Good Morning Cruisers!

I am off to get a trim this morning and already had a call with my cruisemate Kimmy to finalize some things. I keep going back and forth between :cool1: and :scared1:.

I bring a rubber door stop, (Hate when that heavy door hits me in the rear while chatting in the hall...) I bring my pillow, down comforter, and sheets....yes it may seem a bit crazy, but I SLEEP sooooo much better. And just in case you hadnt heard, "If Momma aint happy, aint NOBODY happy!" :thumbsup2 I do use a space bag ... One of those cardboard car airfreshners to hang in the rest rooms..;) Yankee Candle makes some really nice ones. Power surge extension cord. (If you have lots of electronics this is important) night light and small ipod speakers. mesh hamper...

Its not crazy at all that you bring your own sheets, blanket and pillow. my cousin does the same thing on every cruise she goes on. I also bring my own pillow.

I have been unable to verify if the gym will be opened or closed while we are sailing. I read a rumor on here and wonder if anyone was able to verify it?

Is anyone shipping anything over? I was considering shipping it o the hotel. Any thoughts?

AHHHHHHH :scared1: I hope its open. i need my gym. there will be a unhappy cruiser if the gym is closed

I am confused.. I'm in the Strawberry FE exchange and have 13 staterooms listed (including myself) all with numbers...

Your right - it looks all updated. Either Sue and Glenn have been working their magic - again , or I am further gone then I thought. Or as my 17 year old skate boarding nephew tells me "Auntie your cheese has fallen off your cracker" not sure what that means but I don't think it is a compliment.

HAPPY SATURDAY!!!!

The website has been updated, and I am updating post one now.
The Strawberry group will stand as it is posted on the web unless there is complete agreement to enlarge it.

From the cruise website "Guests who purchase a specialty coffee mug—available in Cove Café and other shops onboard—are entitled to a complimentary coffee in Cove Café."
Is this a good deal - Should we do it - What's it like ?

Two weeks next Saturday.
See you all Then
Jane & Dave

If it is the same mug they had several years ago....I LOVE mine. Dennis lost his :sad2: and was very sad. Last time we looked they were selling them only in the store, not the Cove and it did not include the complementary coffee so we passed on buying him another. (yes, I am frugal!) He will be VERY happy if they are in the Cove again this year. :woohoo:

Mrs Mork and I are sympatico! Great minds think alike!

Remember way back when when I thought that my FE gift was the bees' knees? Well Mrs Mork must agree! Everyone in my FE groups will be getting some little cards to hand out of their own. The rest of the FE will be a surprise, though!

What a nice gift!! :thumbsup2

Cool idea - I wonder if it will be a nice enough mug for a souvie? I do love my coffee and those little dinky mugs are too small. I even bought Starbucks Via coffee to add to the room service coffee which is too weak for us.

See above!

Tru is moving in 3 days! We are so excited, but poor her. She's understandably stressed and busy. Today she's heading over with some plants to transplant from her garden (which is absolutely gorgeous, complete with koi pond, vegetable garden, and beautiful over-the-top roses and other flowers). Her new house ---> will need her green thumb in the worst way. Please send her nice, calming thoughts to help her on her journey. I know she'll be missing my Dad something fierce over the next few days - they were a real romance couple. He only died coming up on 4 years ago this fall.

We will keep her in our thoughts. I can only imagine how hard this if for her, although exciting as well to be moving closer to you.

Pretty soon we'll all be meeting each other face to face - eek! Looking forward to it, really, just need to swallow my nervousness and jump in, right?

I get horribly nervous so we'll be suppressing those feelings and jumping right in together.. :goodvibes

But....we already know each other! No need to be nervous, we just have not seen each others faces nor gotten those first hugs! :grouphug:

It really not funny, one holiday I was going mad trying to fit my seat belt on the plane, I was nearly going a meltdown because it wouldnt fit,

:lmao::lmao:
It was Lens I was trying to get on.

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Isn't it great? I really need to get packing. Everything is sat exactly where I left it two weeks ago. Maybe today! Unfortunately work is full-tilt right now - I'm finally off-call 3 days before we leave. Until then it's full days and some nights, 7 days a week. It's a good thing I love my job.

Gotta run to down the rest of my cappucino and start cleaning up so keep up the charade with my mom that we aren't total slobs in her absence.

I think you will be just like the rest of us having a moment or minutes of awkwardness as we all first meet. Then I am sure it will feel as if we all know each other for years!!

Trying to get this straight, as the group was marked as closed 2 weeks ago.

Current members of the Strawberry FE list:
  1. Candyapple
  2. cquick
  3. CustardTart
  4. epcot1stfave
  5. Fishoutofwater
  6. ftmill
  7. goiu
  8. got2travel
  9. grlzmom
  10. KrisannB
  11. sezmo
  12. TinkRules/Queen Mum
  13. tweety0227
  14. Valbob89
I know that "TinkRules/Queen Mum" so that makes 13 on the list. As peopel have been making FE gifts for 14, I have one slot that is open - unless EVERYONE in the groups is willing to do more.

According to Krisann DISer mickeymom923 has been on the wait list for a spot in the group. So, based on that I am adding her to the group.

I understand that there are 2 others that also want to join in - DizneyDeann and Poohbear926. To add these 2 I need a PM from EVERY Strawberry member that they are good with the group growing to 16. I am not trying to be a pain - but the group was closed out and people are making their FE gifts. It is not fair to those folks to just grow the group. Not to mention that some folks are going over early. I really do understand that people just joined or re joined, but we had to put deadlines in and unless the entire group is OK with the expansion, then we have to hold at the 14 it was closed out at. Make sense? SO, ALL YOU STRAWBWERRY FE FOLKS - PM ME ASAP so I can wrap this up!

