September 22, 2012 Fantasy Eastern "From Fantasyland to the Fantasy"

Ok... Sorry if this sounds like a ridiculous question... But, this is my first Disney cruise, and I'm still learning alot!! About the FE gifts.. Is it suppossed to be 1 gift to each cabin (or each person in each cabin) PER DAY... Or is it just One per cabin (or per person)... It would seem like ALOT If it's per day... I'm imagining running around every day to 30different cabins... Lol... My brain couldn't handle that!!! :scared::rotfl:

Honestly, it's all up to you as to how much you want to do! We are doing one per cabin, but putting in little trinkets for the entire stateroom. Also, we are only delivering our gift once for the entire cruise. Good luck and hope this helped! :thumbsup2

We only visit each cabin once per cruise to deliver our gifts. But, it is completely up to you...some people do one gift per cabin, one gift per person, gifts for kids only...whatever you'd like!

We go around 1 time to deliver gifts.... We will have 1 or 2 things per cabin but if there are children I will have a couple more things for them. Don't feel obligated to do too much- it is for fun and truly is "the thought that counts"...

Is anyone making logo T-shirts or Tie-dye shirts to wear on the cruise?

We have done both before and will again this time! :goodvibes

If you have not seen this before it is a lot of fun and can be done at a reasonable price.

Here are our logo shirts we wore onboard our last cruise:

Iron on transfers! Easy peasy! You can use the logo in
Post 1- they were sized for easy printing on 8.5 x 11 transfer paper (and printable magnet paper too for door magnets ;))

And my tie-dye mickey head shirts and dresses! These were so much fun!

These were a little more challenging to do- only because there are a few things to learn about tie-dye before attempting this project. The good news is there are a couple of Dis threads that give step by step instructions. if you are interested check them out here:

Tie Dye Shirts Thread 1

Tie Dye Shirts Thread 2

The less crafty can also buy them on Etsy! :thumbsup2

Doing shirts along with our FE gifts and making door magnets will be among the projects I will be keeping busy with in the upcoming weeks. What cruise projects are the rest of you working on? :)

I am making dresses for the girls for embarkation day, and then I will have some sort of coordinating shirt and DH will have a little disneyfied polo or something to match. W did red and green Mickey tie dye shirts one year when we went to WDW for MVMCP. You would have thought that I was drilling a cavity on my hubby...he HATED the matching shirts! I am making him dress as a pirate for pirate night, so I might already have used up all my forced outfit cards! ;)

So I'm hoping to do t-shirts with the logo for me and my mom. Never actually did them myself. Ordered the double dip ones on line and ordered our WBTA as part of a large group.

I can relate to your husband with the matching tie dye. I did not want to participate last time Jen made them. I've got to admit that I felt a little left out when the four of them had them and not me. I think I'll conform this time.:rolleyes1

Ha ha ha ha! Jen...write that down. I think he may have just admitted you were right! ;)

On another note, since I know you guys have girls, and others on the cruise as well...I don't want to shell out the massive bucks for the princess dress on the fantasy at BBB. However, I am having a hard time finding princess costumes that aren't a fortune to bring along! I honestly thought that my oldest would protest...she tries to act like she has outgrown a lot of that stuff...but alas...she wants to be a princess too!

My husband won't wearing matching shirts either. He did say he would wear the cruise logo on a shirt with a pocket so its not toooooo obvious. I made matching tye dye shirts for our kids (3) and docma123 kids (2) as well as myself and my cuz. The husbands didn't want to wear the shirts I made.

He did say though that he would wear a 9/22 cruise design on a pocket tee.

Just FYI, there is a 25% off entire purchase sale on Disneystore.com that is going on till Sunday. The princess dresses are the same that they sell in the parks and in BBB... But are much cheaper!! The rapunzel dress is reg price $44.50... With the 25% off.. It will be $33.37!!! The discount applies to ANY of the dresses though!!

Thanks so much for the tip! Since we got dresses for both girls, it was over $75 so we used the free shipping code too. I think they want to wear them for Halloween too. ;)

So I am in a planning frenzy the last few days! Can ya tell?:rotfl:

Today's question is- are any of you planning on going to the Dis Welcome Center before the cruise, and if so...when?

We are definitely doing to drop by, I guess I had assumed we would do it on Friday but I am wondering if Saturday in the morning before the cruise would be better. Just curious if anyone else had it in their plans. :goodvibes

(And has anyone already been there? I know it has only been open a little over a month so chances aren't likely but....)

And finally...a reminder:

Just three (3) More days to sign up for the Fish Extender List! If you've been thinking about it- don't wait! Sign up now! :thumbsup2

The main FE list will close on 7/22/12! If you want to sign up send me a PM!

I have plans for matching t-shirts - I was contemplating making mickey head (on the back) tie-dye & with the cruise logo on the shirt pocket.

However, I really like the shape of your shirt with the gathering at the chest. Where did you find a plain white one like that? I could seriously go for a tie-dye shirt like that!
