Ok, I take a weekend off and there are 40 pages!

I am so sorry to hear about Heather's husband Rick. My thoughts and prayers go out to Heather and her family in their time of mourning.
This fuels my belief that we should spend as much time with our family and go on as many trips as possible. You never know when your time is up.

Erik, I'm inclined to agree with Sarah on this. Congrats on the fundraising!

For all you chocolate snobs, I happen to like Hershey's, now Nestle's chocolate is lousy.:rotfl2:

Sarah-Gismo,
Could you tell me the times for the St Martin Quad excursion? My DW and I want to take our 7 year old on this, but I also wanted to get to Mahalo beach to see the big planes come in in the afternoon while having a few drinks at the sunsetbeachbar.

I live about 40 minutes from Hershey. My hubby grew up on Hershey. He has admitted that recently they have made changes and it does not taste like it did years ago:lmao: I have to agree with him. It tastes different.

I can even remember touring the real plant and at the end getting a free bag of kisses. This was way back in 1969!!! :lmao:

Thanks for the ice!:cool1:

A/C guy was here by 1pm and done by 3! Grand total to fix the stupid fan and motor.... $950.00 :scared1:
Well... we paid nothing, we had the all wonderful warrenty:banana: cost : $O.oo Now for that good nights sleep

Lynn... we just have to meet up and see if we could wear the same size shoe! :worship: Next hand bags!:banana:

Thanks for this! Does anyone have an opinion as to which rotation would be better?

Thank you for clearing that up. It must be like our Cum Laude, Magnum Cud Laude and Suma Cum Laude then. What is the degree in? Is their a speciality? I have an undergraduate and then a graduate degree that specializes my field. Does that make sense?:confused:

I love learning about other cultures, so bear with me please.:worship:

Oh yes the system is different in the UK! DD now has a graduate degree - hers is a Bsc (hons) in Optometry. About 20% of the students on her course were from Canada for some reason? Anyhow the next stage for her is 18 months of pre registration training she will be an optometrist - should it all go to plan.

Looking forward to the CC walk :thumbsup2

In my opinion, I do not like Animator's Palate for dinner so LAP is not good for me because you get Animator's 5x's and it is also on the last night. I love Parrot Cay (probably in the minority) and Lumiere's is also a fave. I always get the LAP just because my DD is older so I think that is why. When we had our 1-year old little friend, we were in Parrot Cay the first night. I am going to request but what is the Captain Dining crew requesting since we are going to all link together - any ideas?

Wowza! I'm off for 13 hours, and I have 5 pages to catch up on!

Even though you didn't get your Mouse fix, I'm sure it was nice to get together to celebrate their 50th Anniversary with family! The sunburns you and DS have sound painful. I hope you can both get comfortable soon! Dab on lots of vinegar or soak in a vinegar bath to get some relief from the burn!

We are recovering nicely, Stephen is blistered all over, but it isn't slowing him down any. He is attending Counselor in Leadership Camp this summer and was able to keep up with the 7 and 8 year olds...

I am not as puffy as I was yesterday, so all :woohoo:And, yes, the hives from not seeing Mickey are going away as well...
:rotfl:

:thumbsup2:cool1::thumbsup2:cool1:

sipping wine, overlooking the harbour, with the sun setting over the blue ocean, I can't wait :dance3::dance3::dance3:

Hey - quit pushing... I wanna see the sun set too!! Cheers!!!

I'm a bad boy and you can all feel free to point and laugh at me on-board! :)

Because I just logged in for the first time in 5 days and there was something like 900 pages :eek: (well Maybe in exaggerating just a little) to catch up on….. so I admit it I skipped 40 or so….. There we go, I feel better for coming clean and admitting it.

OK, everyone repeat after me...

Hello, I am (insert name) and I am a DIS addict... :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Seriously, welcome back!!

Thanks Kimberly, here is my cruise breakdown:cool1:

101 days can be converted to one of these units:
•8,726,400 seconds
•145,440 minutes
•2424 hours
•14 weeks (rounded down)

Those are some conversions!! I am sticking to days here (99 until we leave for Spain!!)

