September Park Hours

So our trip is the 15th-24th and up until this week when the hours have been released day by day, I went off of the previous week to gauge what the hours were going to be. I knew which days were MNSSHP so aside from those I saw EMH were the same park on the same days, and most parks were open the same hours. So the previous week 11th, MK has evening EMH from 9pm til 12 am, the following week while I'm there (the 18th) only 9pm to 11pm. And MK closes at 9 on a "normal" night the week I am there rather than 10 like the first 2 weeks in September. Is this normal? The other parks match up almost exactly as far as opening and closing times. Except HS which closes at 8 instead of 8:30 but that whole park is up in the air for us until Galaxy's Edge opens anyway. That's a lot of words to just say, I want that extra hour at MK!!!!! Anything going on that week that I missed?

Park hours are always subject to change - but the last few years we've gone in mid-september and the parks have switched to 9pm close. By that time of year they are (usually) outside of the summer rush, kids are back in school, and so the parks close a little earlier due to lower crowds. That may all change with SWGE opening, but nothing has been set in stone yet.

Change drastically? Or change within a few hours or so? We were planning dining as well as which park we visit on which days which is why we were looking at park hours.

They can change a lot or a little. I have been in the MK when a few hours before park close they extended the park hours by 2 hours I think. This dose not happen often but you never really know the park hours until the park close for the day

EMH used to be 3 hours.
They have not been 3 hours in years though so you must be mistaken on what you saw.
Park hours are not finalized until about 3-6 weeks out so wait until then to see how much time you'll be getting at MK.

I'm so glad too hear the hours might get longer. I'm also going in mid-September.

I have been in September 2 times, once in 2018 and 2016. The park hours for both trips had everything closing at 9 (besides EMH), but you also have to watch out for MNSSHP nights as well for MK closes at 6.

As every September guest comes to know, the trade-off for lower crowds is reduced park hours. I would not expect any significant shift or expansion of hours for mid- or late September. As I recall, they slightly expanded park hours last year in early September for the week after Labor Day, but the rest of the month remained mostly unchanged.

Also noteworthy - the 9pm close this September for MK actually is later than last year's close on non-party nights (which was a very early 8pm close). I'd expect DHS to stay open later for SW:GE (just as they did following the opening of Pandora and TSL) - and possibly add some additional hours at a particular park each day if they expect the need to offset, but otherwise not much change.

And to clarify for the thread - the EMH on Sept 11 is from 10pm-12am, while it is 9-11pm on Sept 18 (so both 2 hours as usual).

Im there 15th to 26th as well. I actually had exactly the same thoughts as you. As Star Wars is partially open youd expect changes
