:thumbsup2 done..

Im so looking forwrd to this trip, never been snorkling anywhere from a boat.
You know the vests they make you wear, can you still dive down with them or do they make you float? Is that a stupid q?

Actually, you're not required to wear a vest. The boat is required to have enough for everyone on board and they have to tell you exactly where they are kept before leaving port. I think kids under a certain age might be required to wear them (fortunately, it's based on chronological age and not cruise-induced apparent age!!!). :dance3:

I asked Len yesterday
"What are you looking forwrd to the most when you get on the ship?"

he said...........................

wait for it....

the buffet:rolleyes:

Im looking forwrd to meeting old and new friends.

Anyway, my question because last time we boarded the line was huge and slow for the buffet, when does room service open?

Here is a partial list.

1. PM DisneyVegas1 to see if there are any cruise shirts left.
2. PM Buckeye Gal with your hotel and flight information.
3. Decide if you want Mickey Mouse shirts and order, see post #1
4. If you want to link your dining ressies, PM Mrs. Mork if you are early or PM Totally Angelic if you are late.
5. Sign up on the roll call and send your pictures to the Transatlantic Pirates website.
6. PM Connie (Con5421) if you would like to purchase a lanyard pin.
7. Let mdwoodman know (post #8)if you can join the HRC pre cruise meet on 17 September @ 1700.
8. Let birkner know (post #9) if you want to join fellow DISers on a private tour of Madeira.
9. Go to: http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?k...thkey=CJmPqOcK
and put your DIS name at the bottom of the list - then put in the sizes you need for your wristbands (they are a gift) and fill in any other information you would like to share!

10. If you want to be in the FE please email akblair@charter.net with your family info.

Oh and let me know if you are celebrating any special conditions!

Thanks, but I think I never made myself clear, its the yellow ones you put on for snorkling, not like a life vest /jacket type thing. I hope I dont have to wear one, I hope you got me, I love being unrestricted in the water, last time at cc we had to wear them.

Hmmmmm our Delayed honeymoon ....and our 1 year Anniversary since we met on the 30th of Sept

Didnt know if you had those - Also Celebrating my Oldest sons last days of Freedom :lmao::lmao: As he leaves for the Army Oct 26th to Fort Benning ....I am so proud of him for choosing on his own to serve his country ...

Okay everyone. This is my problem. I know it's short notice and the other day I wrote a post saying that my DD and I will be joining you. However, she has been dog sitting all week and won't be back on line until around 7 pm tonight. I just realized that with the way this thread is going, there is no way that Lindsay will even see my post telling her that we are going and again spending our birthdays on the cruise. :confused3 If you don't mind, can we have some fun. Would whoever reading this, mind sending her a AOL message to: lilgchottie926@aol.com either welcoming her; see you soon; Mickey misses you; etc etc to give her clues that we/she is going on this awesome cruise. I know the first thing that she will do is check her AOL email.:surfweb: Even if she goes on this thread she'll never see my telling her "Happy Birthday" we're going. This will drive her crazy seeing email from old friends and new ones and have no idea. :rotfl2: I know we will all have an awesome time. Thanks for making it even more fun and exciting for her. :thumbsup2

Bev:woohoo:

As requested :cool1: Shell probably think were all mad!

All we used in the water was fins, mask, and snorkel.

We will all be crying when she sounds her horn(well the girlies anyway)

For anyone planning to visit Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, I understand that the Pope is supposed to consecrate it on 7 Nov. As a result, there is a flurry of activity trying to move construction along (as if they can do in two months what hasn't been accomplished in 100 years!!!) and many parts, inside and outside, are blocked by construction fences, etc.

That's a shame.

Thanks for the heads up. Do you think that means that we will not get see very much? Sure sounds like it to me. DH and I are going to be disappointed....

Me too.

I couldn't leave them back on part 7 now could I?

PHOOEY! This is the one thing that I really wanted to see.
Yes, the Sagrada Familia is a highlight.

Don't leave those Spanx anywhere please!!

I think we'll still be able to see a lot; there just may be construction fences, scaffolding, etc. in the view - more than usual!

Sounds more promising!

We must NEVER forget the Spanx!!!! Especially after 13 nights of cruise dining - I might have to double up and wear 2 pairs at a time... :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

After 13 nights of dining you might not even be able to get into one pair!;)

You need a room to order room service me thinks!!!;)

Are you going to wear them all at the same time?:lmao:

Shirt, lanyard, pin and wristband can all be worn at the same time, right? Unfortunately the shirts aren't pink so can't wear them with the boa and tiara.

OK....in case anyone needs a fix of their 'Magic' today.....here are some pictures from our day at Dover yesterday waving her off as she heads back to the Med ready for US!!!!!!:dance3::dance3:

:littleangel:

Awww. I can see the window we had on our last cruise (7514, the last porthole on deck 7 before the verandahs start (except that was on the Wonder, to be honest)), the Roy Disney suite we had in 2008, and the 7620 secret verandah room we booked on our 1st cruise for one set of our parents (the other ones were in the other SV room on the other side of the ship.) I guess we've spent quality time on the starboard side of the ships!)

My understanding is that once you give a ressie to a TA that is that!! Why not send a PM message to WebmasterJohn on this board about your problems with DU? He seems to be quite helpful.

WebmasterJohn has posted several times asking that people send him emails and not PMs since he doesn't get them as quickly as he gets the emails. His email address is posted in various places, most recently in the thread about not getting the $50 Visa OBC.

Kathy seems to be the one dealing with me. Didn't think of posting over there! Will do that now!

I've had very good service from DU, but I don't go very long without a response before I escalate if it's important. Tracy and Kelsie have been consistently good for me, and Tammy as well generally. You can always email the cruise concierge team with a question (I generally copy my preferred TA as well) and someone should get back to you. There is also a phone number you can call, but if you're calling from the UK I doubt it will do you any good since I think it's a 1-800 number.

I think we'll still be able to see a lot; there just may be construction fences, scaffolding, etc. in the view - more than usual!

This would be par for course for my foreign travels. I think I have pictures of the Parthenon, Notre Dame, a church in Toledo, Spain, and other major landmarks all with scaffolding on them. Man, I thought we were slow at building things!!

I may be coming in mid-coversation, but are you talking about snorkling vests or life vests? I know on Castaway Cay, they make everyone in the snorkling lagoon wear a snorkling vest (even if you brought your own snorkling equipment.) I've seen many a person yelled at by the lifeguards for not having a snorkling vest on. If you're talking about a snorkling excursion, then I have no comment.
