Sounds like your daughter's all set! I won't bring any of their Disney princess dresses as they find them itchy and don't like wearing them. I'll bring Minnie and Alice though. I'm not sure what the Little Adventure dresses are but I'm assuming they are ones that aren't itchy. They sound great!

The Little Adventures princess dress versions are incredibly comfortable, extremely soft, flexible, and not scratchy at all. They make acceptable versions to pass for real ones, at least in my opinion, and my daughter would live in them every day all day if I'd let her. Plus we have matching outfits for her Princess Bunny (they also fit Americal Girl sized dolls). Here are some of the dresses that we have. We also have the accessories (headbands, Snow White's cape, Cinderella choker etc.) which they also sell:

Are we supposed to bring our Mickey Ears too? :earboy2:

Guess I better add them to the packing list then :)

Me too :) I have Minnie ears on a headband, so that will be my variation.

We wore our ears on the first day of our last cruise, having just did our first family trip to WDW before it. Unfortunately only DH has the basic MMC ears, the rest of us chose to express our individual style.

This is the same picture we posted on the WBTA website I think. (When we picked up our pictures at Shutters the person there said, "Oh, you're the Mickey family!"):

Evening all!

Finally started cruise preparations this weekend. :sail:

I really need to get most everything done now, because I am not sure when I will be able to get back home again after I leave at the end of the month to help the folks move.

So we picked up some euros when we picked up the Canadian dollars at the bank. Of course the exchange rate improved the next day. Look for euro to plummet since I always pick the wrong time to do these things.

Also started to make a list of clothes that fit :scared1: I ordered a few things this evening. But I need to start the search for a bathing suit. None of the ones I have are suitable! popcorn:: (yes, perhaps too much popcorn!)

But glasses are the next thing on the list... eye doctor appt at ungodly oclock in the morning.

Night all!

You can purchase any of the D&B bags (except the cruise one) on the Disney Store website. It sure would be a lot easier than my daily search at DTD for them at WDW this past Christmas....

It certainly would be, however, I'm too "particular" :rotfl: to not hand pick one for placement of the images for some of the styles! ;)

I can relate to that--I couldn't tell you how many of the bags I had them get down for me before I picked mine;)

Wish I could get/stay caught up on here.

Have a nice night, ketchup when I can:)

I think I would cancel my pedicure for this bag. I love it, and I want it. Fingers crossed they will still have it on the ship when we get there. Last one to shop is a rotten egg.:cool1:

Another one to beat once we board. ;)

:lmao: My husband LOVES shopping..........NOT! He gets to tell me I look pretty and 'no baby, your bum doesn't look big', he gets to carry my bags and he gets to pay............What's not to love????:confused3

Can you fill the bottles with sand to keep them upright?

Doh! :headache:

Hey! Well, we can always introduce them and see if they get along considering we'll probably be bumping into each other in most of the stores. Especially if you like to go "candy" shopping. :lmao: (IE: For those that don't know me - I like to "acquire" a piece of candy from every new port or at least one port on every cruise - Diamonds International knows my DH by sight.) :rotfl2:

My DSis just called, upset. She is a 911 Dispatcher and just got off a call where a family lost a 2 year old little boy for 20 minutes at a park.

Thanks for letting me vent. Hug someone tonight and be thankful they are with you.

How awful. I hope your sister is ok soon and what a wonderful person she must be. I know myself, I COULD never hold it together enough to do that job. Kudos to the people who can and do the job.

I agree with you - but I will play devil's advocate and say that when my husband went for training in Phoenix regarding Emergency issues, he was told, not in uniform, try to avoid ANYTHING. Even if it is helping a samaritan, car accident, etc.. I know that sounds awful, but they said to him with so many people suing, it is better to stay away from anything that could become a "situation" I know that sounds horrible and I agree with you that more people need to be paying attention, but it goes back to the fact that why is it the responsibility of someone walking through the park and NOT the parents. What were they doing? I feel bad for your sis. I always say that I think the 911 operators have the toughest jobs. Being helpless in a way but yet helping. I guess that is what we have come down to in America. I cannot tell you how many times I see videos on TV of people walking over other people on the street that just had a heart attack or were attacked. It has me dumbfounded.

I have a friend who is an RN. She told me the same thing. They have been advised in situations where they CANNOT follow through to the very end, to not even tell anyone that they are nurses for the simple fact that people will sue them. While I totally understand that, I don't like it. And I hope that if the day ever comes, I have the willpower and the wisdom to do the right thing. I am  to say that I have let others influence me to walk away from something I was not comfortable with. However, I have also inserted myself into situations that I probably shouldn't have but always at the end feel happy that I did get involve. So its a toss-up with me. I can see both sides and I will continue to hope that wisdom will someday prevail.

