Sept. 2009 @ WDW! Be a Pop Tart 2009~come share your(Bounce Back or NOT)Dates !!!

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!! DS is on spring break this week, Yeah!!! It's raining here so we are off to visit a friend of mine from grade school in a little bit here so the boys can play today. I just wanted to drop in and say hello.

Ok, remember how my DS was having such a hard time turning in his homework and kept getting F's for every late paper. Well Friday he brings home his report card and the lucky kid just got himself on the honor roll. I keep telling him he has a horse shoe up his butt because he keeps doing this. He starts the semester not caring or trying and then the last few weeks, when he is shown how low his grades are, he tries his hardest and turns in everything on time getting all A's. I don't know what to do with the kid. All those weeks without his Wii for turning in late work and then he does great at the end. I guess the thought of spending spring break without games motivated him. He is enjoying himself playing his game right now.

Well have a happy Tuesday everyone.

Jasper today ( he was born 11/2008)

Cheryl,
I have to say again your dog is way too cute.

Angela

Yeah he is a cutie and he is very obedient, quiet. He is still in the nipping stage. He is a great jumper and loves to retrieve as well.

He's going to the groomer tomorrow so more pictures soon.

Hi everyone.

That is great news about Will's report card. Jacob came home with about the same report card as last 9 weeks, but no "f's", so guess that is good. Trying to do some research on homeschooling. I am leaning more and more towards that.

Thanks to everyone on the compliments for the table. DH hasn's seen it. I did tell him I am doing it and I can tell he thinks it is going to be horrible and he will have to spend his money on a new one.:laughing:I think he will like it. Actually thinking of restaining a chest of drawers he did before we got married. That will be a big one to tackle though.

Since I have my table back I have been scrapbooking and thinking of making some jewelry. I am always looking at Target and places and can't find what I want. Wrong colors or wrong lengths. JoAnn Fabrics has their beads 40% this week, so thinking of stopping there on the way to TL. Yes, it is open and I hope to head that way this weekend.

Oh, and Diva K, the concert sounded fantastic. We want to go see Def Leppard, Poison, and Cheap Trick this Summer, but don't know what to do with Jacob. Thought about taking him, but he may be too young.

Hope everyone has a fantastic Tuesday!

DM left this morning...no tears, her and Dad are coming for Easter.

Diva Mary got a Mickey Mom's Club (Disney Mom's Panel Rejects) magnet in the mail last week ...I haven't gotten anything yet :headache:

mellisa !!! I love making jewelry... do you have Michael's in your area ?? I think they have better quality and when you really really get into int.. you are better off ordering onkline they are much cheaper... It was Disney who got me into jewelry making.. I love buying anklets and they can cause to much so I started making my own... now I just go through magazines and sometimes at the mall and if I want something (like stuff from swarovski stores) and I sorta kinda make it...

I was discussing this with Ang... I want a Pug but it is not fair for the dog the way my schedule at work...

 about mom leaving...

But atleast Dad is coming over for Easter... Whats for Dinner??

Easter just planning to go to China Town with friends at work...

Ang, please tell Will congratulations from me AND remind him that if he does his work right from the start he will not have to suffer so much. My grandson does this backward, he starts out alright and then falters. I am trying to make a worker out of him. Hopefully he will marry a girl who can read, write and do math. :lovestruc

Timmie made me some jewelry. Lucky me. Lucy took the earrings as she has pierced ears. :thumbsup2

Diva K, there might have been tears she just waited until you were not looking. That is what us parents do. :flower3: What are you serving for Easter dinner? I used to do all the occasions, but no more.

JM, once your husband sees what you did he is going to expect you to do more. I bet that table tickles you more than any other piece of furniture you have. It is uniquely YOURS!:worship:

Third week in a row I have had a loss. I am almost back to where I was before Christmas. New pounds, I long for new pounds. Lucy is doing well also. She has some new meds and seems to be feeling better. I hope it continues.

