I guess if you are going to show yours I should show mine.

Here is my formal night dress and shoes. I just need to accessorize with maybe a mink stole, a cowbell necklace and tiara.

Beautiful!!

Hello all....my DW asked me to ask the experts....on the 5 sea days crossing the atlantic....how is the weather going to be? I know it is not the Caribbean....but will it be in the 70's? She wants to decide what to pack and she was curious how it will be....
Thanks.....
Tom

Well Im not expecting it to be warm to be honest and think I there will be a cold wind at the very least. I will be taking 1 warm cardi and hope I don't need to wear it.

I guess if you are going to show yours I should show mine.

OOOO, gorgeous! I will have to live vicariously through you all; no fancy dresses for me (too short, too fat, and too old to do them any justice).

DD, Katrina, just landed in DC and will be calling me after they get thru customs. Hopefully the weather will hold out and they will be in New Orleans by 11:50pm....then another 2 hour drive home. I will be picking her up around 2:30am.....she is alot closer than she was :)

That's great news. I'll bet you'll be relieved when she finally gets home.

Talk about freakish weather! We are in Northern Virginia (near Washington, DC) and this year we have had the snowiest winter, the hottest summer-almost 100 again today-and an 3.6 EARTHQUAKE this morning! :scared1: I've lived here all my adult life and have never heard of an earthquake in this area. Next thing you know, it'll be raining cats :ccat: and dogs :goofy:

Andrea

Whereabouts are you, Andrea? We're just north of Fredericksburg (I used to commute to Falls Church and put 320,000 on my old Camry).

I guess if you are going to show yours I should show mine.

I laughed so hard I almost fell off my chair! Thanks for the giggle. We need more cowbell!!

OK People! Anyone heard of Silly Bandz? I've got some for FE gifts as found them and they looked cool but didn't know if anyone actually knew what they were? Thinking I may need to add a note to the FE bags

Silly Bandz are so popular! The Disney ones are so cute! I actually had a little girl at the Disney Store give me one of her Silly Bandz after I rang up her purchase! It was a crown! :)

That was the dress my bridesmaids wore in my wedding! I love that dress! Granted, the girls wore burnt orange but it's the same dress! :)

I didn't know you had worked at WDW. Did it take away some of the Magic working there?

I loved working at WDW. I worked with the characters - I was the person who said that Mickey needed to run inside to check on Pluto. It was an amazing job and I can truly say I worked with a bunch of characters. Did it take some of the Magic away - not at all. When I see Mickey on stage - that is Mickey! It didn't matter what happened or what I saw backstage, when I see a character, that is THE character.

I had a nice day at the outlet mall. My big purchase was a pair of shoes for the cruise. Believe it or not, they are Crocs, but dress shoes. They are so nice and comfortable and only weigh 6 ounces together! So happy that they will take up very little space/weight in my suitcase! I also bought Pirate Mad Libs for the plane ride over - I need something to distract me! LOL!!!

Today is a happy/sad day for me. It was a year ago since I lost my job, but it was also a happy day because it was also the day I met my DH four years ago. :lovestruc It makes me smile everytime I think about our first day. :goodvibes

I found a picture that was taken during my time working at WDW. This was taken in Toontown in the Hall of Fame. It was one of the few times that Mickey would leave the Judge's Tent to come over and visit.

I was so young there...This was either 2002 or 2003...and thin... LOL!!!! :lmao:

I LOVE this! And....I just may know Chip...or Dale....;)

I contacted Wachovia today and they said if we use the debit card there is a 3% fee as well as a $5.00 fee for each transaction.
They do not have a debit card for international use.
Their exchange rate today was 1.3588 and a 15.00 fee.

However,

Bank of America does have a Debit card for international use. And ther is a 3% fee

Their exchange rate today was 1.3603 and no fee

Capitolone does not charge any fees for purchases.
Cash advance is 3% or minimum of 10.00. Interest starts that moment till you pay it off. There is a 400.00 max per 24 hour day. You also do not earn points.

We are going to take cash with us. We did it the last time as well. I just divide it up for each tour/excursion in envelopes. We also have a pouch that goes inside your shirt and it holds ID, Passport and cash. I wish whom ever the best of luck if they think they will get inside my shirt to get my cash. I will no doubt be sleep deprived and I am certain I am not the most pleasant person to mess with. :confused3 It must be the latin blood and the New Yorker in me.;)

That make we glad i have Schwab account. The exchange rate is $1.2965 for today. and no fees. That for the credit or debit card. The debit card will also also has free atm withdraw worldwide.

Andrea

We slept through the quake this morning, but saw it on the news once I woke and saw all the facebook posts about it. There was actually a 4.5quake on December 9, 2003 at just before 4pm that struck 20-30 miles west of Richmond that we felt in our Tysons Corner office. That one didn't get nearly the press of this one, but this one was a bit more local.

How cute! I can't keep straight how many different versions of the disney ones they have. I just buy when they're on sale, so we got the Princess version 3 ones last week.

I hired Mickey one time. One of the accounting grads I hired while in Memphis had been a cast member and she had apparently just became Mickey shortly before she left.

Glad you can focus on the positive aspects of the day! My DH is still looking for work over 1.5 years from being laid off.

They are silicone bands as thin as rubber bands formed into different shapes, that have enough memory to return to their formed shape when you take them off. There are some designs that are large enough for an adult to wear, but some of the smaller designs can be a bit tight.

Silly Bandz is the main brand around here,

but there are tons of knock off brands (groovy bands, etc.) Disney just licensed a line of Disney character and Princess bands made by Forever Collectible.

Oooo I love the Disney ones - I'm guessing you can buy them at Walmart or somewhere similar? I might need to get some ;)

I will swap you a cow bell for they boots:teacher:

LOL...well the pond is outside and the cat is inside.....besides the cat is a piggy and I don't think she could budget her meals very well-----she'd eat all the fish in the first 2 days!

Yes, we were on the EBTA in '07

Have you tried automatic feeders?? we have 3 cats and 2 birds, we use automatic feeders for the cats and 2 large dishes for the birds. Then only need someone to change the litter box every other day. Okay that is what the real problem is. Maybe we should invest in a automatic liter box too? idea :wizard:

This was Thursday's heat... not that uncommon here:scared1:

Annie:cool2:

I think we reached half that this week!!;):lmao: Oh, and it IS summer here.:rotfl2:

(Must add we have had a bit of a heat wave a few weeks ago, but it has gone now. So I really mustn't grumble, but I will!!)

I have seen them over on one of the FE threads, I haven't seen then here yet, we'll catch up up a few years :rotfl: I think we're in your FE group, my girl will love them....they'll be trendsetters a home! :goodvibes

Read some article that said by Christmas these will be huge in the UK so hoping that the kids love them!

OK all ye scrappers... depending on how we are with luggage weight, I am planning to bring a bunch of disney stuff that is left over from finishing out my books since I am changing to digital... No guarantees as to what will be left, but I think i will have a ton of paper and a good bit on stickers/embelishments.

My Becca loves them - will wear about 100 at a time... It is an illness I think, much like DIS... She sees them and begs for more... She has some that glow in the dark - but she gave most of those to friends, and now she wants more of those, plus the disney ones, plus the morphing ones...

She even had large ones that wen't over her case... now she wears them on her ankles...
.

LOL well I hope she likes the ones I've ordered. Having never actually seen them other than in the picture they had it was hard to decide which to get but the UV ones sounded cool!
