Yes, but Cindy, you're going to HH, and we're all staying home. You have the much better deal, I think!?!?!?!?

And you're prob. at the first seating right? I have the 8:30PM one. Next time I guess : )

You're right, first seating. It works better for the kids. Maybe when the kids are older and less :bounce: :crazy2:  :bounce:

Darn. All that posting above and I forgot to mention my Walmart find tonight.

Magnetic dry erase magnets. They are the size of the original post it notes (maybe 2x2). Made by Boone and called Rewritables Dry-Erase Magnets. There are 3 to the package along with a dry erase marker. The marker has a a magnet to hang it as well as a cute little eraser on the cap.

I thought these would be perfect for extra reminders for Cameron to check the fish extender.

The package was only $1.88 so I knew I couldn't go wrong.

Your right, Amy. I do have the better deal. :jumping1:

ROFLMBO!! Our boys are the same age!!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I'm going to have to run by WalMart and grab my blinkies AND some Dry-Erase Magnets. Maybe I'll do it under the guise of buying school supplies...

I thought of you earlier and wanted to respond. Your plan is to put notes in the fish extender for Sam as he was going to have limited checkout priviledges. When all that came up this AM with the extenders, I thought, how cute, but what would I do with it. Then I thought of Cameron. :rotfl2:

I had thoughts of Cameron wandering all over the ship trying to find us. Fortunately for us, our room is almost directly above the lab. A quick elevator trip and he should be at our door. With any luck, it will be decorated enough so he can find it. :rolleyes1

Between the fish extender and the magnetic post it notes, hopefully he will SEE the notes we have left for him.

Cindy - i know those little dry erase boards you are talking about. Aren't they cute? I have one in my office. Maybe I should pack it. Thanks for the info on Wal-Mart as well. At least I know if mine doesn't have it I can ask where yours is and run over there on the weekend.

Amy - did you ever see the movie Tiger Cruise? I had never heard of a Tiger Cruise until that movie. Cute idea. That movie is set the week of September 11th. I believe it is a Disney movie.

Hey Cindy! I just realized that our rooms are only about 8 apart...

I never did see the movie, but I heard about it. I had never heard of a Tiger Cruise until last year when my BIL mentioned it to Chris. Turned out that my BIL's own brother didn't want to go, so he offered it to Chris. It ended up being only one month after I had Madison, but it was a great opportunity that we didn't know if it would ever happen again. So, my mom came over to help with the girls (mostly Emily, while I dealt w/the baby) and I sent Chris off to Rhode Island where he got on BIL's ship. Then, they rode into Norfolk and Chris flew home from there. This time he's driving to Jacksonville, then they are going back to Norfolk and Chris will fly back to Jax and pick up his car and drive home. BIL is going on shore duty next year, so it's a good thing that Chris is going this time, because it may be at least 3 yrs before BIL is back on a ship.

ROFL... how could posting on this board be interfering??? Feel free to post away ;)

Since Mary has removed the shirt information from the bottom of the Photo Gallery, I am posting it again for new cruisers so that they can have the information available to them. I have been in touch with most of the new cruisers and their shirts have been ordered. I thought it would have been nice to keep it on the Photo Gallery so that the newcomers would be able to see what the logo looks like. I have had several inquiries about them recently due to the fact that they could not see it clearly, as it is in my signature, the picture being so small.

I have very much enjoyed working on the shirts with everyone and was very pleased and happy to do so, since I did had connections with a company in S.C.

There were a couple of individuals who did not want me to do the shirts and wanted me to step aside and let someone else, and a friend of theirs, take over the shirts through a larger company. That company would have had much inflated prices on the shirts and I felt it not necessary to pay $10 or more for the same shirt comparably.
So I went forward with it after much sole searching. There has sorta been a problem every since. I have absolutely nothing to apologize for to anyone. I believe I have been very nice to each individual involved. If not, I do not have a problem with you discussing it with me at all. We learn from things we do and say each day.

"I believe that all of us are looking forward to some time alone with our family and play time with our friends and the fact of being on vacation from work and the stress that comes with it both mentally and physically are well founded. Trips are definitely a time for everyone to heal."

Life is way too short not to enjoy each day. I know well, as I was on life support for 7 months last year and very seirously ill. I am now recovering and doing quite well but stil have a long way to go. So the shirts I have tried to get for everyone has helped me do something constructive. I have done the best that I could and very much enjoyed the interaction with everyone. SO...........................

SHIRT INFORMATION

The shirt is 100% cotton Hanes - tagless in the neck. They wash very good.
It is not a transfer on the shirts, the emblem is SILK SCREENED right into the shirt and after many wears and washes, it will not crack and peel off.

Cost of each shirt:

(rounded off to dollar amount so there is no nickel involved)
$10.00 adult

$13.00 XXX Large

$ 5.65 shipping for one/two shirts

$ 7.25 shipping for more than two shirt
(shipping will be with "delivery confirmation)

You can pay for your shirts using Pay Pal (let me know if you want to pay using Pay Pal - since they charge me for receiving money thru them [2.9% +$.30) – that portion will have to be added and I can tell you what that will be on the amount paid - a small percentage - anywhere from $1. to $1.80) (through account ONLY -no credit card payments accepted due to higher % rate we have to pay. If you want to pay with Pay Pal, you can do so by paying to the name of:
Harrywillima@bellsouth.net

I have also ordered extra shirts, so that if someone wants a shirt that is not on the list, hopefully I will have the right size. The only extra sizes I probably will not have are child and youth sizes. We will not have any extra children sizes unless they have been ordered already.

