The largest cruise ship in the world is Docked in Boston
Got to see it Last night . thing is huge.

When the ship came in the harbor air traffic had to be suspended.
they do that when anything taller than 175 ' comes down the channel
The Freedom Of The Seas is 208 feet tall. :teeth: :teeth:

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! Here it is 54° :sunny:

It's been busy. I had a 5k friday night. First one for a long time. This is one I had to do. It was a fundraiser for the nearby church school. Also, the path went right by our house. Answer to the question on everybody's minds.....well, every train needs a caboose. :)

Last night we went to a phundraiser for the Mishawaka Parrotheads. Was a great time. Good food. Great music-The Caribbean Blue Band. If you ever get a chance to see these guys, do so. They are out of Detroit and mainly do the area, but they do make the trip to Florida for MOTM.
I also got to meet Captain Morgan. :thumbsup2 pirate:

Enjoy the rest of this beautiful weekend. :sunny:

Also a reminder to let us know (RSVP) about the pre cruise Wine and Cheese meet we are having at OKW. Tracy, are you able to help with the link to the Radisson?

Scott, I will put Bill on this (he's the computer geek you know :teeth: ). Just need to know who who have the computers on each end and he'll contact you (I think Scott H and Bob & Lee).
Before the planning gets too far along, not sure how involved I can be. Not for sure when we will be to port. Not sure when everyone wanted to meet. And the big thing for Lee and I was being at Grills to be able to see the the Magic pull out. This is something I've wanted to do every since our first cruise and we saw all the people waving from Grills. So will have to wait and see before I could comitt to being the link at the Radisson.

No Probs Bob, we will see what ever works out.

Glad to hear you had a good weekend.

Hello all,
I have been lurking on the boards, we have been busy with medical issues with DW. She is recovering and anixous to go on a the 11 day.
I was WONDERing if anyone knows when we can start linking dinner reservations? I would like to offer to take care of this task for the LATE DINING GROUP. What I need to know is, does anyone have a choice of which rotation that would like, or does it really matter?
What do you think, any suggestions?

Thanks,
Ken

Happy Weekend to All you all!

We will not be attending any pre cruise events but are sure looking forward to getting to know all of you onboard. :grouphug:
We aren't planning on linking any of our dining. Think Palo. :lovestruc
Lamar is ready for the grass skirt Movement Scott and I'm ready to help Carol with the Fish extender activities on board if she needs!

Beautiful Sunny Florida day upper 80's and rising. :sunny:

We're busy getting ready for the upcoming hurricane season. Today is our first tax free day for supplies so we just purchased a new generator for power outages. (our last FEMA generator was stolen from the garage 3 months ago). Stocking up on batteries, bought a couple more gas cans & propane tanks for the gas grill.

Planning one more diving trip to the Keys to kick off the hurricane season as well. We want to dive the Spiegel Grove again. You never know what the storms might do if they come through. She could end up back on her side .

Now that we have a list of the onshore excursions, I was wondering if anyone had any throughts, pros or cons, on any of these.

It would be fun to find out other's opinions.

That sounds like fun.

After doing research on the ports in the past, the things I was interested in doing aren't being offered, so I may have to do something on my own.

I gotta go to Mount Gay in Barbados!!!
Hey Tracy,

Here's a tour that goes to Mount Gay..........and does some tasting too. Thank goodness we hit Barbados on a Friday, 'cause the rum factory is closed on weekends. I think Stephen and I may just do this trip, since he's a 'rummy' from way back.

Shoretrips.com

BTW, we just signed up for Eli's Eco Tour tomight. Hope there's still room on the boat for us.

I'll have to take a look at that. I really wanted to go to the Caves in Barbados and then to the rum factory.

On St. Lucia, there is so much I want to do. I was thinking of looking into a private tour that would do all the thinks I want. I want to see waterfalls and rainforests and would like to see the volcano and the cities a bit. There is a great tour I found people talking about at Cruise Critic at www.cosoltours.com (I think). Anyone interested?

Also on St. Johns I want to see more of the island and do some snorkeling. Haven't really decided on St. Kitts and will be doing the Extreme Circumnav on Antigua.

I'm thinking about the Rainforest Hike on St Kitts. I'm just not sure if I'd rather do the tour thru Disney or ShoreTrips. They're both about 3.5 hours and seem to cover the same ground, so price may be a factor in this decision.

St Lucia presents a problem when booking with other tour companies, since we don't dock until noon. Most of the tours I've looked at leave around 8 - 9 am, which will be impossible to do on this cruise. :(

Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes last week.

Carol-got the Mickey Fish Extender Sat. Was so excited. Showed DD (14) and she thinks I'm crazy. Those crazy disboard people..................... Now I have to decide how to decorate.

Been looking at excursions, not sure yet what we are doing for sure.

Need to order Cafe press shirts too. Thanks for the coupon info.

Okay, work to do!

Anyone hear what the "hurricane outlook" was by the hurricane center this morning? I left work before the Today Show did the interview.

Linda

Oh.........one more thing...............

FOR ALL PARROTHEADS!!

Jimmy Buffet on the Today Show this Friday doing a couple of songs for the summer concert series. Next best thing I'll get to being at a Parrothead get together. Never heard of one here in Utah!