On another note: we have had a pool at our house and each of my kids have always wondered why we don't have pool parties. Now, as the older two are adults, they now see why I was so selective about parties and having friends over. While they have not always seen eye-to-eye with me on this issue, at least the older ones are safety wise and know that things can happen in the blink of an eye. One thing I am happy for with my oldest son (who has been rather careless sometimes) is that fact that he's never thrown a wild party in the pool and thank God nothing has happened so far.

It certainly would be, however, I'm too "particular" :rotfl: to not hand pick one for placement of the images for some of the styles! ;)

LOL - Soul Sister!

I can relate to that--I couldn't tell you how many of the bags I had them get down for me before I picked mine;)

Wish I could get/stay caught up on here.

Have a nice night, ketchup when I can:)

It also has to "feel" right, right ladies?

I need to rant for a few minutes.

My DSis just called, upset. She is a 911 Dispatcher and just got off a call where a family lost a 2 year old little boy for 20 minutes at a park. They said a couple witnesses said they last time they saw him was at the edge of the water:scared1: My sister immediately dispatched water rescue. Unfortunately, the little boy was found and he had drowned. :sad2: :sad1: My rant comes from the fact that two witnesses said they saw him at the waters edge. WHY didnt they see if there was an adult with him? WHY didnt they stop him and redirect him back to his mommy? What a horrible thing to happen and to think if people just looked out for each other this might have been prevented.

I could go on about the parent, but that would be a whole other rant. I understand that all things happen for a reason, but today I just dont want to hear that. My thought and prayers go out to his family as they deal with this tragic loss. To all the rescue workers who found him and who will forever have that image in their brains and to my poor Dsis who feels helpless becasue she was not able to save this one.:sad2: No doube she will be hugging my grandchildren tomorrow, tight, as I will too.

Thanks for letting me vent. Hug someone tonight and be thankful they are with you.
Thats just terrible, I can mind my mum picked up a kid by the road once and police man told her most folks wouldnt bother cause of ALL The hassle and questions she was about to get.

It is incredible, you would think human nature would kick in. Same with folks driving around injured animals.

Can you believe it?!! We will all be doing the double-digit dance this week!!

:thumbsup2That's right!

:woohoo::woohoo:
I have 35 mins before I finish my 44 hour shift, got a good sleep last night though:rolleyes1.

Fairy liquid, washing up liquid.
I came of a drug I had been on for years and changed my eating/exercise habits, I have to say considering I lost over 8 stone I struggle every day with maintaining wt,dont know how I managed it really.

WOW ..... that is an amazing achievement. :worship::worship:
LOL at the fairy liquid :rotfl:

We never last time as far as I can mind, shame it was too windy, Is it just me or is anybody else about to burst with excitement as all the planning is getting so serious and so near to actually going, I looked at my rezy just then and it has been booked since nov 08:hourglass

I'm excited too ..... sometimes its all Tony and I talk about ....planning, planning, planning :goodvibes:goodvibes
To Sarah (TotallyAngellic)

I would like to send you a PM but your mailbox is full. Please PM me when I can send you a message.

Thanks,

Noel

Whoops .... have cleared a few out :thumbsup2

Thanks for that Marilyn :) It has never really appealed to me, though I do love Harrods champagne afternoon tea! I'd be worried I'd never have room for dinner after that tea!

I have not planned to book tea because I just don't think I would have room for it, or am worried that it might take the edge off dinner.

Anyhow, just checking in and saying thanks to all who donated/supported or asked about the AIDS Walk. We ended up with really great (a little muggy) weather for the walk and Jason and I walked at a nice brisk pace and finished walk of just over 3 miles in about 45 minutes...so a nice workout without killing ourselves.

The best news....the event (which was smaller than in years past becuase of some big organizational changes at my agency---which sponsored/benefitted from the event) brought in just over $52,000-----and I brought in almost $2900 of that myself---making me the top fundraising walker of the day and my team (which inlcluded 5 of my coworkers) the top fundraising team for the day.

