.... Hi, just wanted to say, they dresses are so good looking only you would be focusing on you "so called " flabby arms, my ams are very flabby (post huge wt loss) although I notice it, I am sure nobody else looks at my arms and also in my pics you def dont notice, go for it, you only live once, dont worry about arms....

Thanks for the words of encouragement! I've decided I'm going to go to a bridal store next week and see if they have anything similar to it to get an idea of how a princess style will look on me before I make the leap, then worry about the arms!

WOW, Ok people, that is what we need to beat, we need to get to 20!!! :rotfl2:....

....Oh No, Did one swim away? :rotfl:....

Twenty! Are you crazy girl?! I would give up!!

I do remember the 2007 EBTA thread going crazy. I was so excited for all of you that I would read the Meets thread from time-to-time. I also recall thinking to myself that when it goes that fast, it's got to push people out of the thread because they wouldn't be able to keep up with conversation. I was SO enjoying my own Meets Thread that that thought of not bonding with people like I was on my own Meets Thread made me sad! For those of you who were a part of the '07 EBTA thread, did you ever feel that way or hear of others who just had to give up?

...I actually feel much better today, the throbbing is much less.

The link is http://suekraft.blogspot.com/ I don't have Stephens as yet, as he will start it for School. So far mine is a bunch of drivvle about what I need to do to be ready for the cruise......

I'm so glad that you are improving!!

Thanks for the blog link! I look forward to reading about how your vacation is unfolding!

So what did you do? I haven't looked yet as we have had children and grandchildren here!!!

It's ok Maz, there's also a list of cruise lines and carriers you can add, not just flights....just me being dim! :rolleyes1:thumbsup2

Ha ha I will post you a scottish to english disctionary so you can get with it,lol

Yes, thats ok as long as you dont have to hold the door closed as well.:lmao:

Ok, I am faffing,procrastinating, puting it off, I need to get off my big butt and trim the huge hedge, this involves me standing on a wheelie bin ,Len holding me(by the big butt), me waving a huge hedge trimmer about over my head, I hate doing it, there is holly through it so even picking it up afterwards is a hassle, then Im going to dads boat in anstruther, byeeeee have a great day.

I need the dictionary!! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Well, you use one hand for one one thing and the other to hold the door closed!! :rotfl::rotfl:

Wheelie bin = wheelbarrow???

Have a lovely day on the boat. Hug your parents for me!!

WOW,
OK, The Dr's onboard sound pretty useless, Should I bring some heavy duty pain relief from my doctor or will they give it to me onboard If need be? I have a dodgy gallbladder, I had an attack last week, but hadn't had one for nearly 6 months, so fingers crossed I'll be fine. ;)

Doctor on board is pretty useless. DD had terrible pain in her leg. He said just rest, it must be sprain. Turned out she had a blood clot in her leg that by continuing to walk traveled into her lungs. When we got off the ship, she ended up first in emergency, then in the hospital for a week in Florida.

When we queried DCL about this, they were very unconcerned. Never did get an apology or any real reason why they did not take her pain seriously.

Hope everyone has fun today. Its a beautiful day here and we're off to a wedding reception later on so I shall expect lots of pages to catch up on tomorrow!:thumbsup2

I hope you had a fabulous time at the wedding. We are going to my nephew's wedding in July in a beautiful winery. Wedding's always make me feel sentimental.

This board is totally addictive!! I don't even know you guys and your a bad influence on me! See this :surfweb: this is me this morning when I should be doing laundry, cutting grass, cleaning house, oh and I guess spending time with my family :rolleyes1. I'm just afraid I'm going to miss something if I don't check frequently.

Same here. But what is worse is that it is only 8:35 AM here. DH woke me up early as he is on conference call to India right next to me! Might as well wake up and DIS....:lmao::lmao:

My daughter leaves next Saturday for a 2 week mission trip in Samara, Russia.....She is using both of my big suitcases.....sooooo I cant pack until she gets back :headache:

That's a big trip. What will she be doing out there? I won't be packing till a couple of days before we fly!!!

It's ok Maz, there's also a list of cruise lines and carriers you can add, not just flights....just me being dim! :rolleyes1:thumbsup2

Well thanks for letting me know!!!

I need the dictionary!! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

A Wheelie bin is a tall plastic(though could be other material I guess) for rubbish which the local council bin men come along and empty.

Right back at ya. Congrats to you too. :hippie:

We should meet for a celebratory drink and a chinwag!!!

This is one thing I hope to buy on this cruise - I did not know until the last cruise when we set the alarm for the first time in 5 cruises that the alarm plays when you wish upon a star! There was no room in our suitcases last time - this time I hope to make room!

I hope you have better luck w/yours than we did. Ours worked once or twice and now the alarm just won't stop, so we just took the batteries out. Oh, and changing the batteries is a real challenge (at least for geezers like us).

On the EBTA I was in charge of Game Time - we met each sea day at 1 pm and played games with other Diser's - it was fun - I actually brought about 15 different types of games with us - this time to save space we will not be bringing them all but will still be bringing quite a few - almost all of our games are Disney Themed - including Pixar Monopoly, Villians Monopoly, Disney Monopoly, Disney Uno, Disney Apples to Apples, Disney Pictionary, etc. Not sure what all we are bringing this time.

