For those folks who have an ITunes account. Some how my account was hacked. They charges close to 1000.00. What I have learned from this is NEVER keep your credit card on file to auto charge. I have reported it to ITunes (but am not holding my breath becasue they have still not contacted me) and to Capitol One (they have been awesome so far).

Oh no! Not good! Gonna remove my card now!

Oh dear, poor Mark. I have lots of boring cruise related stuff to do like printing out the documents!!

Much more fun is online shopping!!!:cheer2:

I did the online shopping last week. Got the delivery today!!! :dance3: One last dressy dress, 2 pair of knee length shorts and 2 tops. I am set! I think I need to buy a new white dress shirt for Dennis.

I just can't fancy sushi at all, just can't face the thought. However it is healthy as you say.

No sushi for me either.

Only managing to skim through the pages, :surfweb: you lot are moving along quickly. Tricia and I are off to the Lake District for the weekend tomorrow for Tricias birthday, looking forward to the break from the usual routine. :woohoo: hoping for some good weather after the last week of wet, cool days but we will take whatever.
We are staying at the http://www.derwentlodgehotel.co.uk, we stayed here last year and really enjoyed it. Forgot it is the start of the main holiday period so expect it will be busy.
Will try posting some pics as we will take the netbook to try and keep up with you all. This cruise is really coming up quickly now and we will have to start doing some planning or we will be the ones wandering around looking lost :scared1:.

Oh, that looks beautiful!! enjoy!!!!!!

My problem is the opposite - my favorite wine is Rosa Regale and here in the states I can buy it for about $20 a bottle - but on the ship it is $65 :scared1: and not on any wine package :(

I am hoping that somewhere in our travels in Europe I will be able to find a bottle to bring along with me :)

I really would love to try Rosa Regale. A friend of mine is absolute crazy about this. Is this relatively easy to get in USA? I really do not want to pay Disney prices. By the way is Banfi Bracheto D'Acqui not the same as Rosa Regale? If it is, then it is on the premium wine list.

The necklace and earring set I purchased on ebay arrived today! It's stunning and better quality than I was expecting! Can you believe it was just $14 + $5 S&H?!!

Now which dress to wear it with. :confused3 Hmmmm....

That necklace is gorgeous and such a bargain.

I got my fascinator for Villains night today was well as another hair slide for this night. I am really pleased with my finds.

You guys have started something. When I still worked in a boarding school, I would teach jewellery making and loved it. So now that I have found travel sized tools, if there is interest, I would be willing to do a jewellery making work shop. I was thinking in terms of three different projects that will teach all the basic techniques that one needs for making jewellery. We could do an illusion-style necklace, which will show you how to put loops into Beadalon (nylon-coated wire), attach a clasp or another type of closure and use crimps to keep beads in place. This could be either done in the colours of the ship (red, yellow, white and black) or in "Villains" colours (black and purple). This would be done with Swarovski crystals in various sizes and shapes. The second project would be a cellphone charm, which requires making a loop out of wire. The last project would be either a key chain or a bag charm, which requires working with a jump ring. Once all those basic techniques have been managed, you can pretty much make any jewellery you want. I think I could take up to 10 people and we would be looking at a cost of USD15 to 20 per person for the materials. When I tought this at school, my youngest students were 7 years old, but I thing this would be OK for anybody aged 6 years or older. The younger children might need a bit of help.

I got the missing components for the earrings today. This worked out really well. I made up the earrings tonight. Here are some photos of the whole set.

I also got my first tiara today. This is the blue one and it is absolutely stunning. It actually came from Hong Kong even though it said that the seller was in Australia, but I am very pleased with it. It came in a tiny box, but it was very easy to reshape it. This is definitely nice enough to be worn for my vow renewal next year. I will wait until the Champagne Girl tiara arrives and then I will get a tiara box from one of my jewellery suppliers to keep them safe in transit.

Got one more thing out of the way.

I called the credit card companies to place travel notifications on the accounts.

Woody

 One more thing done!! Congrats!

Riiight!

Btw. I ordered THE dress. So excited.

