So, I will preface this by saying that I am pages and pages behind as my "day job" is getting in the way of my "night job" (reading on DIS). I am not sure where this has gone, so, my appologies for going over what has been hashed and rehashed I am certain...
First, while I am deeply flattered, I am also a bit embarrassed by this. When I joined on to this thread just under a year ago, I did so with the hopes of connecting with others that were Disney lovers as well as just "good people". I have 'met' both, and am so looking forward to the in person meetings that we will share in the near future. That said, I volunteered to organize things because at the time this all started happening (way before the talk of Spanx and packing) I had time to burn, and I like to do this. Additionally as I have mentioned to some, I am in a situation with my mom where I am better off being over busy so I don't dwell on that. Oh, and I really an enjoying of all of this! Yes, I guess I have a bit of OCD... (From part 2, I think... Hi my name is Sue and I am a DIS addict. My DISorder is planning...)
I hope that I have been able to help with things that will make somebodies vacation more enjoyable, more memorable and more fun! I know that you all have made mine all of this and we haven't even sailed yet. So, if I have helped you to be able to relax, focus on work, take care of your family, or find time to shop on EBay dso you have more dresses to wear, then that is all the pixie dust I need!
See you all in just over 3 weeks!!
Sue
It's a bit of a nerve-racking day for us today ..... DS Danny gets his GCSE results. This will determine whether he gets into college or not so it is really important. He is a bit worried to say the least, especially as he was still under the weather with glandular fever during the exams and really poorly in the 3 months prior. We are crossing everyhing that he gets good enough results to get into college.![]()
Well we have just returned from school and Danny managed to pass all of his GCSEs .... 2 x A grades, 3 x B grades, 3 x C grades and 1 x D grade ( Maths ... not his strong point ). Still waiting on Art and Design result.
So we are all really proud of him as he will now be accepted at college to study Media Production.![]()
Hi Sue,
It's my fault, and there was a general consensus that there couldn't be ONE Friend, but that there should be Friends, plural.
In any case, you shouldn't be embarrassed. You have been wonderfully supportive to us all, and if you enjoyed it, so much the better! I've always thought that a gift is a blessing to the giver.
See You Real Soon!
Richard
I am still looking for a pink boa. I know my hubby is listening cause on the weekend he went to a few stores ( with out me asking) and found every color put pink. He even went to an adult store![]()
Val I would offer to get them for you here, as they are Australian and we have an Ugg shop close, but I buy them in America as they are cheaper there!!!!! I am happy to get a price for you though?
I feel your pain, I am training so hard and eating so little, and it just won't move. My hormones are so far, we're trying to balance them, it's going to take time though, apparently I need to be patient, yeah right, I am a girl, I want to be skinny and I want it now!
Thanks for offering to check on the Uggs for me, very nice of you, but I think I've explored everywhere, including the main Ugg website, and they don't make the sandals I love any more. They may bring something like them back next season according to the guy at the UGG store in Union Square. They are just slip-ons, no between the toes strap, suede with the lambs fur in the suede. Maybe they were considered slippers but I don't think so 'cause your toes aren't covered. Anyway, I live in them. I wear a 4.5 so it's hard to find shoes that fit well (small feet big a--, not funny mother nature). val

Please see me if you need to rationalize anything, despite how frivolous or unneeded it is. I really need to stay off line for the next several days ...![]()
LOL I had a similar issue! Mind you Easyjet baggage restrictions put pay to one part of my gift as they are not allowed in the hold!
Now, fun stuff ... surely I am not the only one who is having this issue. I don't know if Mike and I are just so excited for this cruise, but I just checked our credit cards and I'm pretty sure in the past 2 weeks we've spent the equivalent of our cruise fare in new clothes, pirate gear, luggage, shoes. You know, because Talbots had a sale on shoes, and my shoes right now aren't that comfy. I'm pretty sure Mike buys a new pair of shoes for his tux every time we cruise (yes, I've mentioned he packs his entire bathroom. He also packs his entire closet). Those LL Bean hanging toiletry bags? Ours our 10 years old, and we "needed" new ones for the cruise. Really? Did we really need that new Tumi garment bag (it only weighs 7 pounds!). Please see me if you need to rationalize anything, despite how frivolous or unneeded it is. I really need to stay off line for the next several days ...

How very intriguing .... what on earth do you have that can't go in the hold
I am exactly the same ..... today I bought a new lightweight trolley bag, a pair of water shoes for Tony and a pair of Magic Knickers for myself ( as in Spanx-related product ). It is so easy just to keep splurging. Tomorrow we are going to a big shopping mall called the Trafford Centre on the search for shoes !!!
How very intriguing .... what on earth do you have that can't go in the hold!!!
I have just sorted our FE gifts, and I think I almost need a suitcase just for them.Goodness me!

Party Poppers - so no one is getting any lol! I spoke to customer services and they said they wont allow them on the plain as they are classed as explosives! Don't ask! Luckily this was only part of the gift but had to go through all the bags to sort it out!
I am almost afraid to start packing! Chuck keeps saying, we gotta pack less than last time! Oh, dear!
On another subject, Marilyn, how did you generate that list of who posted and how many times they posted on the thread?
Thanks, Connide
