I wonder how many Palo bookings people in concierge actually can book? That could be a part of the problem. For goodness sake, there are so many sea days this cruise there should be space for every cabin to have one of each booking, particularly considering many people don't even want to go to High Tea.
I suppose it wouldn't be fair if people who don't have internet access and can't book till on the cruise embarkation day didn't have any chance because it was only open for online ressies though.
A comment on the concierge bookings. I did not book ahead for anything for our 2007 NYE cruise as my concierge host told me on the phone I could get anything I wanted once on the ship. I was able to book all our excursions, spa times etc. once on board without exception once I was on the ship.
Now maybe that was just that particular cruise, but I rather doubt it.
We are a special group here on the DIS and I do know there is a whole lot of people who are on the ship who don't know about the DIS. However, that being said I wonder what the percentage of persons booking on the net versus on the ship may have something to do with the % that is allocated online.
It is much more in DCL's favor to have more excursions, Palo and Spa treatments shown online as they have a guaranteed revenue stream for if you cancel after the three day window, you are charged. It is just as easy to release those ressies if they are canceled and show them to be available again. Perhaps they have had too many people cancel at the last minute???

Just my thoughts...
