DH and looked at that link some time ago.

I think that sounds fun but we are so booked now!! DH wants to tour and we want to stay together!!

If you can get an extra booklet for a reasonable amount, I would be interested.

Noel - I sent you a PM and just when I hit send my computer shut down. Let me know if you get it! Thank you!!

My family will be joining this big DIS group for the WBTA. Joining in late (just got home from Baltic which was wonderful)

Me, dh, dd16, dd14, dd9, dd7 and ds7.

We did the EBTA and Med btb in April, loved it and are repeating it with the last med and WBTA back to back.

Kind of late in the planning but hoping to meet some new DIS friends and see some familiar faces again.

Hello all....we got our flight information today....but kind of in a strange way. A few weeks back we called Disney air to find out what airline they normally used out of JFK in NY...they told us that they generally use Delta. I mentioned to the young lady that they had a non-stop to Barcelona leaving at 5:40 in the evening. She led me to believe that they try to use non-stop flights when they can. Today, I called DCL reservations to find out if the flight had been assigned. I was told that they were waiting for confirmation from the airline and we should have it within 10 days.....so here is what I did....I called Delta and asked if by chance my DW and I were on Flight 94 leaving at 5:40 p.m. on that Friday evening. They confirmed we were on that flight and gave us the confirmation number so we could change our seat assignments if we wanted to. We are currently booked and our seats are 33 A & B. Very happy with the flight and the seats are fine. Also found out we are flying back home to JFK on a flight that leaves at 11:45 a.m. in the morning and is a non-stop back home. Great flights...and no rushing off the ship to get to the airport. We are VERY pleased with these flights!!! So....now we are just waiting for our stateroom assignment....we are booked as a 11 GTY.....hopefully we can get a little upgrade....maybe a small window to the outside world.....so we got half the loaf today......can you guys see the smile on my face.....its there!!!:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

Thanks for this info. I called Disney and got the same "you'll get your info 60 days before the cruise". So, I followed your lead and called Delta. There are no direct flights from Indianapolis to Barcelona, so I told her it might be flight 94 or flight 114 through Atlanta. She asked for my last name, found the reservation and emailed it to me, with no proof of who I even was! Scary!:scared1:

So, I've got the info and I'm okay with the flights except that for our flight from ATL to BCN we have seats 41C, 42C, 43E, and 44E and the flight is completely full! I hope we do okay, but I'll have to remind myself that at least I have a seat and will soon be on the Magic.

Who do I PM with flight info? Or do I just put it here?

Welcome - welcome! You have done lots of cruising! Do you home school? I was just asking because I cannot imagine a school excusing that many days. I used to have problems with 7 days - :rotfl: We live in Florida and my daughter, Abby will be 13 at the time of the cruise. We look forward to sailing with you!

Now you're all making ME want to do this!! We fly out even earlier than all of you (Monday, Sept. 6th----so we're already under the 60 day mark!!!!) because we're on the B2B and we've heard nothing from DCL or our TA about our flight either! So what should I do? Go to delta's website and search for red eye flights from Orlando (MCO) to Barcelona (BCN)??

That's exactly what I did. I'm glad I did, even though I couldn't change the seats for the long flight. I found out all our flights and on one, I was able to change from row 31 to rows 13 and 14--much better.

Sue - per the scrapbook - I find it tempting to do more pages but the cost can add up - so for my books - if I am doing a 12x12 I try to do a day per page of the trip and use 6-10 pictures on each page - getting the best of the best on the pages - then once I have the one done that I am going to print - I go back and modify it after I send it to be printed - and add in more pages for each day and save that as a PDF - which allows me to do it as a slide show or upload to places like facebook - it cuts down on the cost but some of my books are still big it seems - I do more collages and less space on the 12x12 books because of the higher price. Now for each of my kids I will convert the 12x12 into and 8x8 for their collection (half the price almost of a 12x12).

I put the price of the book into our trip cost - then it doesn't seem so much - especially when you consider the ease and how beautiful they come out.

Does anyone want me to bring my EBTA book with me?

OK I just logged onto the Delta site and there are 42 flights departing Orlando for Barcelona with Delta on Monday, Sept. 6th!! None of them are non-stop (boo!!). There are one-stop and multi-stop. There are a LOT that stop in Atlanta and then apparently fly direct from Atlanta to BCN....a few that stop in NYC and then over to BCN....a couple with random US stops (like Minneapolis and Detroit)....and then a bunch with European stops in either Amsterdam or Paris.

