Yeah, moms can be like that. My mom used to call me the "Host*ss with the most *$$." Sweet, no? Oh, and another momism: when I had twins (back in prehistoric times), I opted to nurse them; she decided to call me "Dairy Queen." It's funny now, but at the time, not so much. Never one to hide her thoughts, my mom.

Oh dear! I think I would definately not be talking to my Mum if she kept saying that! I was annoyed enough about the single but comment! I'm sure Mums have this weird sense of humour where to them its hilarious!

If you are interested, send me a PM with names and I will add you to the list. I am going to post a listing of those interested in the next few days to see if people who were have PM'd still want to do the tour.

I wish we could do this too Noel, it sounds wonderful......maybe another time :thumbsup2

If anyone was thinking about going to the Natural Science Museum (Zoological and Geological Museum). They are closed for renovations.

I guess I am back to planning.

oh thats a shame! :(

Hi all....we are leaving tomorrow for our TA on the Epic, so I'll me MIA for about a week. I know when I get back, I'll have a ton of pages to read. I'll try to check in tomorrow before we leave.

Have a fab time! We were booked on that cruise too but changed it to this cruise instead in the end!:)

Still no hearing aid. I did finally get a hold of a supervisor at Six Flags today. He wasn't really sympathetic and advised me to go ahead and purchase a new hearing aid. To which I advised him to mail me the $2k and I would. I also talked to his audiologist who suggested that for the insurance claim possibly he 'lost' both hearing aids since she's been wanting to change him to a different model anyway.

Thats not good, hope you get it sorted

I cannot go a day with out you, To all who do not know she is the BEST SISTER in the WORLD...
(No she did not force me to say that)
I hear all about the trip and the planning that goes on but play my games anyway. Now I got to tend to my farm she just went to bed. Night all ;)

Sisters are the best!

Great news on finding your dress .... I have been checking out Ebay for formal number 2 but not come up with anything so far. At the moment I am about 2 inches too wide for my existing formal and semi formal, so I hope to lose enough weight to fit into them, otherwise I will have to leave the zip open and wear a shrug :rotfl:

:lmao::lmao:

Well, I actually googled the words and a Flimmer cleaner is an industrial air cleaner. So it could be that Lynne was at work at the vet hospital and they have one of these that takes all the dirt and dust out of the air etc. so, if it isn't working she would have to wet mop!!! Perhaps??

well, you learn something new every day! :thumbsup2

Our daughter nursed her twins up to 6 months(ish). Boy, It was hard as she also had 2 very active little boys aged 3 and a few months, and the other 21 months when they were born!!! Goodness, I stress just thinking about it. I think she just wanted to give them the best chances etc, though they were good sized babies.(7 lbs 10oz and 7 lbs 8oz!!!:scared1::scared1::scared1:) Bless her, she is only 5 ft 2" and looked like a jam donut!!!

well done to your dd! :worship:

Spanx are exactly what you thought, I think Trinny and Susannah brought out a similar range in the UK. I need one that goes from my ankles to my neck to stop the dreaded flab overflow! :rotfl2:

:lmao::lmao:

I'm also working on losing weight, but man, is it tough. I *should* lose 70 lbs, but would feel absolutely terrific losing 40. It is so hard to get the exercise in that I need, and I always feel starving when I cut back calories. It really isn't easy. However, as I get more towards my 40s I am concerned for my health and want to kick the overweight thing ASAP. Did I mention it wasn't easy?!? I don't have the self-discipline to eat really well all the time (but I am not a pop-drinker, or a junk-food addict, in fact, we eat pretty well, just too much and too often) and my job makes it impossible to always eat stuff from home. I don't have the self-discipline to exercise when I don't want to, which is most of the time :rotfl: I guess I gotta get me some self-discipline, honestly!

Oh I am sorry. You have my empathy. That sounds like an awful day.

Thanks! All its done is made me not want to loose any weight at all and stuff my face so probably not helpful lol. Im 121kg now so have loads to loose - well actually my ideal weight is meant to be 72kg! In pounds I think I should be around the 160lb mark and I'm 266lbs! Wow that sounds scarey doesn't it? so I have around the 100lb mark to loose although I think if I lost that amount I would look ill as I don't look huge now! That's 11 stone! Oh my God Im scared now!

Sarah - I cannot believe your doctor told you that!!! I am sending you hugs. Sometimes they just cannot relate to the "normal" person and do not think of what their actions and language can do to us.

If you are taking a survey :lmao::lmao:- I like NY Pizza over Chicago!!! But you are right, Pinnochio's is much better with the view!

I have to say our doctors don't learn manners anywhere I've established.

We're here. I had to get a DIS board 101 class to learn how to reply. We are very excited about the trip!:woohoo:

Hiya! Welcome onboard. You may need to pm Eric & Jason as not sure if they're around this week and this post may get lost. Just post a few more times and you should be able to or one of us can pm them for you just let us know.

