The funny thing is that I could take my dog, Lucy. She is a diabetes alert dog. Since I live alone, she is invaluable to me. One of the main things she does is wake me up at night if my sugar drops. Since my sister is going with me, I am leaving Lucy with my BIL. We're going to have the beds separated and I don't know how Lucy and I would handle sleeping together on a twin bed! (I use a full bed at home!)
When I leave the apartment, she rides in the basket of my ECV:

She is trained not to bark at people, other dogs or any animal. People are always commenting about how "good" she is--of course she is. Service dogs have to be "good" if they are real service dogs!
