Sept. 2009 @ WDW! Be a Pop Tart 2009~come share your(Bounce Back or NOT)Dates !!!

OMG you too!!! well right this down woman.. memorize it... live by it :lmao: seventies bldg... room 6350 to 6360 (3rd floor) and 6450 to 6460 (4th floor) Ok I normally dont share my mantra but you being a Pop Tart!!! YOU are FAMILY!!!! Reb a goodm friend is rigght now at one fot hose rooms... I hope she is enjoying my room hahahahahah

Well, since we are all POP Tarts and Family, I thank you and will share my fav POP rooms as well (question is, will we have enough courage to try the other location?? LOL). Tramp 3 has a nice lake view too. :)

50's building 3 (Tramp) rooms 3433,34,35 and 36 for sure and possibly 32. Trees are an issue in the rooms closer to the inside corner of the bldg. From 35 & 36 we watched Wishes and IllumiNations simultaneously. Pretty cool. ::yes::

In bldg 2, Jukebox 50's section rms 2456, 57, 58, 59 and 60 (although trees are getting pretty tall in front of 56,57,58 rooms).

Also by stepping outside the room and looking to the right: 3413 thru 3424 (closest 3413,14, 15 and 16).

Now, I plan to remember those CM names.

In August I had an unexpected stay at POP due to Tropical Storm Fay(moved over from SSR - so sorry SSR fans, will never stay there again - didn't feel like I was even in WDW) - special needs had blocked a room at POP, but it was in the back on the first floor. I asked the front desk if they might find me a room closer to things on the 4th floor and would happily any difference in cost (explaining it was my first time alone at Disney).

The darling CM conferred with a supervisor and moved me to 60's pref pool view, 4th fl. WOW! Great location for being in the heart of things...but missed the lake view and of course, no IllumiNations. It was fun to be so close to the food court.

As for a solo trip - 3 days was enough for me. Think I need to know I'll at least meet up with someone for a Meet for dining a few times. Did not go to a park -wanted to save what was left of my tkt , add a few days and upgrade to a nonexpiring. No AP this year! :(

Oh, goodness, am I babbling again??:upsidedow

1st.. it was the 1st resort I ever stayed on property that brings so much good memories...

2nd I do CR when I really just want to relax.. hide from the world and sit by the balcony looking at the castle... which I did plenty last November :lmao:

3rd... that is the only time I dont rent a car... I just do monorail to MK and EPCOT... but thats all I will do.. hop the monorail.. go to other resort or the 3 parks... and I think I will be doing the same with BW... the only means of transportation of Disney I have no anxiety attack using is the monorail and the ferry :confused3 :lmao: :ssst: Yes.. I have never been on a disney bus but one time... when they 1st offered ME :faint:

"looking at notes" Oh My those are alot of rooms!!!! Yes agrees with the 50's!!!:thumbsup2

I am so sorry about SSR... I love the congress bldg though... when they place you in the middle of the bldg 4th floor.. also love that Congress bldg have a nice bbq location by the pool with DTD as your outlook view... yes not alot of theming... but very peaceful and quiet!!!

We are sold are Pop too! :thumbsup2
While we LOVE WL we can't justify the price and when we stayed there it shared a bus with The Fort :sad2:
I'd love to try other resorts to see what they are like but just don't see it happening...would like to try @Contemporary so we could walk to MK (don't particularly like the theme though) or a Boardwalk resort for easy access to EPCOT!)

Kristene,YES!! I am torn between Poly and GF - if money were no object, I'd alternate between GF & Poly lagoon view. :thumbsup2

Since money is a huge "object" it comes down to POP - although I do enjoy FQ - the ambiance there is so relaxing, but those masks I can live without!

Great stay at BWV (missed having a food court), BC nice, Dolphin as great too, but had an incredible view. POR perfect room location.

Timmy, 10 stays at POP!! Good for you - but wait, did I read that correctly...you never take a Disney bus??? Ohh, Timmy, the buses are half the fun!;) Keeps one feeling in the loop with the putside world left behind. ::yes::

Sorry about all the room #'s. lol

Maybe I would like Congress with a lake view and DTD. Sounds nice :)

Trying to think which section I was in...it right next to the pool with the red/white stripes and horse...not too far from check-in. The room was gorgeous - upgraded to a one bedroom, no complaints about that!

Ohh....if only, if only...CRV...now if I had the big bucks it's the one and only DVC I'd like to own.

Our very frist WDW stay in '81 was in the old North Wing (darn those Disney planners), then it was the Tower every CR stay after that...soo how do I go back to a wing...I digress (as usual)...

My dad was Navy so we traveled growing up too - but all over the US, I spent the late '80's and early '90's visiting all the places I;'d dreamed of in Europe.

Now what else was I going to write???:confused3

you were by the Grandstand Area!!! The newest addition to SSR .. now I am looking forward to be able to get a treehouse.. but it is a 3 bedroom villa and I am the only one :confused3 :sad1: so might not be able to fanagle a way to be there...

I dont have big bucks.. the money i used to get dvc was my shoe money... from 91 to around 2000 ( when i moved to my present address) every week I take $20 for my allowance... and since I pak my lunch to work by the end of each week I might have use only a dollar or two or maybe not even with my allowance and throw the change in a shoe box under my bed( learn this from my chinese grandmother who never believed in banks :lmao: ) well when I moved ... took the box and placed it back under the bed... and finally one morning decided to dust under the ebd and got curious on how much money I save in my box.. well!!! it was a good amount and since I spend on none sense.. I finally place the $$$ to good use!!! I got me a dvc share... did not pay the whole $15,000 base share but enough to get me in and able to finance in a good rate for a short period of time !!!:woohoo:

We've talked about joining DVC...were very close to biting the bullet in 2003 but then we moved to Texas and we got distracted...

WOW, Timmy, that is fantastic!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE that idea! I'm going borrow it, if you don't mind. :)

Just got a shoebox out of the closest, threw in the 2 singles from my wallet (I hate banks too)...ta da...a Disney savings plan :dance3: Maybe for yearly trip $$ for a nice deluxe stay :) Then a short stay at POP in between. YES!!!!

Thank your grandmother for me, Timmy!! (and you too ::yes::).:thumbsup2

When my parents passed (unexpectedly) they left us a little something and it would have been enough to buy some DVC points - at the time I was in the World and checked out what was available, but they were only selling SSR and have never liked that resort - who knows why - it's lovely, but guess I am spoiled by being in the heart of the action. So, did not buy into DVC back n 2002 - also the yrly member fee and isn't there a mo fee as well? Anyway, all I could think of was all that money could pay for a nice deluxe stay once a yr....sigh...so the money went to travel in Europe - wonderful trips. :) Then a big move, job loss etc, etc... ;)
