September at DL

i want to go to DL in september.

what are the crowds like?

what is the weather like at that time of year?

are there any special events?

do large groups go then? (groups along the lines of pop warner weekend at WDW)

I dont have any answers except that the DL 1/2 marathon is the weekend of the 17th. It has filled to capacity already so I expect there will be alot of people there.

Weekends are always crowded, but it shouldn't be too bad during the week. Weather can be hot (read 90+ degrees) still through most of the month. There usually aren't too many large groups.
