Sept, Oct, Nov F&W Meets - Will There Be Disers At Your Event?

Ok, last update for the night.

Time for bed for me. Got to get to work at the crack of dawn.

Melissa, Thanks for all the time you're devoting to this.

Next update, would you please add both myself and Dancind to the 10/27 Bistro pairing? Thanks! :goodvibes

These events are the special events for the Festival. They range in price from $45 to $350 per person for the event from Food & Wine Pairings at Epcot Restuarants to Regional Feasts and 5 course Food and Wine Dinners. The special events provide people with more in depth experiences with the chefs and vinters. Check out allears's page http://www.allearsnet.com/tp/ep/foodwine.htm#details
if you want more details.

One thing to note this year is that the events are non-refundable so don't book anything if you aren't sure you would attend or enjoy it.

It is my opinion that you don't have to go to book an event to have a good time at Food and Wine Festival. There are booths set up around the World Showcase that you can buy samples of food and wine from differing countries. There are also free wine and beer tastings held almost daily but people start lining up for those quick.

and the list has been updated :D

Melissa
We will be at the:

Party For the Senses-October 20, 2007 (Party of 4)
Sweet Sundays-October 21, 2007

Still waiting on
October 22
Sake, Sushi, and Sashimi Food & Wine Pairing @ Teppan Edo

I second Melissa's comments. The first year I did the event I just did the free seminars/kitchen demonstrations and ate around the booths. The next time I attended I tried a food and wine pairing, again mainly sampling from the booths and attending the seminars. This year is the first year I'm branching out a little. If there is something that really appeals to you, go for it. But you definitely can have a great time without the "extra" events, and I think that is actually preferable for the first time attending the festival.

Thank you for your answers, you guys are awesome.

We are booked for PFTS on Oct 27th!:goodvibes This will be our first. Anyone going then want to meet up?

I added you to the list...currently these Disers will be joining you on the 27th:
Rpsemont
Kmmccart75
ukwildcat

DH and I will be attending our first PftS on 10/13. And our kids (7 and 4 yo) will be in the Sandcastle Club for the very first time that night!

Will any other DISkids be there while the grownups are at PftS? It would be so cool if they could have a "meet" of their own!

Sure we'd love to meet some others! I know some others were thinking about trying to snag and share a sitting table, but I really like the standing tables. Maybe if we get enough people we could end up with a couple "DIS" tables.

We have a group of 8 for the Morocco Wine Pairing 10/23
A group of 4 for the 10/24 Regional Feast
A group of 4 for the 10/27 PFTS

How is the sandcastle club, DD is currently booked in at the Neverland club but the sandcastle would be more convient for us. (Dd is going to be 7) I never thought of the sandcastle.

Hi everyone, DH and I will be going to the PFTS on OCT 27th. I posted a picture so if you see us, flash your LGMH LOL. It would be fun to have someone to talk to.