Thanks for this! Does anyone have an opinion as to which rotation would be better?

We requested rotation 2. Fits part of what we want, but not all of it. I am not a fan of Parrot Cay - except for Pirate night - and I like Lumiere's for formal night... I also wanted to do Theme night at Animators... So, for us, 2 was it... Yikes - Hayley - I hope this is OK!!! Forgot to ask you guys!! (Sorry - we can change the request...)

Yes, Taye Diggs lived in Rochester for part of his childhood and all of his adolescence (although he wasn't born here). He is a graduate of "School of the Arts" which is a public high school in the Rochester City School District with a fine arts focus.....you can think of it kind of as Rochester's version of the school in the musical/movie/tv-show "Fame"-----the school is open to all students grades 6 through 8 (I think) but beginning in their 9th grade year they all have to be accepted to a fine arts focus like acting, singing, dancing, an instrument, etc. I work with lots of kids through my LGBTQ youth group who are students there and it's a pretty wonderful school (also only about 8 blocks from my house and office)! He also went to college in upstate New York at Syracuse University I think. He comes back now and then for benefits and shows and things to support the school---and I actually was in a production here locally with one of his vocal coaches from high school, too---but, sadly, to date he has never brought Idina with him. (I'm infatuated big time with Idina...LOL...I simply adore her. I saw her in Wicked on Broadway 8 times before she left the run----I've seen the show itself 19 times total----and I own every CD she's ever recorded, as well!)

After last nights episode of Glee (23/24) there was a programme called "Gleefull" about American show choirs - believe me our UK school choirs are nothing like that (sadly)
They featured the school in Rochester (seen as the best) as well as a couple on the west coast. Its a small world!

Here is a link from the HS my kids attended where you may hear their Madrigals choir. If you scroll down a bit more to the Wow link you can also hear some instrumentals:

Since some of you are just getting back to your DIS addiction this week, here's one of the things we've been chatting about in the last week or so.

