Sept 18 2010 WB TransAtlantic Pirates/Capt Jacks Re-Repoing Repossession Cruise Pt.7

Been MIA, but as those that have known me a long time, July is my December. I go down for a breathe and resurace towards the end. Been busy, busy, busy. But I am one step closer to freedom, my youngest got her permit, she should be starting behind the wheel soon and I am that much closer to partying. OK - not until Jan but at least its a step.

I've also started (along with a group of friends) the C25K program on my phone and let me tell you, it seems to be working. Still on Week1 Day 3 but next week I start my week 2. Hoping I can stick with it.

I know that I've missed a lot but someone tell if I missed anything of importance. Oh yeah, spent the 4th celebrating in Vegas and DH won some $$ so working on something that I don't want to spill just yet. Haven't gotten airfare so I must work on that along with rooms. Can y'all tell I'm a procrastinator.

Pam, now show us the dress with you in it? I still haven't gotten a formal but a little bird told me that Nordstrom has a sale going on. Hm, maybe its time to visit the new Nordstrom wing at Cerritos Mall. Um, decided I may forgo the DCL Dooney (especially if they are out of them) for the DL 55th. I'm not going tomorrow, won't fight the lines but will go during the week to the parks to see if I can find them. In the meantime, I have to clean out my purse closet. Really Pam, I wish you were closer to me, maybe you could be my cleaning fairy. I suck at cleaning out my closet. Girls are better at it than I am.

Anyway, just popped in as the heat is unbearable here in SoCal. Its about 98 degrees and even too hot for the pool. So glad DH didn't turn onthe heater as the sun has done a fair job of heating it nicely. Had some freakish weather last night. About 6:20 it was 90 degrees. Still the same about 7:30 but a full rainbow (with me under it ) and about 9:20 some raindrops. Didn't lose power like some friends did but it got breezy real quick and then about 10 it got hot again.

So, that's about it - sounds like my bell just went off. Hopefully I will be back in a bit.

I am in your parents group and VERY excited!

The dresses are just gorgeous. I love them all. The villian purple dress is so great and so appropriate. Purple is the best color for villian night. If my husbands business takes off before the cruise, maybe I will buy a purple dress.

eeyorelvr10 - Nordstrom is my fave store - let me know if you find a great dress!!! I can live vicariously through you!

Oh yeah, I can post pictures, dang that's the other site. I'll have to upload them here. Oh well, I will probably shop sometime this weekend. Bday's coming up.

Way to go on the lbs. I've decided that I don't care if I lose any #'s (I do but I have to trick my brain) what I really, really want is to up my cardio level so that I don't die if I have all day tours or trekking to do. I'm a bit worried about some excursions on some future cruises I may have planned. I about died in Peru but I blame that on altitude sickness. At least I can say I did walk it and even made it up to the Moon Gate.

OK - bell definitely went off. I'll be back (said in Arnold's voice)

A friend of mine has lived in Barcelona and she told us there's a huge grocery store near/at the Ramblas.
We are already planning on buying all the stuff we need for DS Simon (diapers & stuff) there and NOT bring it with us on the flight to Spain. Which saves us weight.

We will be hitting the supermarket too - just because I love, love, love checking them out in foreign countries. That was the highlight of our "walking tour" in Aruba. It was so interesting. I'm planning on buying chocolates in each stop too so that will be #1 on my list of things to do

Also we'll probably grab some snacks and drinks and maybe breakfast bars for our time in Barcelona. Something so we can grab and go.

I just extended our stay at WDW two more days thru Oct 11, flying home on the 12th, and I booked our flight home. Only one more priceline hotel and I think I am done and ready to go.

Yay, more time at Disney! We are staying through the 12th too - then onto DL for 3 days park touring.

When we bring candy into Spain, are we allowed to have it in our carry on or do we need to check it? I thought someone said that we cannot bring food in, is candy considered food? I know Sarah wants those coconut M&M's!

Should be fine. NZ is one of the strictest places in the world to bring stuff into and they allow most packaged foods including candy/chocolate. We even x-ray all bags after customs for fresh produce and meat. Its the last step before they release you into the great outdoors.

OK People! Anyone heard of Silly Bandz? I've got some for FE gifts as found them and they looked cool but didn't know if anyone actually knew what they were? Thinking I may need to add a note to the FE bags

Heard of them and seen pics but never seen them in person - but they look fun. I'd be the one in our group that would wear them

Task for the weekend was to update the notes for our house sitter - can tick that off the list - yay!

Hello all....my DW asked me to ask the experts....on the 5 sea days crossing the atlantic....how is the weather going to be? I know it is not the Caribbean....but will it be in the 70's? She wants to decide what to pack and she was curious how it will be....

Talk about freakish weather! We are in Northern Virginia (near Washington, DC) and this year we have had the snowiest winter, the hottest summer-almost 100 again today-and an 3.6 EARTHQUAKE this morning! I've lived here all my adult life and have never heard of an earthquake in this area. Next thing you know, it'll be raining cats and dogs

From what I can understand they are like bracelets but they are different shapes - like an elephant for example - and then they stretch into a bracelet. When you take them off they return to their set shape!

They are silicone bands as thin as rubber bands formed into different shapes, that have enough memory to return to their formed shape when you take them off. There are some designs that are large enough for an adult to wear, but some of the smaller designs can be a bit tight.

Silly Bandz is the main brand around here,

but there are tons of knock off brands (groovy bands, etc.) Disney just licensed a line of Disney character and Princess bands made by Forever Collectible.

OK all ye scrappers... depending on how we are with luggage weight, I am planning to bring a bunch of disney stuff that is left over from finishing out my books since I am changing to digital... No guarantees as to what will be left, but I think i will have a ton of paper and a good bit on stickers/embelishments.

Sarah! My DD will think you are the best for the Silly Bandz - she wears 100 of them on her arm. LOVES THEM! She will only wish you were in our FE group! I think, most kids, at least in Florida, think they are the greatest thing ever! You did well!!!

My Becca loves them - will wear about 100 at a time... It is an illness I think, much like DIS... She sees them and begs for more... She has some that glow in the dark - but she gave most of those to friends, and now she wants more of those, plus the disney ones, plus the morphing ones...

She even had large ones that wen't over her case... now she wears them on her ankles...

Andrea, we used to live in Laurel MD - and I remember a quake way back then... We have had 2 or 3 here in Atlanta, and I remember a few while growing up outside of Chicago.

From what I just researched the weather should be cool in the evenings and the seas maybe rough at times. The variable is that it is hurricane season.

When we did the WBrepo in 2007. It was in late August and it was warm. In fact It was hot at castaway.
