So, hopefully by the time we sail we will be whole - but as we have seen with Stephens wrist injury, things are not always simple...

Not me, but Becca broke her arm. clean break with a "buckle" of the radius. Not sure what buckle means, but she has 98 days to heal...

Poor little squirt, they splinted it today and the splint makes her keep her arm bent... She is miserable... I didnt have the heart to tell her that the sack may go above the elbow OR that it is likely that she will have it for the rest of her summer break...

Not another injury. Lucky bone fells faster the muscle. I know what she going through. Hope she fell well soon.

I have a question....we are still trying to figure out a hotel in Barcelona. What section of Barcelona is a good place to look at? We don't need to be close to the airport but we don't necessarily need to be that close to the port. We plan to do some sightseeing in Barcelona.

OK - not trying to make any money, but we got a real good deal (75 euro/nite) at the Holiday Inn City. We were then given 2 rooms at the Praktic from my mom. We had paid for the HI room so it will sit unused on the 16th and 17th.

If anyone wants a room that is near the subway/public transportation let me know.

Stephen, I thought of you yesterday when I thought it was a sprain... When it hurt not to be in an ACE wrap I knew it was more... I will need to get a photo of the two of you - both healed!! and enjoying the Magic!!!

Becca is a gymnast, and was on the trampoline. It is about 30 feet long, and 5 feet wide, and sites 2 feet or so above the ground. At the one end there is a hug soft mat. She was doing a routine and jumped off the trampoline onto the mat and then fell off the mat, turning her wrist...

She won't have a cast until tomorrow, but we will take her to the same doc that took care of Stephens broken foot. They claim that they can do the candy cane affect with the casts and Becca wants pink and purple.

On the positive side the kind of fracture she has is the least bad...
Torus fracture: Also called a "buckle" fracture. The topmost layer of bone on one side of the bone is compressed, causing the other side to bend away from the growth plate. This is a stable, nondisplaced fracture.
Treatment of a torus or buckle fracture is by casting the injury for a short duration, usually about three weeks.

So, hopefully she will be turning cartwheels before we head to the magic...

Oh - as for shipping to the port, I am not sure if it is cost affective or not, but I am going to take advantage of a work benefit and send an envelope over viaFedEx. Just magnets for te day we board... Since the upgrade is a surprise, we wantto see if they get it...

My only request is not to be in PC on formal night. To me that calls for Lumineres

This is where the challenge comes in. Rotation 3 is the only rotation where you are not in PC for one of the 2 formal nights, though you are there for semi-formal night and theme night (whatever that is). You are in Animator's on Pirate Night, which I can tolerate, though I prefer PC. For that reason alone, I'd probably prefer rotation 3. But as mentioned previously, none of them is perfect.

Give our love and hugs to Becca. I remember breaking my left arm in 5th grade where they had to splint it first in a soft type cast, and I had to keep it elevated (and the elbow was fixed in a bent position) for a week or two. I'm glad I wasn't old enough to drive a car, since everyone would have thought I was using hand signals to turn right. But it was a good and threatening weapon if any classmates gave me grief!

Hi Everyone I finally caught up. I started a new job on Monday, along with online classes.....

Poor little munchkin. I hope she (and mom and dad) get some rest tonight. If she wants to show off her candy cane, we can virtually sign it for her! I'm sure you'll learn more tomorrow, but it does sound encouraging that she will be on the mend and not miss out on pool time this summer!

Just to let you know that I sent Heather some flowers from the WBTA Cruisers yesterday because I just felt I had to do something. I know in the light of things it is a small gesture but I just wanted her to know we are all thinking of her.

Anyway .... she received them today and sent me this message:

A small aside, I love Glee and I'm a huge Sue Sylvester fan. I nearly wet myself the other week when she's talking to Kurt and she says "So you like show tunes. It doesn't mean you're gay. It means you're awful". I thought that was so funny!

Robert's Dad is gay - he didn't come out until about 4 years ago - quite a shock to everyone! All good now but there were a few rough times in there for the family.

Now if Robert annoys me, I just say "you are just like your father" - gets him in line straight away

There are no guarantees, but at least it's less likely that a printed copy of the e-mail could be picked up (or plucked out of the trash) with everything that a thief would need to use the card.

You are both so norty!!!! I tend to skim read when there are a whole load of pages, then find out I didn't read something properly that turned out to be important!!!

Lucky lady!! I wish I could find something I really love but no luck yet. Found a great pattern but don't sew. Sure miss the days when my mother or grandmother made my clothes. I just never learned how to sew.

Just my thoughts....

My mum used to sew everything. She was a machinist all her life and made men's trousers. Growing up she made just about all my clothes, coats etc, though wouldn't have been happy doing formal type clothing. She even did my alterations etc. I never felt I had the need nor desire to learn to sew, though when I was first pregnant I had a mad few weeks and made a pair of trousers and a lovely(I really have to say that) purple cape to wear. They were the fashion then, and it was great for a bump!! That was my sum total though. I can do hemming, but choose not to these days and send them to the local alteration service.
