Well if you guys want to get together for a DIS dinner in Cleveland, let me know! I'll drive up and join you! My family lives half way between Columbus and Cleveland plus my best friend since kindergarten lives in the Cleveland area, so I wouldn't have to have a long drive home late at night.

Anytime! My hotel is on the east side in the Beachwood area so I'm really familiar with all the restaurants in that area but I'm willing to drive out of my comfort zone and try something new also.

Anyone recognize this one? ;)

Fingers crossed, fingers crossed Let's hope it works.

YES! I REMEMBERED!!!!!!

That's hysterical!! Of course, I'm trying to become less curvilicious right now and I'm in fact having a glass of wine right now to celebrate losing my 1st 5lbs tonight at my WW mtg!! (not in 1 week mind you) Ten more and I'll be back where I was 2 years ago on the EBPC! :woohoo:

Kimmy, don't sell yourself "short". As my 5' 1/2 inch DD says (remember, we give her that 1/2 inch) Great things come in small packages and if all else fails, do what she says - "I Bite Ankles" :lmao:

:rotfl: Laura, if I even reached 5 feet I wouldn't have to sell myself so short! :rotfl2:

I think there is a campfire song about a honeymoon night and by the time the new wife removed her false eye lashes, wig, extra "padding", etc, there was more of her on the chair than in the bed so that's where her husband slept:rotfl:

I think your talking about After the Ball was over.

After the ball was over
Mary took out her glass eye
Stood her peg leg in the corner
Washed off the paint and the dye
Put her false teeth in some water
Hung up her hair on the wall,
That's all that was left of poor Mary, they say,
After the ball.

So now we just have to hope that there isn't a fire drill at night. We may not be able to recognize eachother! :scared1:

Just had a nice chat with Michael at DCL. He and his wife will be traveling with us and they are doing the 10 Med right before. Turns out I've traveled with him before but didn't know it as he was on the 2007 WBTA and the 2008 EBPC.

Todd, he asked about you and Destin.

Here are the dates he gave me for the theme nights. This has been pretty consistent from DCL lately.

Formal
Day 3, Sept 20, Gibraltar
Day 8, Sept 25, Sea

Semi Formal
Day 13, Sept 30, Sea

Pirate
Day 9, Sept 26, Sea

Theme (which he didn't have any info on and said usually theme means pirates, but we have a listing for that already)
Day 7, Sept 24, Sea

He also said that DCL has been offering a lot of cast member and military deals on this and the Med cruise. While we are now past the cancellation penalty date and no discounts help us, this does bode well for free upgrades.

Hi Mike , Yes i know who he is ....he will be on the Med as well along with his wife and I believe daughter :confused3

Thankyou!!

You're most welcome! Sounds like we have a Mickey Mouse Club and a Spanx Club "meets" brewing!

....I'd like to know too. Maybe a CM could tell us closer to the date?

I hate to deflate your hopes, but I'm pretty certain that due to security concerns for the kids, DCL won't provide that information over the phone or email.

Congrats on the 5 pounds!!!

Then let's plan it! Sparky, are you and your DW in with us? Can you handle two Kimberly's at once? If so, your DB Grumpy57 and his DW should join us as well!

you made me chuckle.

Any of you guys bringing a mankini:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

When I ran the great north run, a man ran past me in nothing but a mankini, I kept up with him for 4 miles:lmao: my best half marathon time ever:thumbsup2

I was laughing so hard when I read this. On our last cruise, we were with some of our best friends, and my husband bought the green mankini as a joke. Our stateroom host and friends laughed so hard when my husband held it up and said he was going on Deck 4 to run. It was worth the Amazon price of $9.99 as a joke. We still talk about it - it hangs proudly in the closet, but he has not worn it.

Hey everyone----

I know I haven't been on the boards in a few days....my family (mom, dad, sister, brother-in-law, and 11 month old niece) have been visiting me and Jason for the past week and so I haven't really been online much....but I logged on today and there are almost 50 pages of new posts!! Unfortunately there is NO WAY I can read all those and catch up (and besides while I'm trying to catch up I"m sure you'll all post another 20 pages!! :lmao::lmao:)

I know I have a handful of PM's to respond to and I'll get to those later this evening. Otherwise if you think there's been something on here in the past 4 or 5 days that I really need to know or that I missed...someone please repost it OR send me a PM!!

I consider it a reason to celebrate! (by overeating!! :rotfl2:)

I fly up tomorrow and work Fri thru Wed (Jun 25-30) from 7-7. I'm working at University Hospital in University Circle so if it's anywhere near there I can meet by 7:30 / 8:00 otherwise it would take me a little while to get there. Then I'm back up July 5 working the 6-9. So just let me know what works for you! So exciting!!!!! :dance3:

LOL...you sort of remember...but you're forgiven -- it's been a long two years. Michael and I (Susan, his wife--remember we met at Philly airport headed to BCN 3 years ago!!) will be on the BTB with their friends and THEIR daughter. And we all are VERY excited!!!
See you real soon

I am calling tomorrow! I have enough points! I could save some $$$ and use it for Bingo or a massage. THANK YOU!!!