Todd is going to include the following to Post #1 so any newbies or those of you who are going to wait to make your MMC t-shirt purchase until later will have an easily accessible reference.

~~~~~~
Matching Mickey Mouse Club T-Shirts
On a casual dining evening (date yet to be determined), we are planning our own Mickey Mouse Club Night to make us very disguisable to other Magic guests and to one another! It’s also another great photo opportunity! So if you would like to participate, you can purchase your t-shirt(s) at either www.DisneyStore.com or Zazzle.com.
There are variations of t-shirt styles that you can purchase (especially at Zazzle) for the whole family in a wide range of sizes. So choose your favorite style and don’t forget to personalize it with your name on the back in a LARGE font. Some DISers are choosing Impress as their font of choice, but feel free to use whatever you like best!
On a final note, pack your Ears if you have them to go with your MMC shirt!
Note that Zazzle DOES ship internationally, where DisneyStore does not.
  • DisneyStore.com:
    Savings Opportunities for DisneyStore.com:
    • Free shipping of entire order with purchase of adult clothing or accessories.
      PROMO CODE: KIDatHEART; expires June 8
    • $5 shipping on orders of $89 or more.
      PROMO CODE: SHIPTODAY; expires June 20
    • Utilize rebate site MrRebates.com to get a 5% rebate return on your DisneyStore purchase. Just note that you have to go to the rebate site first and then link to DisneyStore.com directly from their site in order to get the credit.
    • MrRebates.com tells you what coupon codes are current for the merchant.
  • Zazzle.com:
    One point to mention is that on Zazzle's site, they have two circular-looking graphic versions of the Mickey Mouse Club t-shirt. One looks like the one Todd posted, which is identical to the one on Disney's site, and Zazzle also has a second, a less dazzling one, that does not have the "Member" and "1956" reference. The screenprint is also different in color. So please make sure you select the correct one.
    Savings Opportunities for Zazzle.com:
    • 10% off T-Shirts
      PROMO CODE: TSHIRTS10OFF; expiration unknown
    • Utilize rebate site MrRebates.com to get a 13% rebate return on your Zazzle purchase. Just note that you have to go to the rebate site first and then link to Zazzle.com directly from their site in order to get the credit.
    • MrRebates.com lists what coupon codes are current with Zazzle.
Whew! It's about time we see a consensus! Thanks to all who have dug to get the scoop!
Glad you both feeling better from the sunburn!
....I finally broke down and got the burgundy colored glasses three years ago. Then this year, I got the new blue ones. I figured at my age, I needed to be a cool grandma or Omi as the kids call me.:goodvibes....
I LOVE them all, especially the blue ones!! You are indeed a young, hip Omi!!
....I can even remember touring the real plant and at the end getting a free bag of kisses. This was way back in 1969!!! :lmao:
A whole bag?!! Wow! Last time I was there, you got one Kiss that was handed to you. What I loved best was getting Twizzlers at the gift shop there. I swear they were truly the freshest I've ever eaten! They were SOOO soft!
Thanks for the ice!:cool1:.... Grand total to fix the stupid fan and motor.... $950.00 :scared1:
Well... we paid nothing, we had the all wonderful warrenty:banana: cost : $O.oo....
My mouth dropped and heart skipped a beat when I read $950! :scared1::scared1: Thank goodness you're not going to pay that bill!
We're with you on Animator's - it's like sitting in my parents' kitchen back in the 60s. We always try to schedule ourselves in Lumiere's for formal night, so APL works for the first formal (according to the latest schedule!) but also for Pirate night. There just doesn't seem to be a really good choice. :mad: Palo every night? :rolleyes1
:
I least you cool again and thank goodness for warranties. That is about asbad the latest prescription that my doctor put me on. If it was not for insurance the bill would have be for $896.70 for thirty pills. That is $29.89 a pill. That for 15 days. $1793.40 a month
Also for good news. My pain is a lot less and I have not taking any pain pills today. I still have some pain, but it not that bad most of the time. Some time its still painfull. Also today was my first full day of normal work in 47 days. I clear to do most of my job except moving heavy copiers around. Be careful around of elevators.
Also speaking of Hershey Chocolate, If any one is thinking about coming to Hesheypark this year. Please let me know. ReAnSt may come up and visit you if we can. We are up there a lot on Sunday, but we may make a special trip. We could also have a mini cruise meet.
Somebody wrote that they get into Barcleona Saturday morning at 7:55 - where are you leaving from? I am trying to figure out our flights.
I'm the one who posted that we arrive in Barcelona on Saturday at 7:55 a.m. We leave Cleveland, OH at 12:05 to JFK; we depart JFK at 5:40 p.m. on Delta (flight 94 if I recall correctly). Hope that helps.
Hello all....does anyone know what time they start boarding the ship in Barcelona? My DW and I will be flying the red-eye into Barcelona on Saturday and taking DCL transportation to the port for the Magic....we probably gonna be wiped out since neither of us sleep well on a plane....
Thanks!
Tom & Marilou
Hey Tom, were you able to get your flight information with that DCL number I pm'd you? Hope you were able to get the info!
I asked this same question a day or so ago...I was told most likely we will board around noon.
Called Disney Air as you suggested....they told me we had not been assigned anything yet but they use Delta mostly out of JFK....kind of got the impression that she was telling me we probably would be on the 5:40 flight but she just wasn't telling me....she stated we would not get the assignments until July 19th....just around the corner....but thanks again for the information.
Tom
Today was a busy one in our house. We are definitely stimulating the economy. Let me preface this with the fact that our house is 46 years old. Today 3 original sliding glass doors with storm doors from 1964 were replaced with double pane, low e, argon gas doors. We remodeled the kitchen 20 years ago and today they installed new granite countertops. We got a great deal of $29 a square foot when they opened a new Home Depot by us on May 1. They are installing the new laminate floor next week. It has been busy with all the installers in our house, but we are loving how it is coming together. People around here are so hungry for work we are getting some great deals. Next thing is to paint the interior, but we will do that ourselves and it will be after the cruise. Nothing like updating your house to sell it in about five years when I retire. At least we will get to enjoy it for a while.
