Sandra, I am so excited to see YOU posting:cheer2: I am typing with my drink sitting next to me on a Mickey coaster:)

Hadley,

Thanks for helping me "break the ice". This is all new for me & I am kind of shy. Sandi helped with the registration so I could start meeting people. Glad to hear you are using the coaster. :)

 I went to the Dentist today for a cleaning and he noticed I have a crack :headache: in one of my back teeth. OK it's a little sensitive, but jeeze, I hate dental work!

Oh no!!!!! That stinks! What is he going to do?

The pain from the extraction is going away, but the stitches are bugging me!!!! Does anybody know how long it will take for the stitches to start to fall out?

Hi, another two crew members signing on. :thumbsup2 Myself, epcot1stfave ( Michael ) and DW hotfudgesundae, ( Patricia ). We have been on a 3 night cruise this year and enjoyed it so much we decided to book this when it opened, so we have been onboard since day 1, just that we are more of a lurker than most. Been keeping up with all the posts though. :surfweb:
Tried to get the logo into siggy but it comes up at the beginning and wipes out the ticker, will have to keep trying I guess. Anyway plenty of time to get it right. :rolleyes1

WELCOME Michael & Patricia nice to have you joining in.
Now that you've posted you cant just lurk any longer, we expect you to join in and get aquainted :goodvibes

If they are disolving stitches, mine took about 10 days to start to disolve. The last one was at the 14 day mark.

I have 3 teeth that are cracked because I clench my teeth when I sleep. I will have to get crowns when I decide to do something about it. I'm not looking forward to it.

OMG, if they take that long, I'm going to go crazy! They are bugging the heck out of me already!!!!

I know how you feel, 2 of mine never did dissolve and the dentist had to remove them. Hopefully yours will dissovle quicker than mine. But even regular stitches they wont remove until 7 to 10 days for it to heal, the mouth is the same way.

:) Hi - I am new and booked on the 2010 WB and I am Hoagie Pie's MIL. Are there any other seniors booked on this cruise? I am looking forward to meeting you all.:)

Hello, Sandra! Welcome to the family! I know you don't need to be told this, but your DDIL is one amazing woman! I'm so glad we'll get to meet you!!

Hi, another two crew members signing on. :thumbsup2 Myself, epcot1stfave ( Michael ) and DW hotfudgesundae, ( Patricia )....

Come out and play more often! Glad to have you peek your head out! Patricia, I LOVE your screen name!

Welcome Michael, Patricia, and Sandra.

(And Sandra, if you count a senior citizen as someone who has grandchildren, we fit in. Now mentally, we're probably about 8 :rotfl: 'cause we'd rather go see a Disney movie than some shoot-em-up or hack-em-up and we don't need a child for an excuse. We just like them. ;) )

OUCH:scared: I hope that goes much more smoothly than you think it will:thumbsup2

I'm right there with you. We do have kids as an excuse, but we did "kid" things before we had them and will keep doing them long after they move out I am sure:rotfl:

Welcome! How old do you have to be to be a senior?? It's all relative, you know...

I'm old enough to have five grandchildren, but none of them will be on this cruise because my kids won't let them miss the beginning of the school year. My sister and her husband will also be sailing with us, but their daughter will start high school in 2010, so she can't miss school either. So, we are four adults who could probably be called "seniors", and we look forward to meeting you. We are also big Disney fans, so we are all still young at heart!!

I clench my teeth too. :headache: I have for years. I just got my first crown a few months ago, but I know there are many more to come.

Wow, that's a bit harsh don't you think? To not participate in a meet thread just because one person is a Captain Jack impersonator? :sad2:

It is not because one person is a impersonator, it is mostly the name of the thread. Hey if someone wants to impersonate him, go for it. maybe he can even make some side money from it. Like I said, this one charater ruined my whole vision of a pirate. To give an example, I will now only go on Pirates at Disneyland with my wife because she still loves the ride. Think me harsh if you like, but when you have a vision in your head as a kid, (I got from the orignal ride at Disneyland) and then you have that vision smashed over 30 years later it hurts and made me lose all interest.

Um... I'm not "WRONG", I swear to you I can book on my screen right now. Do you need a screen shot for proof? Are you always going to be this rude?

I would like to say I am sorry for that. I was so frustrated as I was kicked out 3 times when making my res. Also, before the first time I was kicked out I had the cabin my wife wanted (we are going for her birthday) and now we are one deck lower and inthe back. So I was not happy. So I would like to say I am sorry to you, and If I do see you onboard, I hope you accept the appology.

Hi
Probably a silly question - but hopefully one which those who have previously done a westbound TA will be able to answer.
Is the food on board likely to be the same wonderful quality as the food on the Caribbean cruises. I ask this because the ship will have been in Europe for some time, and I was wondering whether they have their food supplies flown from USA over or whether they use European suppliers. We had such fantastic food on board the Magic in October and hope it will be the same on the TA. I am sure that the chefs will be able to create wonderful menus with whatever raw materials they are supplied with, so I am hoping we will have the same amazing food on board.
Did anyone on the last TA have any disappointment with the food after having cruised before in USA? Thanks.

Just want to comment that my dh and I stayed at Le Meridian last year and it was just finished up a re-hab and was really nice. Right on Las Ramblas but not noisy at night, free internet and coffee and snacks and convenient within walking to a number of sights. We were hoping however that the Marina hotel would still be offered as we really liked that one and you can see the ship which is always exciting.

Good morning all. Well, the news on Dave's dinner last night is that he believes it went really well. He was told it is "90% he will be hired" but they want to sleep on it over the weekend:) Right about now Monday feels almost as far away as the cruise:lmao: Thank you all for your good thoughts and well wishes.

Sandra--I love the coaster and use them all the time (oh, and our nieghbor girl who is 7 has a "Mickey swimsuit like Marika has for her doll" on her birthday wish list!:rotfl2: )

Amy--Are the stiches bugging you less now? Hopefully you will "get used" to the feel and they will become less irritating.

Totally Angelic--We did the Eastbound TA so they still had U.S. food supplies so I cannot really answer your questions. That said, there were some different menus with an emphasis on Mediteranian food on even that TA. As a picky eater I was not overly fond of those, but there was always something for me (okay, so I may have ordered kids' meals more than once:upsidedow ). Dave loves nearly everything and liked all but one menu on which even he could not come up with anything to eat (he tried a number of items). We spoke with others who disliked that menu as well and I doubt it will be back. There were also a lot of European cheeses being offered as desserts, or in Palo, etc. Marika, my bleu cheese lover, was thrilled about that (kudos to Erik, Jason, Chris and Rob for bringing her plates of fancy cheeses every time they dined in Palo:love: ). One thing I did notice (being a salad lover) was that the salad greens were getting pretty wilty by the last couple of sea days (as soon as we hit land in Tenerife we must have brought on produce because they perked right back up again).

Good Morning

Wanted to pop in and say hello. I still have not had time to bring myself up to speed on this thead. I am looking forward to meeting all of you!

Hello and welcome Barb. The best way to get up to speed is to check out the website (fastest was I know to tell you to find it is to go to page one and clikc on the link in post one):thumbsup2

Glad to hear things went well! Keep us posted! :goodvibes

The stitches are still bugging me but my goal for the day (that I set forth myself LOL!) is to not play with them at all! Hopefully that will hold true for at least part of the day! LOL!!!!

Dreary day in PA. Cold and rainy. My poor parents have to go to a funeral...not a good day for that.

Oh that news is very encouraging! :goodvibes I'm sure Monday is indeed very very far away. Thanks for the update, and we'll keep sending good thoughts to NH!!
