This was Thursday's heat... not that uncommon here:scared1:

Annie:cool2:
When we went to las vegas last year it was the warmest place weve ever been, my crocs kept sticking to to tarmac, lol.:cool2:
Have you tried automatic feeders?? we have 3 cats and 2 birds, we use automatic feeders for the cats and 2 large dishes for the birds. Then only need someone to change the litter box every other day. Okay that is what the real problem is. Maybe we should invest in a automatic liter box too? idea :wizard:

I would worry too much that something was wrong, like feeders breaking, cat ill, someone breaking in, but I suppose I might be neurotic?

OK! I'll contact DEB! DEAR DEB FALBUSCH who sent me a tiara and pink boa when I couldn't cruise with the group. I'll order the wine from DCL, I'll make sure we have a room...I hope it's Diversions......AND I will go to the Cast Connection tomorrow to see if I can scrounge up a bunch of tiaras......

Thanks for the advice! princess:princess:

It sounds like a great plan Connie. You're doing such a good job. I hope my info helped. If you have any other questions or need any other help, just let me know. I'm so excited for all the new Champagne Girls to be getting together to have some fun!! I'm anxiously awaiting your pictures.:cutie::cutie:

Annie

Those dresses are gorgeous.

Saturday morning here now, thinking about taking the kids to Seaworld for the day, waiting to see what the weather decides to do, it just can't make up it's mind at the moment....

I so wish I could just go to Seaworld for the day. I think I would be there on every day off.

They are silicone bands as thin as rubber bands formed into different shapes, that have enough memory to return to their formed shape when you take them off. There are some designs that are large enough for an adult to wear, but some of the smaller designs can be a bit tight.

Silly Bandz is the main brand around here,

but there are tons of knock off brands (groovy bands, etc.) Disney just licensed a line of Disney character and Princess bands made by Forever Collectible.

Apparently we have the first shop in UK dedicated to Silly Bands just opened by me!
Will have to have a look at what it's all about next time I'm shopping :)

Whereabouts are you, Andrea? We're just north of Fredericksburg (I used to commute to Falls Church and put 320,000 on my old Camry).

We slept through the quake this morning, but saw it on the news once I woke and saw all the facebook posts about it. There was actually a 4.5quake on December 9, 2003 at just before 4pm that struck 20-30 miles west of Richmond that we felt in our Tysons Corner office. That one didn't get nearly the press of this one, but this one was a bit more local.
.

We're in Reston. I did the commute into DC for 12 years but now I teach part time for Fairfax County Family Services at various locations; I also teach two water aerobics classes a week at Herndon Community Center. My husband (semi-retired) has a consulting office in Falls Church but mostly works from home. The traffic in this area is crazy and the rail construction to Dulles is making it worse, although once it's done will be a blessing.

I slept through the quake but it woke my husband up-said things were rattling on the dresser.

I'm hoping for great weather and smooth sailing across the Atlantic!

Andrea

Hello all....my DW asked me to ask the experts....on the 5 sea days crossing the atlantic....how is the weather going to be? I know it is not the Caribbean....but will it be in the 70's? She wants to decide what to pack and she was curious how it will be....
Thanks.....
Tom

We were on the 2007 WBTA, and we crossed the Atlantic with warm, sunny weather and amazingly calm seas. We are hoping it's the same this time, but know that was NOT the norm, and we were lucky.

Here are some pictures of the calm sea during the crossing:

THANK YOU! Your information is wonderful! I will contact DCL on Monday to see what's what! Although I have had several pm's from girls who already have their boa's.....so boa's are in! I'l bring my rolly sticky thingy that picks up hair off of clothing to do a quick pick up of pink fuzzies!

That's what I'm hoping for, but I believe that was unusual!!!

I actually did commute to Reston (Wiehle Ave.) for 2 yrs. Coming from where I live it really stunk.

We didn't feel the quake at all.

I'm w/you on the calm seas, but I'm bringing the Bonine nevertheless!

Good morning, all! Hope you are having fabulous days, or had fabulous days for those of ...

Just got interrupted by my nice neighbour to tell us that our dog was out and about. She's a standard poodle, and a real suck. Her name is Georgie. Anyways, back gate shut, dog back in the house, and I'm back.

... you in different time zones.

It's hot and sunny today, and we are trying (in vain) to clean the house and pack for camp tomorrow. I'm going to be a camp nurse for the week at a children's sleepaway camp, and the whole famn damily is coming with me. No cooking or cleaning for a week! The kids will swim, do crafts, horseback ride, etc. We get a nice cabin to ourselves. Being the Taurus that I am, I am nervous of unknown situations, so I am a bit anxious today.

Almost done my packing for our cruise - I think I have too many nice clothes. They pack light though, so I may just bring them and see what I feel like wearing for dinner. I'd like to change out of day clothes into something nice for dinner, but nothing too fancy. I'm splitting our packing into Barcelona bags and Cruise bags so that most of our suitcases can remain closed while in Barcelona. We are going to be doing laundry in the first few days of the cruise, for sure. The logistics of packing for 5 people is a bit daunting, especially when you can't go back home! Add to that a 3 yr old who is potty training....

I have also completed our budget and my fingers have been flying searching prices for attractions in the ports etc so I can accurately give a budget. Food is stymying (sp?) me but we are ballparking high. We don't tend to buy a lot of souvenirs and are limiting the kids to $75 each for the 3 weeks (not the little one). That seems reasonable and gives them some purchasing experience? I am prepaying my MC so wanted to end up at home debt-free, so needed to calculate how much to apply in advance, and needed to know how many euros and US$ we need. It's all a bit complicated, no? Anyways I am done and feel good about our budget being liveable but responsible.

Off topic, but DH and I are planning on buying a class C motorhome next year. We want to drive to California, Utah, Arizona, Montana (taking a month+ - it's about 5000+ kms each way). We also want to return to the Canadian East Coast again (about 5000km return), and back down to DW (about 5000km return also). So with 3 big trips planned in the next 6 years, as well as our love for camping locally, we are thinking it would be a great thing for us. I can't imagine taking the huge drive to California in our minivan - my ears and um, butt, (or nose, really!) couldn't take 5 or 6 of us in a van for that long, even if we took it slow. It is a dream to show my kids the lower 48 plus the Canadian provinces - all of them. We have done about 12 US states so far by road, and 4 Canadian provinces. If you can't torture kids with roadtrips when they are young, everyone loses out!
Anyone out there have a class C?

Saturday, 40 hours to go on shift,:scared1:
What would I do with out you guys?

We will keep you company Lynne. Hope you don't have any very poorly patients.

The ocean in May 2007 TA.....a few wild sea days.

Yes, I think you had it worse than the WB, but this year the EB was calm i believe. I will keep hoping.

That is so exciting.

Angie(Mrs Mork) and Dennis have a large motorhome. I'm sure she would love to talk about it, even if it isn't the same size.

I guess if you are going to show yours I should show mine.

Here is my formal night dress and shoes. I just need to accessorize with maybe a mink stole, a cowbell necklace and tiara.
