From Years past does anyone know generally what hours DL and DCA have for Labor day weekend and the week following labor day?? What are the crowds usually like?? What sort of entertainment schedule should be expect?? Thanks for any and all info

We were there for a week in 2008 from Monday September 8th.

Monday to Thursday Disneyland park hours were 10am~8pm & DCA's were 10am~6pm.
Friday: DL 9am~11pm & DCA 10am~9pm
Saturday: DL 8am~12am & DCA 10am~9pm
Sunday: DL 9am~ 10pm & DCA 10am~8pm

Mid-week in September there are usually pretty low crowds in my experience. This September might be a little different as SoCal AP holders might be trying to see WOC after the summer crowds, but it didn't seem to make much of an impact on crowds the Septembers after Nemo and TSMM opened.

We were there in Sept. 2007 the week after Labor Day and found crowds to be really low and temperatures really nice. Hours were short and we were able to ride everything we wanted plenty of times. Ride lines were all walk on and we didn't even need to use FP.

Not sure how things will be this Sept., though since WoC is open and AP holders may be trying to see the show.

We were there last year just after Labor Day and were able to do both parks in one day. I thought that after the initial morning rush to Peter Pan, the crowd were light at everything except Jungle Cruise. We were able to ride TSM twice with no problems.

Have fun!

I would say September is a very good time to go. We have been there 3 previous trips in September. The crowds (during the week) are generally low and the wait times 5-10 minutes. It seems as though Tuesday and Wednesday are good days to be there as far as crowds. We went in May of this year and found it to be just a little more busy than September. There were some days in September when you could basically get off a ride and run back through the empty que to get right back on. The hours are not as long as the summer or Holidays, but you don't need as much time to work through crowds.

Sorry to HJ this thread, I am wondering if since Halloween at Disney officially starts a week earlier than usual, what mid-Sept. will be like as far as crowds go - there won't be any Halloween parties yet but all of the decorations will be up, and the Halloween ride layovers will be completed by Sept. 17th.

Will Halloween at Disneyland starting in mid-Sept. have any impact on the crowd levels? I imagine the hours might be extended in the parks from Sept. 17th, on? Thanks if anyone knows!

We were discussing this in the HalloweenTime thread. I really feel that while the Halloween season officially kicks off on the 17th Disney
is really pushing October as the time to go for the Halloween season. September gets no HS fireworks and no parties. TSMM will also be down all of Sept. I think those going specifically for HalloweenTime fun will go in Oct. I do think the first weekend (the one we will be there lol) will be a little busier, but nothing like we experienced last year at the end of Oct.

September is "our" month for Disneyland! We went in '06 and '07 and it was AMAZING! Perfect weather, light crowds, walk on rides... We're hoping for the same scenario this september!

OMG, thank you for posting this, I had no idea that TSMM will be closed down. I was planning a surprise trip for my hubby's b-day and it's one of my kiddos' favorite attraction.

Where do I find out what is going to be closed when?? (if that makes any sense.....)

You're welcome. They announced the fall refurbs about a week ago. If you look at the official calendar on disneyland.com for your dates through Oct. it should tell you.