Had lunch with some friends. I have been craving French Onion Soup. Not really on my diet plan but that is all I ate so hopefully it did not do much damage. I seldom get to have lunch with folks but Tom was hankering for some of them Rally's Prime Rib sandwiches. We know that it is just a cheap burger with a slice of roast beef but the man is impressed with fancy titles. I used to give the leftovers a French name. It worked. :dance3:

Hope you all had a great day as well, Linda/SG

I have been lucky enough to receive one of Timmy's designs! :cloud9:

DM and I planned Easter dinner before she left (so I could have it all bought when they get here!)
Ham, some sort of potato (scalloped?) broccoli salad, baked pineapple, corn casserole (my DS favorite, he will make it!)
and I want to make one of those bunny cakes (with coconut fur and licorice whiskers) we made when I was a kid for dessert!

Well.. summer is around the corner and need to replenish those anklets to match outfits for WDW... (:guilty:I know I did promise some stuff will be ready for someones next trip but hopefully it will I have a couple of months :p to do it) if interested all I need is the circumference of your ankles and wrist... and maybe we can figure something out :goodvibes

the past weekends that I was off my time was confined in making a WDW tote :confused3 dont ask me why... it just happens...

Ohhh a bunny cake... I made a football cake one time for godsons bday and so far it did work and was edible... :yay:

Cheryl: that pup is a cutie patootie! Where are the newly groomed pics? And is he proud of how he looks when newly groomed, or embarrassed by the buzzcut?

S/G: If only we could buy more memory, lol! My kids would have a much shorter list of my transgressions for the therapists they're sure to need one day. Glad to hear Lucy is doing well, and congrats on your loss as well. I hit 15 pounds a week or so ago, which is where I was hoping to be before blowing it all when we go to WDW in 3 days. LOL about your "french" leftovers--I'll have to give that a try--and Costco has a vegetarian french onion soup that I think is fairly low in carbs. It's bizarre--a frozen lump that you bake for an hour and it tastes :cloud9:. Hmm, sounds pretty good right about now!

Timmy:  We're finally "friends!" As if waiting in that TOT line (it was so hot that day :cool2:) and riding that dang thiing last year didn't already cement the deal! We leave in 3 days and all ds can talk about is TOT! Dd was even griping to her friends on the phone the other day that it's her least favorite ride (she's :scared:). We may have to send her and dh to RnRC so ds and I could ride until he's ! Yes, the boards were impossibly slow yesterday; hence, my lack of posting. And if you think I'm going to give you the circumference of any of my body parts, you are sadly mistaken!

DivaK: Glad you had fun at EJ/BJ--sounds like an amazing show! Sorry DM had to leave (how was South Padre Island, btw?), but goodbyes are always easier when you know you'll be together again soon.

Poohbear: Glad to hear you're doing better and on the mend. You gave us all a bit of a scare after your surgery--no more surgeries for you!

Ang: :cheer2: for ds and his grades! I'm not sure my ds would survive a banishment from his Wii, or ds for that matter. Luckily, in k-garten, he doesn't have enough homework to require such drastic measures, lol. I finally understand the parental phrase "this hurts me more than it hurts you!"

JM: Loving that table--care to come to WA state and refinish a few pieces of my furniture? Have fun with the jewelry--I dabbled a bit years ago with a girlfriend who was really into it, but sadly didn't keep it up.

Wic: How goes the wonderful world of unemployment? Any prospects yet, or have you decided on school? Dh just got his formal notice yesterday. We've known it was coming for a while, and he could still find something else within the company, but he's not sure he wants to. And so we start on a new adventure. Fortunately, he still wants to go to WDW, so Friday morning, we're outta here! :cool1:

You all know the free dining rumors, right? Expected dates August 15-September 30; booking might begin for Disney VISA holders on Thursday, 3/26 and the general public on Monday, March 30. The front end would cover most of us with kids in school, and the back end will easily overlap the beginning of the F&WF. Just an FYI for my favorite peeps!

maybe if you call my name really loud on the 1st drop I might hear yah!!! pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...LOL:crazy:

Timmie, while I may not be able to wear much jewelry because of my metal allergy I do love bracelets and such. Even after losing all this weight I still can barely find a bracelet that will go over my wrist. I guess I really am big boned. :rotfl:

Diva K, I miss my bunny cake days. I used to make one every Easter. Now that it is just Tom and I and neither one of us is supposed to eat such things I just daydream. Enjoy them while you may! If you need any ideas for cakes for other occasions please let me know. The last cake I made was for my youngest grandson who wanted a guitar cake. Nothing like a late night dash to Cracker Barrel to get those skinny licorice whips. What we do not do for love. Your cake is delightful. What flavor?

cherylp3, your fur baby is so cute that it even makes, dogaphobic, me go Awwwww!:lovestruc I hope I come back, in the next life, as a pet to someone like you.

