September Crowds?

We will be in Paris the third week in September. We would like to spend one day at Disneyland Paris, hopefully getting a park-hopper and going to both parks.

A few questions for those DLP experts:

--Will there be big crowds the third week in September?
--How late are the parks open that time of year?
--Given that we are quite familiar with WDW and Disney California, what would you consider the 'must sees and must dos' at DLP if you only had one day?

Thanks for any information.

Hi Vakamalua,

The crowds in September are fine imho - very do-able, EXCEPT WEEK ENDS.
As many of the summer shows, parades etc. continue until the end of September, it seems like many French want to take advantage of that in their free week ends (kids are in school in September, even in France). Especially since the weather is quite good in September, usually.

So if possible, choose a week day, as early in the week as possible is best. I think the opening hours are typically 10am-10pm + fireworks plus Extra magic hours 8am-10am for Disneyland Park, and 10am-7pm for the Studios (no EMH), although they may be shorter later on in the month for the Disneyland Park.

I would choose a park hopper ticket: the parks are really close together, a couple of minutes' walk (nothing compared to WDW!), so you can and will use it.

You haven't written anything about your party, so it's hard to say what the "must do's" are. I'd say Big Thunder Mountain is a must do - better than the one in Magic Kingdom. Space mountain: ditto (if they made it smoother by now, that is!). I'm a sucker for "Les pays des contes de fées" (Storybook Ride), very peaceful little boat ride. And take lots of pictures of the castle!
And in the Studios: Stitch (same as Turtle talk with Crush, but more fun, for adults too) and Crush's Coaster (although you might want to skip the long lines here if you only have the 1 day). Ratatouille, the new 3D ride, is also very good.

Enjoy!

We like to go for the last week of September. Crowd levels are quite low. This past September the main park closed at 8 pm, if I remember correctly. Buzz is a must for us. In the Studios, I would think that Crush's Coaster and Ratatouille must not be missed.
