Sept. 2009 @ WDW! Be a Pop Tart 2009~come share your(Bounce Back or NOT)Dates !!!

FYI, if anyone needs refrigeration for a medical reason they can get an in room fridge for free.

I did not know that for several years and then one time I asked for a room near the ice machine so I could keep my meds cold and they told me this and I have been doing it ever since, when I have meds that is.

Also some folks have found that they can hit WM when they get down there, if they are renting a car anyway, and it is cheaper to just buy a small fridge, stroller, or whatever and then pass it on to someone else or leave it.

I have have often wondered what happens to those things that are left behind, including the refillable cups. Do you think they wash them up and resell them? :confused3 I usually pass mine on to an incoming family.

Betting that there will be more than the usual amount of in park picnics this year and possibly next.

Hello, I was wondering how large the fridge was? I will be bringing some medicine that needs to be kept cold but we also have an infant and i will need to keep the pumped breast milk cold. We were just told that the fridge was small - only large enough to hold the medicine?? Now I am getting scared becasue it is too late to get in on a fridge swap for Aug. 15-29th. ANY IDEAS???

I just saw a small fridge at Walmart for $45 or so dollars yesterday. You could take it on the plane for an extra $15 or so, whatever your airline charges for extra luggage, and it would cost less than renting. You could buy a packable cooler and fill it with ice daily for the milk. From what I have read, not experienced, Disney has different sized fridges so you may end up with one that is a bit bigger if you want to take the chance.

Hello to everyone!!!

The TODAY show (the part with Kathie Lee & Hodi) will be broadcasting from the San Antonio Riverwalk on Wednesday 7/29
mexican.gif

Watching it right now...too bad it's Kathie Lee...cannot stand that woman!!

The question is...are you there, DK???

/
I don't blame you Kris.

Actually after watching clips from The Soup, both of these women get on my nerves, but thought I might still watch.

Had a nice dinner at Outback, but wasn't feeling well before we left and afterwards I just wanted to go to sleep. Jonas wanted to watch Watchmen, so we did that. I did fall asleep for about 15 minutes during it. It was a good movie though.

Oooh, they just showed a Margarita and Mexican food on the Today show. I'm hungry!

tjbjrjaj, the fridge is dorm sized with a tiny freezer area. They do not want to encourage folks to bring lots of food etc. I think. BTW, that reminds me. On The View yesterday they had a rolling cooler that you could sit on and ride. The smaller version would go a max of 10 miles. Can you not picture DW with everyone on one of those? :rotfl:

JM, did you have Alice Springs Chicken? I love that! I used to make custard for my sickly children but I am guessing that would not be so good for a dog though. Maybe she is just being delicate in her recovery and a bit picky with her food. I know nothing at all about dogs though. Did the repairman dress nicely for you too? Funny thing is my husband never wanted me to work outside the home because he thought that made a woman more prone to dalliances (as if he would know the meaning of that word). My take is that stay at home women have more time and more alone time with repairmen etc. :rotfl2: Where there is a will, there is a way, no matter who you are.

M&N, I can imagine how hard it is for you right now, there are many in such shape nowadays so you are just one in a very large crowd. Normal rules no longer seem to apply. I hope it was 30 seconds and out and on to the rest of your life. :woohoo:

The only worse than having to watch Kathie Lee has to be BEING Kathy Lee. She is just a very insecure person and thus uncomfortable to be around. I do not think her evil though.

Trimming bushes today. I did get around to them the other day. Have my youngest grandson hiding out her in the evenings while his church is having VBS. He is too old and cool for such nowadays and besides his dad had him pulling wagons of small children and he was huffing and puffing by the time he made it here last night. We played Smarter than a 5th Grader, neither one of us is. Millionaire is easier. I think it is because so much of the stuff they taught me in 5th grade has never been useful and I done forgot it and do not care!

The young lady did not play in my house but we sure do have a lot of other connections. There is a chance she might have seen me when she was in kindergarten as I volunteered at the school back then too.

SG, no he didn't dress nicely, but he still looked good. :lmao: Booger showed up early, so I didn't even have makeup on, surprised he didn't :scared1: and run away.:rotfl2:

Jonas likes the sales person for our builder, so when he makes a comment about her I always reply, "What can I have Mike look at?" It is just an ongoing joke with us.

I've seen several affairs start in the work place. Actually worked at Penney's and learned everyone was messing around with everyone else. This wasn't the college age people, but the adults in their 40's and over. Even met and worked with the store managers girlfriend, but never his wife. He even introduced me to her. Crazy world.

M&N, hope it did go smoothy yesterday.

I always get the Filet at Outback. And I love their salad and every time I would literally clean the bowl, but they always come and grab it when they bring my steak. I know, there might be some cheese and a little lettuce left, but wish they would ask first. Am I the only person in the world that likes my salad that much.

