Great video and pictures. I did the same type of video for our son's wedding and it was a big hit. I can tell you as I was putting it together it brought back so many memories. I shed a few tears as I saw the boy become a man. We adopted our son when he was 6 and his wife was adopted when she was 7 so we had no baby pictures. We started the video with pictures of the two of them coming home from Russia. I was able to sneak the last picture in of them kissing at the wedding. We showed the video at the reception just before their first dance. This was the first time they and his in-laws had seen it and I cried during the entire thing. They were tears of joy.

I hope the same happy memories came flooding back for your family as you watched the video. It is wonderful to watch them become adults through the pictures. It looks like they had a beautiful wedding and were very happy on the wedding day.

Thank you for your lovely and thoughtful post. Our family absolutely felt the same way. My husband is the man holding Erik in the first five seconds of the video when Erik was such a tiny baby. Both us remember Erik as a baby, a toddler, a young man, a teenager and finally a man. The video captured so many of those moments.

The video was shown at the rehearsal dinner and there wasn't a dry eye in the house. All of our family on both sides were just thrilled with the content. What a wonderful walk down memory lane for all of us!!

Unfortunately for whatever reason, the bride's family did not have a videographer at the wedding. We only have some raw footage that my DH took which he has sent to my other nephew.

Needless to say my SIL's family on both sides was not too pleased as they were under the impression that there would be a videographer. Especially, since my nephew's brother is in the business!! Another story for another day!!

Erik's brother Rob did the video. He is the President of Vidder.com which is a platform for video publishers. I think he did an outstanding job!!

The bride was beautiful, the wedding was lovely and the food was terrific. We danced for a few hours and then adjourned to the bar John Ash and Company at 11:00PM. You can probably see how much wine tasting we did into the night on some of the other pictures.

Not me, i read it on the other thread, I never get or expect an upgrade:goodvibes

Sorry, Lynne, I misread. I hope you get a nice upgrade, though (we never get or expect them either).

Speaking of tiaras, I just won the perfect Tiara on Ebay. With shipping, it was only GBP8. I am just hoping that it will fit.

No worries, I just love reading that thread and hearing about some of the great upgrades folks get.
At the minute I will sleep on a deck chair, I just want my big butt on that ship !!!!!:hippie:

Better question: you mean you actually WEAR socks?!? I will be avoiding socks for most of this cruise altogether! During the summer I try to wear non-sandal/flip flop shoes as seldom as possible. EVen when we are dressed for dinner I wear sandals with my khaki pants and dress shirts and ties....I can't stand shoes. The only solid shoes we will bring will be our tux shoes which we'll wear on formal nights and which we also wear under our boot covers on pirate night....but beyond that I will have sandals on all the time I'm able to!! :thumbsup2

Hang on, I'd better start taking notes

Well, as 'the original' Champagne Girl :rolleyes1 I better join in.......

:littleangel:

Angel, can you believe it.....it amazes me how far our little chat about champagne girls has grown.

I should have been on this cruise....I know so many of you.

Just an FYI, me and Angel chatted away on a thread one day and dreamed up the champagne girls. We wanted to do a champagne tasting and all of our girls were to wear pink with pink tiaras....the pink boas came later. We wanted a picture to put in a pink frame above our bars at home. We have a mascot, Sassy Bubbles, who dresses like a pink tink.

To date, we have had two champagne girls tastings. I'll provide pictures of each.

This was our first one:

Whatever you decide to do.....I think it's wonderful that the Champagne Girls are Forever and that they can travel from cruise to cruise and keep up the tradition.:cutie:

I am so in!!!! Want to have the Champagne Girls in my signature. :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

My friends have warned me that cigarette smoke is everywhere in Spain. For those of us that have major health issue with this it may be a problem. They advise that even in the best restaurants requests for a non-smoking section is a huge joke to them. Anyway, a recent travel column by Christopher Elliott suggests you contact the hotel directly to confirm your request for a non-smoking room and be prepared for your room not to be smoke free. Have any of you a suggestion on how to deal with this? val

Spain actually passed a law a couple of years back that said restaurants had to be smoke-free unless they have a physical barrier (a wall, not just separate areas) and then they could have a smoking section. I was really excited after having suffered through many miserable business dinners. I know that after a while there was quite an uproar and there was talk about the government backing off on some of the regulations. I hope it's still in effect!

Thanks to all who have commented on the smoking issue in Spain. Like most things in life I guess you just have to wait and see and manage your expectations. val

Just take what you want and copy it to photobucket then you can add it to your signature. You can take it from my signature if you would like. I have two logos there....for our first and second tastings.:cutie: Or you can use Angel's graphic, but I don't know how to resize it. Good Luck! Have Fun!! AND Cheers!!!

Hi Deb! There's still time for you and John to join us.

Woody

HI Woody.....I miss you.....say hi to Mrs. Woody for me!!!

I would LOVE nothing more than to join you all on this cruise. But I already have too many booked and I just can't afford to keep up with your cruising lifestyle.....hahaha.

We'll see each other on the LA Repo....I'm already booked at the Crowne Plaza with a terrace.....let's do dinner again!!! We'll talk as it gets closer.

Enjoy!!
