September / October solo

Hi everyone,

I am thinking of taking a solo trip September 29th to October 4th. I have been a few times with family and have always stayed at a value resort. I am tempted to do DVC rental but trying to decide which resort I would stay at. Since I am solo I do not need a large room and will mostly be there just for sleeping but I would like to experience something a bit more than a value offers. I also like the idea of being somewhat closer to one or more of the parks. The downside is I don't want to spend an extreme amount of course.


I won't be able to book until March or April as I am tying this trip to a conference.



Any suggestions on resorts would be greatly appreciated.

You may run into an issue because of needing to wait to book. That time of the year is extremely popular with DVC owners and it's one of the more difficult to get a room, especially studios close to the parks, if you are booking at less than 7 months out. If there are studios available they are most likely to be at SSR or AKV or possibly OKW. If there's a way you could book earlier that would be the best plan.

Yeah, I figure it won't pan out but I'll see if anything is available and if there isn't anything good then I'll fall back on a value resort.
