September 13, 2014 7 Night Fantasy Cruise

Hi All! Looks like we are the first to book this cruise. We just switched from the June cruise because the rates were so high and just saved almost half the cost. I hope others find this! Would love to do Fish Extenders, etc!

Hi I just stumbled upon this form and our family too is sailing on Sept 13th, 2014!! I have been on a Disney cruise many times, and my husband has actually worked for the Disney Cruise line before it was officially Disney (Big Red Boat). We know many performers on the cruise ships.

Anyways we are taking our three children for the FIRST time!! They are super excited and my best friend and her family will be also cruising!!

We would love to participate in the fish extenders as well, this is all new to us so we might need some guidance as far as how to play along. I am going to be sewing our own fish extenders and embroidering them

Welcome to the group! Now i know we are not alone!! This will be our first 7 night cruise, but our 8th Disney cruise. We are doing the 2 nighter out of San Diego, CA in May of 2014 right before this one. Can't wait to get on the Fantasy, the Dream was amazing i thought. On that one, we did fish extenders and a cabin crawl as well, it was a blast!

We have always done 7 night cruises, nothing less. I hope the kids don't think it's too long. My parents have been DVC members for years! What is a cabin crawl? Also how do the fish extenders gift exchanges work/get organized? Just wondering as this is the first I am hearing of it.

The cabin crawl is when a group of us volunteer to let others see our class of cabin. we had someone take a list of those wanting to do it, then we got to see almost every type of cabin. we were lucky enough to have someone in the walt disney suite, so we got to see that too!! we just did mainly one from each class if possible, 2 if they were different. it was a lot of fun, and walking!

Question about when the FE group gets put together. I know we are over 1yr away. When do the groups usually get set in stone? I am a very crafty person and have 3 kids so I need time to make things and let my creative mind settle on a few ideas so I don't overwhelm myself because I will be making all of our families shirts as well as the kids outfits!! So do we get at least 4mo heads up?!

We are also cruising September 13, 2014! This is our second Disney cruise, our first cruise was on the Dream in November 2011. We are so excited! Our children will be 9 (son) and 6 (daughter) when we cruise. Looking forward to spending this pre-cruise time with everyone!

We just changed our reservation to this cruise. It'll be DH and myself, and our DS22 and his girlfriend will be in their own cabin.

This will be our 4th Disney cruise but first time on the Fantasy.

Thanks for the "welcome" I just sent a request to join the Facebook page.

We were on the Magic in 2004, 2006, and 2012. We've also done many trips to WDW so maybe you've seen me over on the Resorts Board? I used to live on the Polynesian thread. LOL I've also posted on the Restaurants Board a lot before and after our WDW trips.

I think we might fly down a couple of days early for this cruise and spend a day or two at the parks. Since September is hurricane weather, I want to give us a few days down there before we sail. We've been on a few hurricane cruises before, most notably the 2004 10-night Hurricane Frances cruise.

Hi, everyone! We'll be cruising with you all next September! Last week (May 25th Fantasy) was our first cruise. I was perplexed by the "hangy things" on some of the doors, but now I am WAY excited about having my OWN fish extender!! Wait, I mean having a fish extender for my kids. Our crew consists of Jamey (dad 38), Melissa (mom 36), Cameron (DS 12), and Audrey (DD 9). We typically go to WDW on our September school break, but just realized the cruise prices are good for that time of year. We are moving our usual September WDW trip to February.

I am brand new to this board, so don't yell at me if I screw up and post in the wrong place or accidentally reply to the wrong post!

Looking forward to getting to know our fellow cruisers!