338 points was for a CAT 10 but I think the CAT 11 was an even better deal!! However, there was none available when we booked. Also, we booked while on board our May 2009 cruise so I think there might have been a small point discount for rebooking on board. Just wanted to give you a heads up!
Regardless, the points are still reasonable compared to most of the others and we had some extra developers points to use up so why not!!!

MY DW and I are wait-listed for a suite, but I'm concerned about the cost. I suspect that a one-bedroom would probably run about $9,000+

Does anyone know what a one-bedroom goes for? I want to be mentally prepared to say yes or no if one becomes available.

Thanks!
Richard

It *IS* a reason to celebrate, and a glass of wine isn't a terrible way to splurge!

Yikes. Twelve and eighteen hour days. YUCK! It sounds like June 25-30 would be best then if we're looking at the immediate future, right?! I'll PM you so we can make arrangements! I'm so excited!!

Wow, I did not get to get on here today at work and am I paying for it now. I skimmed, as best I could.

Now that I am doing I cannot remember what I was going to ask.. I will be back later or better yet, tomorrow.

!

You may be right but they do disclose for ABD .... It is idle curiosity for me so not needed or anything.

Somebody was asking earlier about access to sites with a wheelchair or walker. I just found the following info for Gibraltar:

Easy Access Facilities for Disabled Persons in Gibraltar

Some of the areas of Gibraltar, as you might imagine, can be a little harder for the disabled or wheelchair bound person to get around in, with some of the areas of uneven ground or small slender steps being a challenge to access, but there are quite a few which have been made at least partly accessible for the visitors who are physically challenged.

The Government of Gibraltar is taking every step they can to meet the special needs of some of the visitors to Gibraltar, still some of the attractions of Gibraltar, given their natural leanings, can't be made to be fully accessible to the individual with special needs.

For this reason, and to compensate for the lack of complete accessibility, the Tourist Board of Gibraltar offers free access to disabled people who come to the Upper Rock. Additionally some of the older areas of Gibraltar town will not meet with your needs so its advisable to check with the Tourist board prior to visiting a given area with a wheelchair or special needs.

Some of the tourist attractions of Gibraltar which are accessible on any level have been listed below for your convenience.

Easy Access Areas:

•Apes Den, has clear access to special needs.
•World War II Rock and Fortress Tunnel Tour has good access.
•Gibraltar Arts and Crafts Exhibition also offers good access as well as lifts to upper floor.
•Shrine of Our Lady of Europe offers good access with a ramp at the entrance of the shrine.
•Alameda Botanical Gardens is completely accessible.
•John Mackintosh Hall, which is a library and cultural center has good access, along with lifts to the first floor of the center.

Some Access with moderate difficulty:

•St Michaels Cave, offers access to the entrance, bridge and the steps.
•Great Siege Tunnels offers access about half way, however there are steep hills and a set of steps to clear.
•Military Heritage Centre, is moderately difficult due to the ground being somewhat uneven.
•Nelsons Anchorage has access only to the exhibition. The actual gun access is difficult due to the narrow corridors and the steep steps that lead to the gun.
•Gibraltar Museum can offer access only to the lower floor.
•Alameda Wildlife Park is partly accessible to special needs, as it contains some steps which may be difficult to navigate.
•Trafalgar Cemetery will permit access to some areas of the cemetery.
•Gibraltar Crystal Factory offers a step into the factory, but help is provided by the factory staff.
•Flat Bastion Magazine is only accessible in part due to narrow corridors to navigate.

Very Difficult Access Areas:

•The City under Siege Exhibition is hard to access due to its steep steps and a very heavy door.
•The Moorish Castle Access will be difficult due to the narrow corridors that it offers as well as the steps.
•The Gibraltar Cable car requires the navigation of several flights of steps, making it a difficult access area.
•Parson’s Lodge is difficult due the several flights of stairs as well as some uneven pathways.

WOW thank you so much maybe you should apply to work for Disney cause they have sure been no help :)

Does anyone know whether we can check our account balance before we board? I think I was offered an OBC when I booked on board, but don't remember, and don't know how much it was. I think it had something to do with being excited at the time.... :woohoo:

I've also been following some of the discussion on the fuel surcharge, and would like to know if we're getting a credit or not. The instructions say "To see if you are eligible for the onboard credit, go to My Disney Cruise on or after the determination date. Retrieve your reservation and view the Invoice Information under Reservation Details." But I can't find "Reservation Details" anywhere, and so can't check. Where do I look? :confused3

Thanks!
Richard