JM, I like a simple and uncomplicated life myself. Never saw anyone who could not find a reason/opportunity to mess around if they really wanted to. I figure why trade one mess for another and if a person is willing to cheat on their partner or with someone they know is hitched they would do so to the next person as well. I carefully explained to Tom that I believed it was easier,as well as cheaper, to shoot ONE husband once than to shoot a different woman every week so things are nice and boring round here. Our only bow to an open marriage is that if Harrison Ford or Ann Margaret show up we would not expect the other NOT to run away with them.:rotfl: Looking is fun though. :woohoo:

That relives me fears.

Ummm, tjbjrjaj, do you happen to be Irish? :rotfl2: Sounds like something I would say.

Ang I am wondering if you read this quickly if you will think the same thing as I did. Reply via PM cause there are some innocent people on here and I do not want to corrupt them. :rotfl:

Timmy, Timmy, Timmy you and I will always be tarts won't we. lol

tjbjrjaj, I was just a joshing you. I am mostly English and German as well. Have gotten far from my English Lit roots and have taken up bad habits myself. :rotfl:

Ants, I would love to be a tart as well but I done run out of ammunition. When I had it I had no experience. All I get now is old guys who want someone younger to take care of them and I already have one. :rotfl:

Going to make a Blackberry Cobbler for a certain young man who will be here shortly. He do like his food.

Timmie, how does it happen that a person with dyslexia can spell the word correctly? Just wondering. :rotfl:

Whenever I need a good laugh, I always know I can POP in here for one! Get it, "POP?" Oh well, it's not as funny as Timmy's dylexia but then, what is? ;)

Ants--you haven't been eating any pop tarts lately--I've been watching! :magnify:

S/G--"Horns holding up my halo." Good one! I can't imagine "wandering," either--why would I want another one to take care of??? My grandma once asked one of the widows in her building if she would ever get married again, and she replied "Heck, no! I'm tired of washing farts out of old men's shorts!" Only she didn't say heck. Glad you got to see some pics of the grandkids at least, and good job saving money on cable! That's more $ for Disney (but then, you already know that).

DivaK--Yeah, I'd stay inside my house, too, if I knew Kathie Lee was going to be in town! :scared1:

Cheryl--Donald's boat/water park--too funny. My kids had more fun with that thing last trip--we must have stayed there for 45 minutes. For those that have never tried it, if you plug up the leak, the leaky spot moves--many times--until finally it gets you right in the gut. You need at least 4 hands, and some need to be taller, but it's a hoot.

JM--Sorry to hear you got sick on your anniversary. Hope you feel better soon, or at least before the next time the repair guy comes back, lol. For the record, anyone who touches my salad before I've eaten the last scrap of lettuce is liable to lose a finger. But then I'm a vegetarian who's been dieting so that last bite is unusually valuable to me!

M&N--Hope it all went quickly and painlessly, and can become the distant past ASAP. And that it all comes together for a Disney trip for you--you deserve it!

Poohbear--Sorry the surgery was rescheduled, but if you get a Disney trip out of it, I'm sure it's for the best!

Ang--Sorry to hear about your nephews' situation. I hope they're able to come to some kind of resolution quickly and without a bunch of legel hassles. Of course, now that the state is involved, who knows how long it will take. A bit of a hijack, but I've been spending a lot of time on the phone with state and federal agencies lately (all related to dh's layoff), and it's driving me nuts. When I'm on hold, they keep playing a message about "if you or someone you love has a problem with drugs or alcohol. . ." and I'm about to tell them that I didn't when I started this process, but if I have to make many more of these phone calls I probably will!

We're headed to Crater Lake National Park for the weekend: http://www.nps.gov/crla/

We'll be staying at the Crater Lake Lodge: http://www.craterlakelodges.com/crater-lake-lodge-1842.html

Hey, if you can't be at Disney, might as well be at a real lodge based on the Disney replica. Or was that the other way around?

:rotfl:I can remember my Grandma saying this, ok not this way :rotfl2:, but then at 84 she married a 93 year old man. They were so cute.

We had never made it over there, I'll have to try it now.

That would make me drink or want some drugs also. I hate those little recordings because there is always a pause before the message comes on and I get all excited that I will be speaking to someone.

Beautiful area! Hope you have a fantastic time!

Well, feel a little better, already took the allergy pill so hopefully I am on my way to feeling better. Folks will be here tomorrow. Hope you all have a great day.

T-bird Thanks but its all good just hope I can keep up with wic and her family and don't hold them back. I think I would rather have the surgery in the fall to winter anyways its cold and I don't like the cold, I plum hate it.