TB, congratulations on the weight loss. I know how hard it is. Losing it is the easy part, keeping it off is the hardest. I find myself daydreaming about my December trip to DW as I have figured out that I can do my last weigh in before I leave and not weigh in again until the first of the year. That is a sure way to gain back every ounce I will have managed to lose the rest of the year though. I know, I nearly did that this past year. I can buy memory, it is finding the correct slot to insert it in that is the problem. :lmao: Enjoy your trip, your problems will still be there when you get back and by then you may have figured out a way out of them. At least you will be in a better frame of mind to deal.

I have to reload my Tracfone today, mop the kitchen floor, make dvd's and write a dozen or so letters and cards to folks before I go to the CC. I worn out already. ;)

SG

Ms SG, I'm worn out just reading all you have planned to do today! Bless your heart!

Timmy, I fell asleep last early night, but looks like you had lots of company - my email was filled with posts from another thread.

What a cute Bunny cake, Kris! Is there a recipe floating around out there that you could share?

Hope everyone has a great Wednesday!

Thanks for the advice Timmy! I checked out JoAnn's since they have a big sale right now. I wore the one of the items I have been trying to find jewelry for and picked out some beads. I have to wait until Saturday though when the Visa card rolls over. So I have everything picked out. Can hit the store at 9am, buy my stuff. They have scrapbook paper on sale also so I can pick some of it up and then we are off to TL. The closest Michaels isn't very big, but I will check them out.

This thread has been busy!

TB, sorry to hear about DH's job. Glad you still get to go to WDW. I have another Dis friend that is arriving at the World Friday also.

Well, my poor DH was suppose to be coming home on the 5th, but he may end up staying in DC a little longer.:sad2:We are just waiting to find out.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Cheryl,
Can't wait for more pics. You reminded me that my girls need a bath and my shih tzu needs me to groom her too.

M&N, Melissa, TB, and SG,
Thanks for the congratulations for Will. I told him my Disney friends are all proud of him.

I also told him what you said, Linda, about doing better from the start so he doesn't have as much work to do at the end. His response: Are we going to see her again when we go to Disney? I know you want to come down to Florida before December. We can always kidnap you on our drive down in June.

Melissa,
Will didn't really start becoming independent doing homework or start getting good grades till 7th grade so there is hope for Jacob in the future. I think it might be because it starts becoming more review of what they learned in elementary school.

That table looks so much better in black. It gives it a rich look.

Where is your husband these days?

Kristin,
Did you get your magnet yet? I got mine a couple weeks ago so I am sure yours is on the way. Love the cake by the way.

TB,
Your DS's in Kindergarten, huh. Just wait. lol

Glad to hear that you lost weight good for you. I need to do the same because I always gain at WDW. You have a wonderful time on your trip by the way. Ride TOT a few times for me.

Thanks for the free dining info. I was lucky and got bounce back last year and I am glad I did because the dates were better. Are you going and if so when?

Oops posted too soon.

Timmy,
I am waiting patiently for the anklet you promised. You do great work on your jewlery.

I can just picture how you would torture that poor pug. lol Pictures every day posted to the internet. You and the dog heads crooked looking like twins. You know they say we begin to look like our animals don't you.

I have to check out the other tread and post a pole pic if I can get it to size. I sent you a copy you could post it too. That really was way too funny and one memory I won't forget anytime soon.

You are going to love Twilight and be a twilightaholic just like me. Will made me buy the audio book of Twilight today for our drive down to Disney. I only gave in because I had a 40% off coupon for Borders. I could have tortured him and had him read it to me the entire drive. lol

Hope everyone had a wonderful Wednesday and has a just as lovely Thursday.

Ang
