I know my DH is looking at
RCCL. He figures if we don't leave from FLA our chances of having to go to WDW will be none. I'm tyring to be optimistic about looking at RCCL, but I keep finding the bad stories. As you guys can guess, my heart is set on
DCL. My DH asked me if I'd be interested in looking at the DVC club. So, another vacation option opened. Yahooo! We'll see.
Leonor, I guess if your DH does take this other position he'd definately have to weigh how important is spending time w/ you and Katrina ooops I mean Krystina. Are you guys tight? Could DH handle being away from his princess and you for so long? Yes, money is a great motivator,but like you posted, at what cost is it to loose the tightness and time w/ family. My DH is adiment about only having 40hrs. b/c he loves being w/ the kids and me. He's in IT (information technology) and it can be a very time draining field. But, my DH is very happy where he is, not being in a mgmnt. position where his work would pull him away from us. You know, if your DH decides to take the job, you could move (I know you said you didn't want to) in the middle of the two markets so his commute time would be half. Any way you look at it, its a tough decision. Stand by your man and be supportive either way. I know you already are supportive.
Well, I've been avoiding going out and mowing the lawn long enough. I gotta go. Hi ho hi ho, off to mow the lawn I go.
P.S. My neighbors just returned from WDW. I'll be prodding them about details and asking them to share their pics for sure!
Just the other day I got a new Sam's Club Travel brochure (that's who we booked with last time) in the mail and I left it front & center on the coffee table for DH to see. He picked it up and said "You know I work too hard to just give Mickey Mouse all of my $$$." Needless to say I have not brought up the Mickey boat again. I have been looking at other cruiselines out of Galveston since we wouldn't have to fly (short 5-6 hour drive from here), but haven't managed to convince him of that either. Who knows. He got offered another job (with the same company) with lots more responsibility (and more $, of course), but he would be away (in San Antonio, unless we BOTH chose to move~don't really want to do that) for a week at a time atleast every other week (one week here, one week there, etc) since he would be managing both the San Antonio AND McAllen areas. I don't know exactly how I feel about that right now. More money is always good, but at what price???????????? Just wondering what y'alls take on that is?
