That is good to hear. I will have to let my sister know. When she saw that Earl was hitting St. Maarten she was upset...she'll be happy to know the damage wasn't too great.

I have lots to catch up on - but I'll have to read in installments as real life is interrupting my Dis life. :sad2:

Well...looking at the map of the ship, it looks like Jason and I are awfully close to the Deck 6 laundry room...although I doubt we qualify as celebrities....but I promise not to request they shut it down on this trip (unless of course they shut it down for my private use since I am bringing about a week's worth of clothes for a month-long vacation...so we will need to do laundry at least twice on the B2B...so if they'll close it and let me use it then all bets are off! :lmao:

We're near the laundry room on deck 6, too. :)

Jon - so sorry to hear about your aunt. No matter how long you know it is coming, it is still difficult. Your family will be in my prayers.

Sue - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

Angie - so happy to hear about Dennis. I was thinking of him all day. No more mayonaise on the floor!!!!!

This "Earl" hurricane won't seem to bother Florida too much, but they are really talking about it hitting the NYC area and Kennedy airport. I hope it just dies overnight. Anybody hear about St. Maarten?

Erik - I cannot believe how quick your trip is coming up. Please post the blog so we can look at it.

Todd - thanks for posting the beautiful picture of The Magic!

Also, what is going on with Brent? I really hope he is on our cruise because he is better than the other one- cannot remember his name now. I do like Christian though too!!

Tomorrow is my doctor appt. and I hope I get wonderful news like Dennis. I will keep everyone posted because you have all been so kind with your input and experience - greatly appreciated.

Yes but no...still have stuff to do. And I won't get it done tonight because I got called into work. I'm still not 100% so I hope that's ok! LOL!

Hey - I'm one to talk. Not ready here yet either!!!! I'll probably be finishing up Wednesday morning before we leave!!

Oh Bernard, thank you so much for sharing this. I just read in the news that St. Maarten did get hit by Hurricane Earl. Glad to hear it was only minor damage (or at least it was easy to overcome). We've lived through many a hurricane here in SE Virginia. They just aren't fun.

But in a lighter note, having these big hurricanes barrelling through the Atlantic BEFORE we leave is a good thing for our trip. The more hot water they soak up out of the seas, the less likely a new hurricane of the same strength can form behind them.

We're all praying for smooth and quiet sailing on our trip home . . .

Tomorrow is two weeks before we leave . . .just can't believe it is this close and I haven't started packing . . .LOL

See y'all soon!

Eye surgery went very well - as we knew it would!! Dennis was released an hour after surgery and we stopped by friends' house for coffee for an hour or so. Now we are home and he is napping. Thank you all for the good thoughts and prayers this morning. :grouphug:
Wonderful news!

Awwwwww , Its getting close ...Heres the Magic pulling into Malta this morning , and the next time she does that we will be on her..... Matter of fact the next time she makes port in Barcelona she wont leave without us :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Hi, I new to the DIS forums and forums in general. Also a late comer to the cruise. Is it possible to join in for the pre cruise meet at the Hard Rock. It sounds like so much fun and a great way to meet fellow cruisers. Thank you

Welcome! I will add you to the list on page 1. Please also go to our web site and sign up there.

Angie - so happy to hear about Dennis. I was thinking of him all day. No more mayonaise on the floor!!!!!

Maybe I will go dribble mayonaise on the kitchen floor and see if he notices....or gets it!! :rotfl2::lmao:

We will keep you in our prayers as well. We have been keeping God quite busy lately!!! :littleangel:

Welcome aboard!! Please introduce yourself and tell us something about you.

We are Noel and John Birkner from Woodside, California. I am 59 and John is 66. This is our 4th DCL cruise but have cruised many times on other cruise lines.

As for the HRC (Hard Rock Cafe) meet, please see item #7 on the list below for instructions on how to join the meet.

Other DIS members I am sure will answer more of your questions, so let me give you some general information about our cruise thread.

Be sure you read page one for all the exciting things that are happening on this cruise. Here is a partial list.

1. PM DisneyVegas1 to see if there are any cruise shirts left. Here is the Link to what the the shirts look like. Last post I believe there was 1 AS. If that size don't work for you, you can print a copy of the logo from the transatlantic pirates site and make an iron on tee shirt
2. PM Buckeye Gal with your hotel and flight information, see Post #17
3. Decide if you want Mickey Mouse shirts which some of us are wearing to dinner of Sept 28 and if you want to join us to order or print your own tee shirt, see post #1
4. If you want to link your dining ressies, PM Mrs. Mork if you are early or PM Totally Angelic if you are late.
5. Sign up on the roll call and send your pictures to the our cruise website at Transatlantic Pirateswebsite.
6. PM Connie (Con5421) if you would like to purchase a lanyard pin. see post #11.
7. Let mdwoodman know, if you can join the HRC pre cruise meet on 17 September @ 1700. See post #5
8. Go to: http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?k...thkey=CJmPqOcK
and put your DIS name at the bottom of the list - then put in the sizes you need for your wristbands (they are a free gift) and fill in any other information you would like to share!
9. PM (Private Message) Sarah (Gismo1554) if you have any special occasions or birthdays that you are celebrating on board so she can put in our personal cruise Navigator.
10. If you are interested in a private St. Maarten tour, see post #2, PM birkner if interested.
11. A list of activities and a mini navigator link is posted on post #15.

Hope that gives you a good place to start. Any more questions, please ask away.

Noel

Hi, Noel, This was awesome information. Thank you so much! The link at #8 does not work, says the spreadsheet is unavailable.

Do you know where I would go to download the mini navigator to my iPad?

One more thing (at least for now) what is the protocol for the door magnets? I'm so excited, I'm trying to do everything that's left available!!!!!!!

Thanks again,

Judy