I know we have talked bras and undies - I was waiting for the spanx talk! I just got mine about 3 weeks ago and absolutely love it!! It sucks in everything. It is comfortable, but haven't tried it during dinner or even sitting down for that matter. My head might blow off:rotfl2::rotfl2:. For standing up and the "look" in the outfit, so worth it.

I've got a pair of pants that do this (they go up to my bra line) and they roll down every time I sit down! Its very annoying but they do look nice at least when Im stood up lol

Guess what finally came in the mail today????

My income tax refund check! Now I can pay off the credit card that I used to make the final payment on for the cruise! :yay::yay::yay:

I'm trying to figure out what to pack...for all of those who have done a TA before, would it be ok to wear capri pants or do you think I should bring long pants? Mind you, I don't get cold very often, I'm usually warm to hot all of the time. I know there is still time, but I figured I'd ask while I'm thinking about it. :)

Glad you finally got it! seems to have taken forever!

OMG!!!! We just booked this cruise today and I'm OVERWHELMED with all the information and activities on this thread! :scared1: Is it too late to get in on all this...Is there a summary somewhere or someone who can help condense all 168 pages of stuff to know...Help!

Really looking forward to this cruise. We love Barcelona! Gibraltar and Madeira will be new ports for us.

Andrea & Greg
Reston, VA
4th Disney Cruise

Hi Andrea & Greg. The first page of this thread is the best place for you to start - and worringly this is the 6th thread of info with each thread having like 250 pages on so definately start with page 1 of this thread as that has most of the important stuff.

If you want Lanyards you need to contact Eric & Jason (Tig82174) who should be able to sort that out. A kind group of individuals have donated money to allow us to get these free of charge which we are all very grateful for, and Eric (& Jason Im sure will be dragged in) are designing them for us. They have a limited supply but I'm sure there's still some left.

I'm Sarah (one of 3 on here so don't worry if you get confused as we all seem to be) and this is my 6th Disney Cruise. I'm travelling with my other half Dan and its his first so I'm sure it will be an adventure for him. We're from South Wales in the UK.

Oh and there is a roll call on the website you can sign up to:

Formal night - the blue gown posted earlier is so beautiful. How many formal nights? I am going to recycle my formal night clothes as well.. I do not get a chance to use them on land so I enjoy wearing them at sea. Like a princess on a make believe voyage. DH does not mind wearing the same suit. I thought it was fair.

Laundry, has anyone thought of the new product out. Purex they are sheets. DH has already bought 2 packages and that is what is packed. Got to love that man. He knows me well. Cannot come home with more than 2 days of dirty laundry.

He has only been on 4 cruises and reminds me daily. I have been on 6. I guess I should remind him of his Marine and Navy cruises. Noh that is not the same as sailing with me!!

From the looks of it we have 2 formal and one semi-formal.

LOL you've got another Gold tag along like me then? Dan hasn't been on any but he gets Gold status through me which is great for him!

Would love to see how FL pirates match up.

Still no hearing aid. I did finally get a hold of a supervisor at Six Flags today. He wasn't really sympathetic and advised me to go ahead and purchase a new hearing aid. Oh no! Hopefully you will be able to claim it. Have you phoned the insurance company yet?

Wow, how do you find time with Farmville and cafe world and pet world to pick up after me.;)

Thanks sis I really appreciate it. Thanks for letting rib you about Farmville. Not everyone appreciates my sarcasim. You at least have no choice, your stuck with me:rotfl2:

LOL don't forget Frontierland!

LOL! Its definately a mother thing!

When I can I start doing it, I'm a mother? :rotfl2:

Please don't, we love your openness and sense of humour!!!!:worship: This thread is just great, and we have such a lovely group of people going on this cruise!!:dance3:
Thanks and Ditto! :grouphug:

Don't listen to the silly numbers, Listen to your body, If you feel fit and healthy and are comfortable in yourself, who cares what number the scales say? ;)

That flab overflow has to go somewhere doesn't it?:lmao:

Yep, spanx aren't magic, it doesn't disappear, it just moves!

I've got a pair of pants that do this (they go up to my bra line) and they roll down every time I sit down! Its very annoying but they do look nice at least when Im stood up lol

Maybe you could shimmy them off under the table when you sit down for dinner? :rotfl2:

...it makes it al flow down to the bottom and gives you enormous ankles!:rotfl2:

They are called Cankles, where your calf flows straight into your ankle. :lmao:

We've discussed bra's, knickers and spanx, I think the boys will have to fess up soon........jocks or boxers? :rotfl2:

OK confession time - I skim read this way too much! I think I misread what "quote" we were referring to and took it as the "breaking a sweat". To be fair I did wonder why people didn't understand what it meant but now reading this I understand lol! See I was far too sleepy to come on the Dis last night! BAD SARAH

Your forgiven for skimming, It's easy to do when your facing 10 pages and know if you don't read them now there will be 10 more pages the next day! ;)
