates and the new costume rules this week. Last year, dates were released on Feb 25, with tickets going on sale April 8.