If you want to send a check my address is below. This is better than sending a PM to each family individually.

Good morning everyone!

Kay, the only thing that was on the photo page was the orignal hand-drawn design by JohnVN (which is a great design John & Kathy - thanks).

Since that design was the only one we went with and since I had thought based on your posts that shirt production was over I didn't see the need to keep the design up any longer.

Sorry if this caused confusion for anyone. Just wanted to make more space for all the great cruiser photos we were getting.

Speaking of which - Fred I'm going to put your picture up now.

As promised - we have a photo gallery update.

Fred (aka Grumpy-1) and his wife Mary Ann are our 47th entry into the photo gallery. This group just keeps getting better looking!

Welcome Fred & Mary Ann! BTW - for those who don't know they are going on the cruise with Stitch#1 who is daughter Stacey and SIL Jeff. Just one of a number of families who will have 3 generations on the Member Cruise - very cool!

Found something out about the night of the Bon Voyage party. As many of you know Mark and I were planning on going to the Irish Pub after the party. I say were because I've heard that the opening of the pub is most likely pushing back to mid or late September (after the party). As Mark and I love Irish Music we are a little disappointed, but hey it just gives us a reason to come back! :) I know at least one other person was talking about going to the pub so I thought I'd give you a heads up.

Our new plan is to attend one of the shows at Comedy Warehouse. I've always wanted to see one. Then we may call it a night since we'll have driven for 10 plus hours the day before. Don't want to be so tired that we don't enjoy the cruise. ;)

So I go to sleep for a few hours and have 3 pages to catch up with!!

I'm really glad we've all managed to give Walmart so much business tonight!

Yes, we are the early dinner with Amy. We figured we'd like to keep our DIS friends and not subject them to our children while eating! Anyone who wants to sit with 4 kids under 4 is more than welcome to join us! :faint:

Mary--you always have all this inside info! In my head I'm picturing a "batphone" in your house, with a direct line to DVC! The phone rings, you pick it up, you give them the secret password and they give you info! Hey, my life doesn't get much more exciting than fish extenders and blinkie flip flops these days!!

OK--I have to take Julia for her 9 month doctors appointment this morning.....try not to post too much while I'm gone!

Diana - I'm not a late night person so I'm hitting WalMart when they open at 7am!

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Sounds so James Bond! I asked a friend who lives down there if he had been in the pub yet and could he give a review. I thought it had already opened. He came back that the last time he was at Pleasure Island he had heard that the opening was going to be pushed back. Like with all things Disney they want to make sure it is perfect in every detail before opening and I can see where that will cause delays. As I said - we'll just have to plan a trip back for early next year.

Hmmm, is this good or bad news?

For Sam & Cameron, it might be good. They can wander the hallways together looking for someone who looks familiar. Maybe I should have Cameron study Mary's photo gallery so the faces of us DIS'er look familiar to him. That way, when he's wandering around, he'll at least be able to approach someone who he recognizes.

Seriously, if I didn't think Cameron could handle it, I would not give him the checkout priviledges. And, I could change my mind at any time. But, my Mommy instincts will feel better being double protected. After all, someone might try to swipe my fish extender!! :scared1:

I noticed that Gail's room is right around there too. :teeth: Now that I looked at the photo gallery, Gail I remember you from Member Homecoming. How bad is that for me to realize that so late in this thread? :confused3

Speaking of the photo gallery, Lisa, why don't I see you and family there? :confused3 Trying to hide behind your computer? We will find you, you know that don't you? :rotfl:

Team work, I like that. :cool1:

Cindy - another reason we suggest that people wear their buttons when out and about. It is a great way to spot other DIS'ers. On the 10 day cruise many of the parents were happy to let their kids do things with other DIS'ers.

For example when we were in St. Martin and taking the water taxi back to the main dock we met up with fellow DIS'ers who were our tablemates. They still wanted to do some shopping in the dock area but thier 12 year old daughter wanted to go back to the ship. We offered to have her walk back with us and they were thrilled. She had sign in/sign out at the club - they just didn't want her walking back to the ship by herself.

Another time one of the girls wanted to do the gingerbread decorating they offered. Her parents weren't into that as they was something else going on they wanted to do, but 3 other DIS members did and they signed up as the DIS family.

So wear those buttons and say hi to your fellow DIS'ers when you see them!

Oh Cindy how could you not remember, we kept bumping into each other at the food tasting party! Oh the memories of all that food and such little time! :hyper:

Sitting at a table with 4 under 4 could be a great experience. On our last cruise my niece, her dh and their 4 yo & 14 mo were at our table. It really was alot of fun (mainly because they weren't mine to take care of). Our servers were great with them and brought them anything they wanted. It made me wonder how in the world I was able to handle 4 kids of my own.

My day to drive the girls to soccer camp - gotta :moped:

Not that I didn't remember you, I just didn't realize you were who you are. :flower:

I heard a lot of people complaining about the taste party. BUT, Cameron very frequently asks me to do that again. Every time I ask him where he would like to have dinner at WDW, this comes up. I explain to him over and over that it was a one time thing. Cameron thinks it is just a restaurant where you go to dine. :scratchin It is a very fond memory and one we talk about a lot. It was awesome!
