It does help me relax but what I need to do is sleep. If I don't I can loose as much as three days before I can catch up to be normal. Last time DH,DD Samantha and I went to the UK, DD and I took about 3 days to catch up before we could sightsee. This time I am determined to figure out a way to sleep so I don't loose the first three days of this trip!!

I understand. For us coming back from our US holidays, we stay awake that arrival day and go to bed as late as possible. Don't nap. Usually sleep like a log and late too, but then the second night is completely different. Awake very early or in the night and very tired during the day! It gradually gets better night after night, but can go on for sometime for some people. We usually say 10 days before we feel normal.

Lovely dress Karen.............................

So 160 quid and 25 mile round trip to carphone warehouse;)

AND THE MORANS GAVE ME THE WRONG CARDS FOR THE PHONE :sad1:

seriously,Ive had it with shopping, the first hour is ok, but to go back and back, :sad2:
fed up now, as my to do list is getting longer I am getting more and more fed up, I just want to go cruising now.:cool2:

I was meant to be going to boxercise tonight, but I cant be bothered, might just go and find a ned to practice on:rotfl2:

I'm annoyed for you Lynne! You give that ned you find whatfor tonight!!

Like you I can cope with an hour of shopping, that is why I seem to have to shop every day at the moment. I do love a shopping trip with a friend though. Lots of coffee breaks, lunch, and a right good natter. Little actual shopping.:rotfl2:

I am like that as well. This week I have been slowly switching over to East Coast time. This morning I was up at 4:00AM California time. Next week I am going to try to get as close to European time as I can as I suffer from extreme jet lag when I go East unless I do a gradual switchover.

Our flight leaves at 7:00PM on Sept 13 and arrives at 3:00PM in Frankfurt. I will try at least doze on the plane as I find it hard to sleep on airplane. My DH will sleep like a rock as he never has any trouble sleeping on airplanes.

We will have an early dinner with the family in Frankfurt. I hope then try to get to sleep by around 10:00PM as we have a 6:55AM flight first to Berlin, change planes and arrive in Barcelona at 11:20AM.

Our hope to clear customs in Barcelona in an hour, pickup up our Viatour tickets and take the shuttle to our hotel. I have prearranged with the concierge to either check in or drop off our bags depending on the room readiness. We hope to be sightseeing on the HOHO bus by 2PM or thereabouts.

None of these plans will come to fruition if I am unable to sleep. DH knows to keep an eye on me to be sure I don't wander off if I take the Ambien either on the plane or in the hotel!!

Ambien is great! Over the last four years I have flown to Germany six times and I take the ambien when I am through with the meal. I decline dessert and go to sleep. I sleep until they are serving breakfast and I am able to stay up all day. I have never had any of the side effects that it has so hopefully you won't either.

You said to ask if I had any other questions, right? This one is about formatting here. How do I put only a partial of someone's quote in my post and then do several people's quote with response so I only do one long post instead of several? I tried once and it failed! :confused3

Judy

Two weeks from now, I will be running around the house making sure I have everything while I am waiting for Stephanie to pick me up in two and a half hours!!!!!! :cool1::dance3::cheer2::yay::woohoo::thumbsup2:cool1::yay::dance3::banana::cool1::dance3:

Thanks, Val, went to Tanforan and Stonestown today. Did MAJOR damage! Like I really needed a pirate's watch, but they had it, so HAD to have it!

Judy

Congrats - Just keep telling yourself that you are doing your patriotic duty by stimulating the economy. You alone may have saved someones job!! (Can you tell Fantasyland is one of my favorite places in DL?)

Sometimes it seems the gods are out to get you. I just got an offer :
Ghirardelli Square Chocolate Festival
Calling all theobromine freaks! Okay, so that's not the best rallying cry for the Ghirardelli Square Chocolate Festival. But any chocoholic knows that cocoa can be a mild antidepressant and a sexual stimulant, and for that we thank theobromine, the active ingredient in chocolate. Get your fix for 50% off when you buy today's deal for their 15th annual festival, which will be held on September 11th and 12th. Today's $10 voucher buys you 15 samples -- chocolate-filled, chocolate-covered, and chocolate-flavored everything -- from around 40 Bay Area vendors. Time your visit with a chocolate-themed event or demonstration, like cocoa buff Scott Broccolli's tutorial on barbecuing with brown bliss. How's that for hot chocolate?

AND the tickets are 50% off- it would be criminal to pass it up don't you think? val

Next to the quote button is a multi quote button. You depress that button each time until you come to the last person you want to quote, then you depress the quote button. What will come up is all the multi quotes from different posters.

You can then delete any messages within the posts that you do not want to which you don't want to make a response. I use a different color for my posts so as to distinguish them from the poster that I am quoting.

It would indeed!!!!

