Never heard of Farm and Fleet here, there weren't any in NYC where I grew up! :rotfl2: :rotfl:

I'm not Cindy, but here's the site that I have where they post Black Friday ads. It's all over the Budget Board, so I'm assuming it's ok to post. http://blackfriday.gottadeal.com//

Yes, Amy and all FL friends, stay safe. Hopefully, this is the last one of the season.

Hey Diana, I never thought to look on the budget board. Could have saved me some PM's today. Thanks.

Has anyone else noticed that the "temperment" of the DIS is kind of shaky these days? That's where my hesitation came from as far as posting/not posting.

Here's a picture from Emily's birthday party with some of the little girls dressed up in some of Emily's princess dresses that my mom has made.

Amy, those dresses are amazing!! Your mother should start her own business!

Hey, Amy, what do you think? Maybe your Mom could even get some business from this thread. :teeth: :teeth:

Seriously, I just asked Amy, who asked her Mom if she would make me some pack-n-play pillowcase sheets. Amy's Mom was nice enough to agree to the job. I'm so excited.....they are something I've been having made for a long time. And, looking at the quality of the dresses she's done, I'm certain my sheets will be TOP NOTCH!! :cool1: :cool1:

I know, I tell her the same thing. She missed out on this season's Halloween, but I really think that she could make a killing!!! I look at the dresses that they sell at WDW for $65 and I just about fall over. My mom's are SO much nicer and better made!!!

She does do stuff free-lance, whenever someone asks. She's altered and made several wedding dresses, including my own. She's done all of my prom & formal dresses for college. She even does curtains and other home dec stuff. She just usually gets her "business" from friends & family, or friends of family!!

Ya know....I have to admit, I looked at the awesome pack and play pillowcase sheet on the cruise long and hard and thought....would they really miss this.....it's soooo cute!! But my conscience got the best of me and I left it there. I've never stolen anything in my entire life, why would I start at 32? I'm just too honest!

They had something like that on the cruise? And, I missed it!! I can't believe it.

Always a day late and a dollar short. :guilty:

Can you tell me how they worked? I'm trying to describe to Amy what I'm looking for. I've never seen one, I just know the regular pack and play sheets don't work.

Was there a valcro closure on the back?

I've only seen the ones at WDW and they just have elastic around them. I don't like them at all. I almost like the "real" pack-n-play sheets better than the ones at WDW. We didn't use one on the cruise, since we knew that Maddie wouldn't sleep in it.

Oh, man, I wish Amy's mom was closer...two reasons, #1, she could have my stray that's still hanging around here...#2, she could have fixed KT's flower girl dress. The lady who did it seemed amazing. Even took the whole thing apart and redid it. Two fittings later, and on the night before the wedding, the thing actually fit WORSE than when it was first bought---it gaped a lot in the front, and modest KT didn't feel comfortable in it. I had to buy a camisole at wal*mart to put under the dress after the ceremony was over (and after pictures)

(sigh) bet Amy's mom could have fixed it! :)

Yeah, she would have LOVED that cat, and I know that she could have fixed KT's dress.

The FedEx dude brought my frame this afternoon. Do you guys remember how hot my FedEx guy is? Anyways....we got the litho in the frame and added the pins. I took Gail's approach and put the pins through the litho figuring I have 2 more....I'm not looking for the value in it...it's the memories. OK, here's the pic of it!

ETA: Bruce is being a little self conscious about his fingers showing for all the online world to see! :rotfl2: He wants me to crop him out of the pic and repost it. :rotfl:

Nice fingers, Bruce! :teeth: :rotfl2:

I never would have noticed if you didn't point them out.

Where did you have yours done, Diana. It looks great.

I ordered it from a website, the frame, mat, plexiglass, and foam backing was $58 shipped....good deal I think. It was called framesbymail.com. You enter in the size of your picture and it calculates what size frame and mat you need. They have a pretty nice set up, and decent prices.

Oh we had Farm and Fleet in Iowa where I grew up - actually I think it's still there perhaps?

Jenny - awesome photos of the kids!

Thanks to all for the congrats. We are very excited and just waiting for our one year mark to go to contract (it's a Disney thing). If you want to catch a glimpse of the ceremony I would suggest a stay at the BCV or BWI as we're planning to have an early evening ceremony at the Yacht Club Gazebo before making our way with our guests to MGM. As it will be closer to sunset I think that blinkies are in order for attire!

Cindy - I love to shop the Black Friday sales, post the links away my friend!

Amy and everyone in Florida - stay safe!

Good Evening Ladies!
I just got caught up on some posts, I missed the boards last night. Jeff is out of town and Nick & I had dinner at my parents then Mom & I went to a Tastefully Simple party.

Julie - Congratulations!!!!! I'm so happy for you. If I'm lucky enough to make it on the next cruise I think the whole blinkie patrol will be stopping by to see how gorgeous you will be in your wedding dress!

Jenny & Amy - OMG such cute pictures. Amy you Mom is a wonderful seamstress, the girls costume are beautiful!
Stay safe this weekend. Hopefully Wilma won't come your way, but unfortunately it's gotta come somebodies way.
A friend will be on the Disney Wonder this weekend, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I told her not to worry that Cpt Henry will take care of her!

Ok Farm & Fleet???? Never heard of the place.

Diana I really like the way the litho turned out. I might have to check out that website!

Diana your litho looks great. I really like the white frame with the red mat! I think the pins along the bottom help the words stand out. I wish they would have made the words a little darker. My sister who was on the Aug repo said the "Ducky" litho they got had the faint printing too.

Tell Bruce I didn't notice his fingers until I read your post :rotfl2:

You should have told the Fed Ex guy that you needed to take his picture while he was delivering the frame!

Thanks! Our family room has beige walls with white trim, so I was trying to match, even though you technically aren't supposed to match frames to your room. :confused3 I got the red mat because I FINALLY convinced Bruce to buy me the red microfiber living room set I've been drooling over for the past year! It will be here in 5 weeks or so....just in time for me to be nice and cozy while sitting on hold with DVC for hours on 12/3!

And even though it was kinda chilly this morning my FedEx guy had shorts on..... :rolleyes1

We just got good news! Mike is OFF, completely OFF, on December 3rd. Which is good, because I found out right after I got the rehearsal schedule and we'll have to leave home at 12:55 in order to get to rehearsal....so there is that risk of dropped cell phone calls! ACK!

So now we'll BOTH be able to tackle it until almost 1, and hopefully by then we'll have our room!!

GREAT pictures lately....kids in costume, framed lithos....good job everyone! :) Especially Bruce and his very revealing fingertips!