Well done and congratulations! That is a fantastic achievement :thumbsup2 and a very worthwhile cause

I did something fun! I went and got new glasses! Here they are:

Love your new glasses Sarah :thumbsup2

Well today is the official start of my week off work and I have plans to do a lot of clearing out of all the clutter which has accumulated over the past few years. I plan to do a boot sale next weekend if the weather is decent.
Unfortunately this has coincided with Tony doing night shifts which means I need to be quiet in the mornings .... not great timing :confused3

Yesterday I did the Race for Life in aid of Cancer Research, and power walked 5km in 46 minutes .... beating my last time of 55 minutes. This got me to thinking that maybe I could power walk the Castaway Cay 5k run, as I am not a good runner. Tony is planning on doing the Castaway Cay 5k anyway, and he could always wait for me at the bar :rotfl: We are thinking of getting sponsored and raising money for the Dial-a-Dream Charity, which would make it all more worthwhile.

Would anyone else who is not a runner be interested in power walking the Castaway Cay 5k. Just a thought?

Only 4 days to go until we are double digit dancing :woohoo:

OMG, Too cute! They are great dresses! Love Princess Bunny too, is it a build-a-bear one? Looks similar to one of my daughters.

I like the 'individual style' ears! We buy a new pair of ears every Disney visit for the kids, But DH and I have never bought any for ourselves, I think we might this year. :thumbsup2
That reminds me, Do DCL have their own ears?

Also started to make a list of clothes that fit :scared1: I ordered a few things this evening. But I need to start the search for a bathing suit. None of the ones I have are suitable! (yes, perhaps too much popcorn!)

I have heaps of bathing suits that are 'suitable', It's just the body that isn't 'suitable'!!! :lmao:

I alway like to "acquire" a few nice things each international trip, 1 piece of candy, new handbag and shoes, lots of shoes!
I'm sure we will be bumping into you in the 'candy' stores. I know there is a Tiffany & Co I can drool at in St Maarten.:)
Now, where is Diamonds International, do I need to go?:goodvibes

Oh my goodness, I would have loved those! Wish they'd had the pink/purple ones when I had to get mine last year!:sad1:

:sad1: Oh dear, I paid nearly twice that just for my sunglasses at Specsave!

I am the bargain queen with glasses as have to have new ones every year. Usually I go for the £69 range so its 2 for 1 but this year got £85 ones. Had my lenses thinned as well which is now so much cheaper as has gone down to £40! Bargain!

Me likey too.

I like the bags too, though friends over here would think I had really gone raving bonkers!!!!:rotfl2:

I would like to think at that price they are the best quality leather, but in reality I'm guessing otherwise.;)

I need to rant for a few minutes.

That is so very sad. Who knows why the people didn't intervene. They will surely be asking themselves that too.

I do agree with this. It is a difficult decision at the time.

Well done on the run Sarah. Sorry I won't be joining you on a CC 5k power walk but I am too lazy!!

I have heaps of bathing suits that are 'suitable', It's just the body that isn't 'suitable'!!! :lmao:

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: That's me. I have been trying to find those nice skirted swimsuits I see over in the US. We do have some, but none seem just like those. Or, they are fashion frilly ones. :lmao::lmao::lmao: Also I have seen some skirted tankinis over there with longer tops which would be nice. Over here it seems all tankinis have shorter tighter tops so would show the not too nice midrift!!!!!!!

ohmygosh i can't catch up!
I'm still trying to read all of the last thread! :rotfl2:

and I missed the ENTIRE stuff about the shirts- including the deadline. :sad2:
Ohwell, guess it wasn't meant to be for us to have them.
Are they black this time? Don't tell me they are white... then I will really cry that we missed the deadline. If they are black, tell me- then I won't feel so bad about missing the deadline.
darnit! I knew I should keep up with this thread more now that we're getting closer to the date especially! I blame wwf, facebook and my kids. yeah, that's my story and I'm sticking to it. LOL

The other day I received a very sad message from Heather ( GOS ) one of our DIS cruisers, with some tragic news. This is the message I received:

"Sarah - it is with great sadness that I have to write and tell you that we will not be joining you all in in September. My husband passed away suddenly on Tuesday after a operation on his heart. I would be so greateful if you could you pass on this message to the people making all the arrangements for the activities on board.
Thank you - Heather "

I am sure Heather would have wanted all her DIS friends to know what has happened. Although we personally had never had the pleasure to sail with Rick and Heather, I know many of you did, and we were really looking forward to meeting them on the WBTA, especially after reading about many of their adventures on other trip reports. This sad and tragic news has come as a total shock, I guess you never think that something so terrible is going to happen to a fellow cruiser. Our hearts go out to poor Heather and her family
:hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug:

Thank you Sarah, so very sad. Love and thoughts to Heather and her family, and prayers at this terrible time for her.
