A much better option which I hadn't remembered about. We will seek out these. If we can avoid the issue at the airport, I know Cameron will be okay on the plane. Gee, 1 person can hardly fit in those bathrooms, let alone someone who might be out to harm a child.

Here you go!

Did anyone else get the CD in the mail today from DCL?

It's supposed to take me away to the DCL/tropical paradise.

It's working! ;)

We haven't received our mail yet, but I will be on the lookout for one. Hopefully we'll be on whatever mailing list is being used. :cool1:

We just got home from the pumpkin farm. It's 81 degrees out there and about 80% humidity. I have never been to the pumpkin farm on a day where I was concerned about the kids wearing sunscreen.

The farm we go to has a petting zoo. I'm always amazed at the animals they have there -- zebras, lemurs, a baby giraffe, tigers, lions, moose. We've had some pretty cool experiences there. Today we were there just as they were bottle feeding a couple baby antelopes. Even I was amazed by that.

All the kids went down for nap. I have a couple hours to recharge before they wake up. Gee, the music CD could come in handy about now. :)

Diana I got an e-mail stating that Woodbury is doing some extra sales for the holiday weekend....so they'll be new bargains for you!!! Are you a AAA member? If you are, you can go to the food court info booth and get a free coupon book($10 for non-members). The Disney outlet had some good sales (they have a 10% off $40 or more coupon in the book), but don't be fooled by the costumes being on sale. They're having the same sales at the stores, so if you're near a TDS in NJ while you're visiting - get it there and save the sales tax. Was it you that wanted me to list the costumes TDS had? Someone did, but I can't remember who and I thought the person may have had sons?!?!?

BTW where exactly in NJ will you be...if you don't mind me asking? I'm in Norther NJ (Bergen County). Will you be in my neck of the woods?

:cool1: Off to check out the locations! Thanks

Funny, but both of your little "smilies" look like they could use a potty about now! :rotfl2:

We went to the mall today to pick up our new Cinderella DVD. Boy, the Disney Store was a zoo!! We got there, did some shopping for Emily's Halloween accessories (Belle shoes, wand & crown) along with a few other things. By the time that we got to the register, their computers were down. It took about 20 minutes before I could get checked out. Oh well, it wasn't there fault. And, surprisingly, Madison didn't get too upset about the wait.

Maybe little Madison is learning the art of people watching. One of my favorite things to do -- especially at WDW. Never fails, I always see someone amazing. :earseek:

Yes, I'm a AAA member. We usually get the coupon book...it never hurts to save a buck or two! It wasn't me who asked about costumes. We got JoJo and Goliath from DD when they had the 25% off costume code with Disney Visa, so we got a pretty good deal.

Dad lives in Oradell, like 2 minutes from the Paramus Mall...which is where your TDS is, right?

Sounds like you two might be able to meet up. Wouldn't that be cool!! :cool1:

Stephanie, I think I was the one curious about what TDS offered this year. But, no Disney for us this year. The boys are getting "to big" for "those" type of costumes.

Yep, they will be one of the many ninja-guys dressed all in black. Oh so creative.

Hey, those ninja costumes are WAY cheaper than the Disney ones, which means you'll have more money for your trip!

Yes, they are. And, with the stash of black stuff we have in the Halloween gear, not much needed in the way of new things.

I miss the days when I could pick out their costumes and they willingly wore them. Cameron was the cutest little Dumbo. Walker was the cutest little lion one year (non Disney). I made Cameron a little dalmation with a white sweatsuit and felt dots along with the cutest little hat (probably the only time I've ever been really creative). Walker was a cute little monkey. They were so adorable. Of course, they were like 2-3 so they didn't really have an opinion about what they were wearing.

Those days are long gone!

Do most little girls look forward to dressing up as Cinderella, Snow White or any of the princesses??

Oh, I know that Emily does!! Since my mom has made her several princess dresses for her dress-up stuff, she just got to pick what she wanted to be this year. She had her choice between her Belle, Aurora, Cinderella, Snow White & Jasmine. She was Ariel last year. She decided on Belle, so when I was at the Disney Store today, I picked up the shoes, magic wand & crown for Belle. She wants Belle "hair". I told her that we would look at WDW, and if they didn't have a wig, then I would do her hair up like Belle.

Then, I let Emily pick out what Madison is going to be. She had her choice between Cinderella & Aurora, since that's what my mom has patterns for. So, Maddie is going to be Aurora. She was Snow White last year!!

I kind of thought they did. I don't have a lot of girls in my daycare as a rule, so I have no first hand experience.

I see those costumes at the Disney store. Add the shows and accessories, and that is one expensive Halloween costume. You are so lucky you have your mom to help make the costumes. And, I'm certain they are nicer than anything you could buy in the stores.

Oh yeah, mom does a beautiful job. We buy all the material on sale or with a coupon, so it keeps the costs down. I can tell you that Belle is completely made of bright yellow satin with a crinoline underneath. Both Snow White and Aurora, she used velvet for the bodice. She does a spectacular job. Her dream is to retire and work at WDW in their wardrobe department.

Sam's going with something I saw in Family Fun magazine this year. He's going to be a New England Patriots Quarterback.

I'm dressing him in jeans and a NE Patriots Hoodie, and then I'm making a giant quarter which I'll velcro to his back. Different, yet still within his definition of "cool" . :rotfl2:

Last year he went as an alien who'd abducted a child. He loved the costume and got lots of compliments, but he also discovered that it was REALLY heavy. He wanted a lighter costume this year....

BTW - The truth is now out. Even though I haven't been posting that much, I'm still lurking in this thread!

We just finished planning our Christmas trip to WDW. I think this may be one of our cheapest trips ever:

3 r/t airline tickets - FREE (Frequent Flier Miles)

1st night Hilton DTD - FREE (Hilton Honors points)

22 - 28 DEC VWL - Pre-Paid (Whoo Hoo! Love DVC! )

Rental Car - $200/wk and 3 class upgrade :cheer2:

$$$$ to spend on vacation - :guilty: Guess where the savings is going? :rotfl2:

Now that's the way to travel!

We'll be at OKW from the 23rd to the 30th. Not sure how much park time we will do because of the crowds - just want to hang out at the resort and relax.

We're going to do a little bit of each. I think Sam will have a heart-attack if we don't spend some time at the parks. If I had realized that you guys were going to be there at the same time, I would have booked adjoining rooms and brought along Wheelchair Bob. :rotfl2:

YIPPIE!!

I figured out what to do with my "art of DVC" calendar!!!

It is totally non-functional for me as a planner---not enough room to write and I rely on the visuals of seeing the blocks in 7 columns (Sun-Sat)....and since there is no year on it....

It's now my birthday/anniversary calendar. I've put everyone's birthday and birth year on the appropriate line. Same with anniversary couples and the year they were married.

Should keep me organized enough to get cards out on time! :)

And it's functional year after year....unless of course I end up with a family or friend who has a Feb 29th birthday (that date is not listed) :)
