Of course I could be pulling your legs. :rotfl2:

Maybe I know the real date but I'm not going to tell anyone until after I call in and get my cabin. :teeth:

I'm going to Michael's tonight to see about having my litho framed with the pins. I have two other cross stitch pictures that need to be framed. One is of the Castle the other is Mickey - Self Portrait. I bought the kits at DTD and had my mom cross stitch them for me. After seeing how many different colors were in that bag there was no way I was even going to sort the thread :teeth: Now I will be able to get the 70% off all three.

OMG another TZ moment! We have the Castle that was cross stitched by my mom. She was wonderful at it. It is one of my true treasures!

The blue background makes it so pretty! All that metallic thread made me go ewww when I opened the package. I can't wait to get them framed now - of course my mom completed them a while ago.

My mom did a beautiful job on these. She has so much patience working on these things. She's one of those types that stops and starts her thread at every color change so there isn't thread strung across the back. The back looks almost as good as the front :goodvibes

Think your mom will finish my Castle for me? I'm about 1/4 of the way done. I usually work on it for 2 weeks then put it away for a year. UGH. It'll be awesome when it's done....and I'm going to frame it along with this:

OH MY!! Another TZ moment.
My back looks as good as my front....

ON MY CROSS STITCH!!!!! (not on me!)

Hey guys - I have the self-portrait cross stitch. I got it several years ago, but I have never started it. Once I started doing scrapbooking (& having kids) I haven't had time for cross stitch. Some day I'll have to start working on it.

Hey, lady, who loaned you money in an elevator??? PM me after you get the PM from Mary!! ;)

Add me to the tz moments. I just finished the castle cross stitch before the cruise and I started the The Happiest Celebration on Earth one. I also bought the Past, present and forever one. Here is a website that I would love to do all the kits on this page http://www.stoneycreek.com/disney.html

I have to put away my Disney kits and work on Christmas stockings for my sister-in-law that just found out she is having twins. :cheer2: I now have to do two stockings. I guess it won't be as hard as all the metalic floss in the castle. :rotfl2:

I just got back from Michael's. Didn't do the pictures that way I had planned.

Castle picture - a silver/gold washed frame - no mat board.

Self Portrait picture - small edge of gold mat board, larger black velvet mat board and a frame - don't remember what it looks like.

DVC Litho - I did a double mat, bottom black, top blue. I did not have the pins placed at the corners like I planned. We spent an hour agreeing/not agreeing to put the pins across the bottom even though they will be put through the litho. The lady stressed that putting them through the paper will cause the litho to lose its value, but I am framing this for us not to sell. So the litho will be put on foam core board and the pins on the bottom (2 on each side of the wording). The mats will be raised so the mat is against the back of the glass and the print and the pins will be lower giving it a shadow box effect. The price was $313 before the 70% discount making it $93.87. I paid extra for the raised mats and I'm guessing it would have been the same price to have the cut outs for the pins.

Now I have to wait 2 weeks to get them back.

Oh I have to have the Past, Present and Forever one. I like the Happiest Celebration on Earth too. Oh, decisions, decisions.

Thanks for the link, I'll have to keep that for future purchases!

Congrats on the soon to be twin nephew/nieces! You are making Disney stockings aren't you?

We are undecided right now. It sure would be fun, but, right now there are too many pots a-boiling!

Right after your kids move out and you give up scrapbooking :rotfl:

Coleen had three done at Michaels. She had the print placed on foam core, then two mats one teal and one sand colored. The frame is a whitewashed light wood. They are going to leave the Ducky signature out and a small cut out for the title. Then the four pins will be offset down into the corners. The gal at Michaels is going to try and incorporate the little cards that the pins were on somehow too. Then she had two prints of DVC resorts. The ones we got as gifts with add ons. those just had simple frames done total around $200.

Question for all you artsy needle workers. Are there many Disney Latch hook kits out there? I have one of M & M in a heart but thats it. Dont want Pooh ones, more like some of the cross stitch ones in that link.

Let me know where to shop if you can .

Thanks