We have stayed at SSR for quite a lot of nights, and walk to/from DTD almost every day. We just HAVE to call in the Ghirardelli shop there for our free sample. Sometimes we just HAVE to call in on the way back too!!! They are so yummy.

Welcome!!!!!!! :)

It's funny - I thought I was going to be the exact same way last week when I first injected myself, but I was actually OK. I thought I would be way more freaked out. It's not as bad doing it as my mind thought it would be. :)

So you don't need a note from your doctor because it's liquid and needles to bring it aboard the plane? I'd prefer to keep it with me because it's not supposed to be stored in any conditions less than 59 degrees. I'm a little worried about that.

I carry a card that says what I have and what prescription I take. Also, if you are traveling with meds that need refrigeration, the drug company or whoever you go through, should give you a travel case with a cold pack. I have MS so sometimes they (MSLifelines) will call to make sure I am well stocked. I don't know how it works with other illnesses.

Thanks, Noel, but the "Pirate Chef" is by the designer, Jon Wye. My son, Palmer, was Jon's intern for the summer and learned so much--he was involved in production, inventory, sales, marketing, and he even got to model. Palmer did get to design, but it won't appear on the website for a while. For a creative college kid, it was a great experience working with a young entrepreneur and it got my son thinking about a career outside the box.

Sandi, you hung out at the Limelight in the 80s :cool1: Wow! I didn't think anyone REMEMBERED hanging out at the Limelight in the 80s!

Andrea

I was :rotfl2:when I read your post. When my body feels beat up, I don't feel like cooking or cleaning and yawning by 8:00 - I do remember the "good ole days" to make me feel young again. Thank God for memories!!!

Cool beans, thank you!

I am trying to pack today. But after shopping yesterday it is harder, have to leave something behind. Did I mention that I live on a sailboat so it's hard for me to just lay things out and leave them like others can do in a spare room? So once I start a project I have to finish it.

Have you tried SEE's Candy? The best - mostly chocolate but their peanut brittle is sinful. Their factory is near the Tanforan shopping center. You can smell the chocolate. My DH says he knows when I've been dieting to long - I bake every recipe I see, but don't eat it. All the neighbors get care packages. I also put up my canning (Darn - need to get this seasons pickles canned before we go) and I can't stop talking about food. val

How exciting - a sailboat!!! You are taking a vacation on a boat AND live on a boat!

Well I guess it isn't actually a sleeping pill, but for resetting your body clock. They suggest taking it at your bedtime of where you are going to be travelling to for a few days before you travel. I think that is tough, even when we are returning from Florida as it would mean taking them at 5pm!!!:lmao: So, we just start taking them on the flight, or the day before, then for a few nights(up to a week) after we arrive home. We have asked a few Cabin Crew and they told us they take Melatonin.

I might have to get some of this .. I wonder if it works for nightworkers?

So 160 quid and 25 mile round trip to carphone warehouse;)

Yay...I multiquoted. Thank you for the instructions you gave

I don't think I have tried See's. I usually bake like mad when i am on a diet. I wonder why?:confused3

I might have to get some of this .. I wonder if it works for nightworkers?

I would Google it and see what it says. Sounds like it might.

Some of this quoting stuff is becoming a bit odd. Looks like I replied to my own quote, but I didn't post that original bit about See's candy!! How odd.

The only thing I could think of was maybe my own pillow, but I think I will get over it quickly. Maybe eating chocolate while laying on my DCL pillow will help:)

I will miss all the season openings of the shows I like to watch. But then again I miss that every September.

I like Criminal Minds. Grey's, House etc.

Im NOT in the money, last night I dropped my new posh phone, after buying new memory and loading all my stuff in it, twice in my life ive lost phones, once in Switzerland, and the extremes the folks went to to get it back to me, take it to the bus, bus driver dropped it in to hotel reception...:love:switzerland,
this phone I drop 2 mins from home and someone picked it up and kept it, it was engaged for 30 mins after I lost it then switched off, it had lots of credit and battery in it. Scotland can be a real dissapointment sometimes, and then I think of all the phones Ive returned to folks:confused3.
Anyway, it could have been worse, could have been one of the beagles I lost:dance3:

Yes I am glad you have not loss any beagles lately. NO loosing any before your trip you are too close so it is no off leashing :lmao: But sad you lost your phone :(

I'm sure you don't NEED 2... But, believe me, there's nothing like it!!! :cloud9:

Oh forgot to say, I bought a long purple maxi dress for the Villains night. I didn't want anything too formal so went for a jersey type material and I'm pretty pleased with it! Also it's not too long so I can wear it with flat sandals...

149031_pe.jpg

Nice looking dress .Ok dumbo question coming up. You think after waiting 2 years I would be prepared. Is villian night a formal or just theme. I keep seeing these awesome dress and am confused:confused3

I am just wrapping my mind around villian night. I never wear purple so I am think of maybe a purple accessory?
