I'm the same way. I use my debit card all the time but I always tell the kids I'll catch them on my way out and get cash back specifically for them. Annmarie

That's a great idea. Unfortunately I never have my debit card on me. I usually just go out with my drivers license and my Mickey credit card. I need to chage that practice, huh?

Amy....Dongle has been gone 4 days. He's back! Who KNOWS where he was....but he found his way home. Mike just called him the Prodigal son. Prodigal CAT is more like it!
Well, is Dongle fixed?? If not, maybe he was out making little Dongles. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Since were talking about changed menus - has anyone been brave enough to try the new garden grill??

Good morning everyone! How's everyone? Chris is still sleeping, he went to Busch Gardens' Howl-O-Scream last night, and didn't get home until after 2am. Somehow, I don't think that we're making it to church this morning.

No big plans for me today, besides finishing up my laundry and cleaning up the house for Emily's bday party next Sat. I need to make a list of things to do throughout the week, so I'm not up until midnight on Friday night trying to get it all done.

How's your Sunday?

Yes. We did when we were there in May. They had a soft opening when we happened to be in The Land. It was VERY good. And their dessert. The fondue. MMMMMMM.

It was so good, that later in the trip, we went back....AGAIN. And, although the food was great, I didn't eat as much so I could save more room for the fondue!!!

Yes, fixed and declawed. Our cat will go away sometimes and we wonder if he's out hunting, but never for 4 days.

Should be pretty quiet here. The kids are still at Grandma and Grandpa's house. I'm skipping church today b/c the topic is all about being a single. I did go last week when it was about marrieds and it was very good. Just don't need the singles information now. :)

I think I'll do the Flylady thing and spend 15 minutes in my basement. JUST 15. A little more laundry. Switching over all the beds to flannel.

Mike works today. The office opens at 9 and will stay open until 5 or until people stop calling to come in....he's hoping it'll be 2:00 like last week. Then maybe I can get HIM to do 15 minutes in the basement! :) We have to drop his car off at the service center and then we'll probably come home and watch some more 24. :)

Workin at the FD today. Our county wide disaster drill is today. I am sure to be drinkin heavy tonight. Hope you all have good Sundays!

I'm trying to do the Flylady thing. Some days it works better than others. And, I can't even imagine flannel. It's still 93 degrees here in central FL. However, I am looking forward to a little cooler temps. By now, it's usually only in the 80s, but I like the days in the upper 70s, low 80s.

Amy I hope Madison is doing better - poor little nose!

princess: Happy Belated Birthday to Julia princess:

We're hanging around the house until Deanna's soccer game at 6 pm. I like the 15 minute idea for the basement - but in my case it's going to take alot of 15 minutes!

Ah yes, it is getting time for the flannel sheets, but it looks like the weather is going to cooperate for the next week and stay in the mid to high 70's, so we'll hold off just a bit longer.

Yeah, I agree with the "alot of 15 minutes" thing. But 15 minutes every day beats the plan I have now (never!) ;)

Last night was a titch warm for the flannel, but I have to take this opportunity while the kids are gone to get those things I put off. I also put on the heated mattress pad because I know we'll be needing that....just not yet. ;)

It's been pretty warm here too during the day, but we had a couple of nights of high 30s here this week! :earseek: I'm actually pleasantly surprised that we've only had one frost so far and I only heard about it because that was while we were away! But no matter how cold it is, you won't catch flannel sheets on my bed. I can't stand flannel sheets they make me itchy! But I'm weird that way--I don't wear long sleeves either. I guess add that to the reasons why I need to pack up and move to Florida!

As for our plans for the day, we have lots and lots of leaves to rake up today. But I cheat and just drive the lawn mower around to clean them up! :rolleyes1

Oh no, not the heated mattress pad! That means winter will be here soon!
Definitely not a lover of winter, but I can't get John to move south.

Our plans for today include Cindy & Gary, pizza, konk koolers and pictures!

Oh yeah, she's doing fine today. You would never know that she got stung yesterday, unless you looked really close at her nose and there's a little red dot.

Come on down, the weather is GREAT!! And, as far as the cold goes, we get a few weeks of cold, TOTAL, for the whole year. And, that's not continuous cold, that's just a few days here and there that make up a few weeks.

I see Mary beat me to it. We just got up.....I have no idea how on earth that happened. Even Walker is still sleeping. So, we are well rested, that's for sure.

We finished up our Halloween decorating yesterday. At this point of my life, I could easily stop doing that type of decorating, but with a 5 year old who looks forward to helping (just long enough to get us going ;) ), it's kind of hard to say no more.

We then dug out all our fall/winter clothes. Cameron has absolutely nothing that will fit him for winter so he'll need an entire new wardrobe. I knew it was coming but some how this year it snuck up on me. The last couple school days it was cold enough here for jeans. We couldn't find any that fit Cameron. I hunted all around the house looking for the new ones I bought last April because he outgrew the others. I couldn't find them. Come to uppack the stuff last night, and I realize that the 2 pairs he's been sqeezing into this past week were the new ones from April. Gee, same thing with shoes, 2 months and they don't fit anymore. At this rate, we won't be able to afford to cruise if my boys continue to grow at this rate. :earseek: Good thing Walker is young enough to still "appreciate and look forward" to being able to fit into Cameron's things.

Still have to figure out what we are bringing for dessert to Mark & Mary's house today. If I didn't think they would read it hear, I'd ask all of you what would be a good plan. Must be store bought as I don't bake (let alone cook) and Mary's a picky eater. So, we will figure something out, I just still don't know what. But, we have 3 1/2 hours so I have plenty of time. :)

Karen, a pediatrician who is open on a Sunday! :cool1: I wish our practice would. No evening sick appointments for us and only early Saturday morning sick visits. :( If needed other times, we have to go to the treatment center, which is not my first choice ever.