You dont need to add me to the list as i am Mickeymom923's daughter and we are in the same cabin. I have just been doing her dirty work with PMing people for her as she had the eye surgery and couldnt do everything herself.

PLEASE STOP THE MADNESS!!
Sorry... :guilty: Just responding to something someone else had written..

I have been in contact with KrisannB as she is the strawberry FE orgnizer. As she is out of town, I will take this over and confirm the grouping.
:thumbsup2

I'm trying to catch up, so forgive the silly questions...

What is Villain Night?????

So, as far as dress up nights, we have Pirate Night, Mickey Mouse Club night, and Villain Night??? Oh, and then there's PJ breakfast. Is that all?

I may need my own ship to transport all these outfits!

Just wanted to share a slideshow of the 2008 EBPC cruise from LA to Orlando.

That TOAL (Trip of a Lifetime) as we nicknamed it had a similar feel to this thread. Many of us connected and have remained friends over time. Some of us on this cruise are on here, Monica, Me, Paula, Cpt, just to name a few. I challenge you to look for any familiar faces. Its long but I believe we will have the same "Magic" pixiedust: on this cruise.

Let's hope it works.

WPBC 2008 Part 2 Slideshow

Disney Villains Cast a Comical Spell on New Stage Spectacular Aboard Disney Cruise Line ShipsCELEBRATION, Fla. – The malevolent world of the Disney villains takes a comical spin in "Villains Tonight!," a musical spectacular that Disney Cruise Line is premiering in spring 2010. The revue-style show will debut during the March 27 voyage aboard the Disney Magic and will delight guests aboard the new Disney Dream cruise ship in early 2011.

"Villains Tonight!" is the first full-scale musical production dedicated to the Disney villains. The show is a family-friendly, fun-filled musical extravaganza that places these famous evil-doers in some irreverent funny moments.

"We pride ourselves in delivering exceptional entertainment and magnificent stage spectaculars aboard our ships," said Jim Urry, Vice President of Entertainment for Disney Cruise Line. "With 'Villains Tonight!' we are bringing the lovable and loathsome Disney villains to life in a way never seen before – as the stars of the first musical comedy devoted to the anti-heroes of our films."

Disney Cruise Line assembled an all-star creative team headlined by the Tony-nominated Broadway writing team of Hunter Bell and Jeff Bowen. They are joined by director Allison Narver, choreographer Karma Camp and musical director Ben Cohn.

"Villains Tonight!" begins as Hades and his faithful sidekicks, Pain and Panic ("Hercules"), welcome new souls (the audience) to the Underworld. But instead of a frightening realm, guests will discover that Hades has turned the Underworld into an upbeat and happier place. The lively fun comes to a halt when The Fates arrive and predict that Hades will lose his position as Lord of the Underworld if he doesn't ramp up the evil factor.

Worried by the news, Hades checks his Evil-O-Meter and discovers it is running dangerously low. So he comes up with a plan: He'll conjure up the very best of the worst – the most powerful Disney villains – to help him replenish the world of evil. What ensues is a comical journey as Hades, Pain and Panic embark on a quest filled with wacky antics and amusing musical numbers featuring everyone's favorite Disney villains and their sidekicks.

"Villains Tonight!" features a "Who's Who" of the Disney villains, including Disney's newest crook, Dr. Facilier from "The Princess and the Frog." The show also features classic divas and scoundrels like Ursula ("The Little Mermaid"), the Evil Queen ("Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs"), Captain Hook ("Peter Pan") and Scar ("The Lion King").

During "Villains Tonight!," the 977-seat Walt Disney Theatre becomes a hilariously wicked world through the use of elaborate sets and special effects, extravagant costumes and a fun-filled, contemporary musical score.

The show's scenery takes guests on a dazzling journey through many villainous worlds, from the deck of Captain Hook's ship to Scar's Elephant Graveyard to Ursula's Undersea Lounge.

"Villains Tonight!" features irreverent versions of classic Disney villain tunes including a dance club version of "Cruella De Vil" ("101 Dalmatians"), a Copacabana-inspired take of "Poor Unfortunate Souls" ("The Little Mermaid") and an electrifying version of "Friends on the Other Side," from Walt Disney Pictures' newest animated feature, "The Princess and the Frog." In addition, Bell and Bowen developed two original songs especially for the show, "Welcome to the Underworld" and "Villains Tonight."

The show was produced by Walt Disney Imagineering Creative Entertainment, which has received acclaim for its productions around the world, including "Finding Nemo – The Musical" (Walt Disney World Resort in Florida), "Disney's Aladdin – A Musical Spectacular" (Disneyland Resort in California), "Twice Charmed" (Disney Cruise Line) and "The Golden Mickeys" (Hong Kong Disneyland and Disney Cruise Line).

"Villains Tonight!" joins the lineup of shipboard stage musicals as the Disney Magic gets ready to embark on an unprecedented five-month season of Mediterranean and Northern European cruises. Departing from Barcelona, Spain, Mediterranean cruises go from April 24 to May 26 and Aug. 7 to Sept. 8, visiting popular ports in Italy, France and North Africa. Departing out of Dover, England, the Northern European cruises will sail from June 12 to July 18, visiting St. Petersburg, Oslo, Copenhagen and other enchanting ports.

A leader in the family cruise segment, Disney Cruise Line delivers a vacation experience that every member of the family feels was created especially for them.

How supportive? as in size 12 bottoms ,size 18 top supportive Karen, Im always looking for stuff like that without luck.
I'm not sure, Lynne. They're made from microfibre and supposed to be supportive for all sizes from A-H but I mainly wear 'em as I can't do underwires and they're so comfy....