Pick me, pick me!!!!

We had so much trouble with our carry-ons when traveling in Europe - the rules are so different than in the USA. If you are traveling on a US carrier you should not have trouble - but if you are checking in with somone else or taking another flight in Europe (not connecting but like you are going somewhere and then flying to Barcelona) be careful and read that airline's rules for carry on's very carefully. In Barcelona the KLM ticket lady had to approve and tagged each piece that it was approved for carry on. they were very picky. For our flights in Europe my son will be carrying a "Man Purse" because they did not let the men to take a "small personal" item on as well as a carryon (a small backpack with his computer) but they would let me and my daughter carry on our large purses as well as our carry on. So we are planning differently this time!

This certainly needs some research; don't want to be penalized.

All I can say is you do not want to have an attack on the cruise! My husband did and it was a very interesting experience with the whole thing - he knew what was going on as he had had one the april before (it was December) but the Dr. onboard was convienced he had a bowl impaction and wanted to get us off the ship ASAP - but we managed to stay on for another day and made it to Orlando - and then flew home - he did have surgeory but not till after Christmas. i still have nightmares of the Dr. trying to figure out how to use the xray machine - he had to get out the MANUAL!!!! I kid you not!

That is downright scary! (Degree from Crackerjacks U.?)

Krisann

and finally ..... on time and correct this week ..... let me give you the countdown

ONLY 12 WEEKS UNTIL WE BOARD THE DISNEY MAGIC !!!!

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:
:yay::yay::yay::yay::yay:
:dance3::dance3:

...... it's getting closer :thumbsup2

Woooohoooo!

Thank you! I did assume that but thought I'd check with you more experienced travellers!:thumbsup2

Which makes me think, is there something extra we Americans need to do to travel into Spain? Anyone?

That sounds very fun! Jason and i will definitely be bringing some games, too. The only Disney themed game we have is Disney Uno, though (we bought it on the ship during the Double Dip in 2008). We'll be bringing Bananagrams, travel boggle, taboo, buzz word for sure....we also have party games like scattegories, cranium, etc. and a few fun card games like Blink, Ziggity, Qwitch, Bandits, etc.

Pick me, pick me!

OK, now I'm REALLY scared. :scared1: (Downgrade from Crackerjacks U. to Bubblegum Wrapper U.)

I love that expression for gossip or chatting!!

This is VERY scary! I am making sure I pack EVERY medication I own - just in case. That is horrible what happened to your DD. Congrats! on the 25 years! My DH and I celebrate 17 years on July 24th! I think we will have lots of fun couples to play Match Your Mate!!! That is always good for a laugh.

Krisann - good to see you back. I haven't seen you post in a while.

UKANGEL - how is your daughter doing? I was thinking about her and hope things are well.

I love games!! Pictionary, Uno - whatever! Just say the time!

I posted the sizes for our airline much earlier in this forum. I will post again and show what we bought.

Carry on size is as follows:
Cabin baggage
For reasons of safety as well as convenience, each passenger is only allowed to take one item of cabin baggage into the cabin. Cabin baggage must not weigh more than 6 kg (8 kg incl. laptop) and the dimensions must not exceed 55 cm x 40 cm x 20 cm. Passengers in airberlin’s business class may take a second item of cabin baggage weighing up to 6 kg on board.

6 kg - 13 lbs 3 oz 8 = 17 lbs 10 oz
55 cm x 40 cm x 20 cm. = 21.7" x 15.7" x 7.9"

Checked baggage:
Free baggage allowance
On short-haul and medium-haul flights the maximum free baggage allowance for checked baggage is 20 kg per passenger. Cost for extra baggage is 5 euros per 4 kg or if you have a bag that weighs, for example, 20 kg, you will pay 100 Euros for the bag itself and 50 Euros for having an extra bag.

20 kg = 44 lbs 1 oz

This is the extra bag we bought to carry on which meets the exact specs.

With respect to health issues, I didn't tell my DD's story to scare anyone, only to warn you that they didn't seem to take my DD's health concerns very seriously. I was expecting them to be more through and was very disappointed when DCL did not seem to be concerned with a serious misdiagnosis. If you have any concerns before you sail, you should review them with your own physician and get their recommendation.

If we would have thought at the onset that DD's sore leg was anything even slightly more serious, we would have had her seen before we left. She had been over exercising so all of us (including her) thought is was sore muscles.

When the pain persisted even though she was resting, I think they might have recommended we see a physician before we flew home. I specifically asked them that question and was told, no need, just get plenty of rest. Only an over zealous Mom like me insisted she see a Doctor which resulted in her hospitalization.

Just my thoughts.....
:surfweb:

Noel - I am glad you said something - we all need to know especially since we all seem to have some type of health issue, and I say that with the utmost love and smiles. Scary or not, it is good to know since we will be smack dab in the middle of the ocean for 5 days!!!

Glad you were a persistent mother. I would have done the samre thing!