Acutally I am a little superstitious. So, this is pretty early for me getting into the preparation mode. But you guys are so fun to read with planning and stuff.
So I ordered my dress. *woohoo* But delivery takes 4 (!!) weeks.

:dance3: I'm so glad you ordered it Steffi!! It was truly stunning and should look gorgeous on you!

Sounds like yours will arrive about the same time as mine. I'm hoping it won't be late because I'm sure I'll need alterations!

Corinna - I would love to learn! I've been looking at the stuff in the craft store but can't figure how to really put it all together.

I don't know if any of you know Brandie Tucker-Raleigh (scarlett873) or not, but thought I would pass along this news. She's a pretty active participant on the Podcast threads and even went on the DIS Unplugged Cruise last December.

Brandie and I are friends on Facebook, and I noticed this morning that she posted "He's gone." Her husband of almost 8 years, Matthew, passed away unexpectedly during the night. I would say he was in his mid 30's. I don't know what happened, but it's just so tragic. She's been posting on FB a lot today, and they all just break your heart. Just minutes ago she posted "It looks as if he's still online...and it breaks my heart all over again to see it there, but I don't want it to go away...". :sad1:

I really didn't know Brandie, but I haven't been able to get my mind off of her all day. It's even brought me to tears a couple of times. If you are familiar with Brandie on the DIS and would like to express your condolences, I know she's reading a thread on the DIS where people are expressing their sorrow and sympathy. She and Matthew were scheduled to go to Chicago this weekend for a mini DIS meets, which obviously will be a different kind gathering now.

The strength of online communities is amazing. Love and live like there's no tomorrow my friends! :grouphug:

I did this quite a few years ago when we when to Niagara Falls and Toronto. When I got home there was a message from Discover card stating that there had been unusual activity on the account and to please call them.:confused3 Luckily, they did not inactivate the account while we were on vacation.

Pretty bored tonight, poor old Mark has been at work for nearly 15 hours today so far and is still there.....:rolleyes1No idea what time he'll get in.....I hate to think!:sad2: So here I am, trying to decide what to do with myself...must find something cruise related to do!

:littleangel:

Same here. DH is working late. So, I'm just here :surfweb:.

Corinna if you do teach a jewellry class I'd love to attend please! :cool1:

I see another list here!! :lmao:

Hi

Can someone let me know what time you are able to get on the ship from on the 18 Sept

Thanks

David

Boarding usually starts between 11:30 am and 12. Lots of us will be there much earlier than that though!! And I see this is your first post....WELCOME!!

You have been busy - I'll catch up with the rest later today. :)

Hey Paula, I'm surprised you haven't seen it. It's been making all the national news and morning shows. The evidence is so damning there is no way he will get away with it.

After your 33 and my 34 we will probably look like something out of the Muppets, I'm guessing Sweetums -
http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20051222064545/muppet/images/d/db/Sweetumsbn.jpg

Confess that I don't tend to be much of a news watcher, I check it out on the net, read the headlines and the odd article but thats about it. We got rid of our TV months ago as we weren't watching it and the newspaper is so depressing that I rarely read it - just if it has happens to be on the table in front of me on my lunch break at work. Its all far too depressing.

I'm sure its been all over the news though.

My passport arrived and I'm totally blown away. Its gorgeous! Its black with a silver fern on the front and back and embossed. Inside its very colourful with maori designs and pictures depicting NZ - they are going to ruin it with stamps :lmao:

Bought Bailey a new Twilight book but don't know the name. Seems 13 year old girls love this series. I prefer True Blood.

I really enjoyed the Twilight series but I've not read the True Blood books - I might have to now though as we are half way through series 2 and loving it!

Can you post a picture? Sounds nice. Maybe the embossing is one of the security features?

Finally made it to Melbourne (Australia) went from 45C to 12C but at least in the cold you can just put more clothes on.in the heat, ESP. In an Islamic country, there is a limit to how many clothes you can take off!

Also got an Ipad - very nice toy.

Love all of the jewellery pictures and Corrina if you do a class I would be very interested.

Nice! It's always exciting to get your passport in the first place, but that was the sprinkles on top of the whipped cream on top of the ice cream!