I am REALLY hoping that we get a flight with only one stop----and I also REALLY hope that our stop is in the US. (I have heard from many folks that if you don't have to stop and/or deplane in Europe anywhere then they are far less likely to get too strict about your carry-on size(s) or weight(s)...so that would be a huge +++ for us as we figure out how to get everything there.

The one thing I did learn from doing this quick search is that the flights all leave a lot earlier than I thought they would. For some reason I anticipated that we would leave at or after dinner time on Monday and then arrive in the afternoon on Tuesday....but the latest flight that leaves Orlando is 6:30pm and it looks like MANY of them are late morning or early afternoon on Monday....which completely changes the way we were thinking of spending our time in Orlando before the trip!

Hiya! Welcome onboard. Check out Page 1 for all the relevant info and sign up stuff!

Oh and let me know if you have anything you'd like added into the Navigator.

Don't forget to sign up to the website http://www.transatlanticpirates.com

OK so I was just updating my name list for the navigator with the FE group listings and came across a few people missing off the website -

Renegade
Linda & David

Just a reminder that the list in the navigator will be going from the website so please everyone remember to not only sign up but update with new information as it becomes available.

Also - Poohluvsfigment - are you Dee's sister (1DisneyQueen)? Just checking as not sure whether the 3 entries on the FE list is one for Dee one for you and one for your daughters room?

We're flying out of Orlando on the 6th on American with a stop at JFK.

Where did you order that from. There are four of us who use CPAP. Some need it more than others.

I did a google search for electric converters and found one on Buy.com for $2.48 with no shipping charges.

So glad to see you coming on this one too! Maybe this time we can meet up more! I hated we kept missing each other - now what are the chances Stephanie will come too???

If you are wanting to do FE's I am taking info for the "late" groups - we are planning on keeping it to 12 but no more than 15 - and keeping it open as long as possible for late comers but my plan is to close it officially before the B2B people have to leave - but if you plan on 15 the worst thing is you would have some left over to gift to non-FE's. (this is my plan)

Multi-stop was what I was really worried about, too. It was my main concern using DCL air.

I just looked up the Orlando to Barcelona flights for the 6th. If you eliminate the multi-stop, all but one go through Atlanta on Flight 114. Just call Delta and ask if you're on that flight. Good luck.

Hoagie..cruise was great (what cruise isn't?) The ship has some weird quirks, but we had a wonderful time. The evening entertainment was fabulous. They do not use the main theater as a show-every-night venue. It is rather small--only holds about 630 people. This ship has smaller venues for entertainment and reservations are necessary. People queue up for the shows about 1/2 before to insure good seating. Some of the more memorable acts are Blue Man Group, the Second City Troupe, Legends in Concert (although their show was down for a part of the trip), Cirque Dreams, which has a separate venue built for it. I posted my pictures on Webshots so that non-Facebook people can view them. http://community.webshots.com/user/Melanie0227

Oh must go and have a look at the pix thank you, as we should have been on that too!:)

Good morning/afternoon/evening all!

I likely won't be around for a couple of days as I am leaving shortly to get my eyes lasered! :scared1: :cool2: :scared:

I hope I don't miss too much!

Wish me luck and see you on the other side of 20/20!

Carolynn

Good luck!:thumbsup2

That is so true Noel. This cruise has wonderful people onboard.:dance3::dance3: Going to be fantastic!!!

I so agree, thank you all for the friendship & support over my daughter, even though we didn't join til late I feel really blessed :grouphug:

I belong to an Elizabeth Peters group that use to be very active but has gone dormant. John and I listen to her books on tape with Barbara Rosenblatt every night. I have them all on my computer. We listen in sequence of publication.

Noel, I found the first 2 of the 'Jacqueline Kirby' series over here but they don't have the last 2 which I suppose must be out of print in the UK...I shall keep looking!

Jason swears by his laser surgery, too. He was not able to wear contacts (can't stand the feeling) so he was always wearing glasses until he had his surgery about 6 years ago....and he's been so happy with his results!!

I would love to have this done if I could afford it! I can't wear contacts either and get so fed up with my glasses :sad2:

A couple more tasks completed....requested a 90 supply of Dennis' meds so we will be sure to have enough to last thru our FL stay. I also have ordered the electric converter so that he can use his CPAP in Barcelona. Bit by bit getting it done. :cool1:

Oh thanks for the reminder! Must request an extra month's prescription meds supply....note to self!:thumbsup2
