sounds just like me!:rotfl2:

me too Sarah, got totally the wrong end of the stick :rolleyes1

we're kindred spirits Sarah!

SOunds sensible to me!:)

Do make sure you tell us all about it :)

LOL Defnately! I'm just glad it wasn't just me!

We're about the same size. I look fabulous though, so I'm sure you do too!

I am focusing on improving my strength and flexibility, and to improve my cardiac health, and to maintain the good health I am blessed with. I'd like to be smaller, but it isn't critical to my self-esteem. I like me. I'd just like to be smaller and am working towards that goal.

xoxo

I'm going to too I've decided! I'm trying to walk in to work at least 2 times a week (its a 30-40 minute walk so its got to be good for me right?) Walking home I only go half way (around 15 mins) and then catch the bus as there's a very steep hill in the way which every time I go up I have to use my inhaler. I'm going to aim for this in a few months once my body stops rebelling on the way home from work lol!

OK so I get Martins Money Tip Newsletter every week and just saw that the ESTA's we need to go into the US are going to start having a $10 fee on them. The predicted date that this fee is going to kick in is September so I'd suggest everyone fill in their ESTA's soon to avoid this. They are valid for 2 years from the date you submit them! We did ours in April so are covered but not sure everyone has one yet!

I'll toss my answer into the ring..................

Ermmm, I'm not saying which century I am stuck in!!!

Wow... you know more about your family in Germany than I do about mine
a040.gif

Cool!

We now live right in the middle between Nuremberg, Erlangen and Fuerth.
I was born and raised in Regensburg (Ratisbon), which -for me- is the most beautiful town in Bavaria.

I agree that is a beautiful area and you are justly proud of your home town.

We are going to try to have dinner on the 15th with my family in Frankfurt as we arrive in Frankfurt on Sept 14 at 3:00 PM. I can't imagine a journey to Europe for us not beginning in Germany.

50 Pages!!:scared1:
I go away for 5 days and there are over 50 pages!

Sue, Payment is on the way!

I did get to book on 12am Sunday my Palo lunch,
Gibraltar explore the rock on your own, and Tortola catamaran snorkel tour.

Now I have a lot of reading to catch up on!!!!!!

Thanks! All its done is made me not want to loose any weight at all and stuff my face so probably not helpful lol. Im 121kg now so have loads to loose - well actually my ideal weight is meant to be 72kg! In pounds I think I should be around the 160lb mark and I'm 266lbs! Wow that sounds scarey doesn't it? so I have around the 100lb mark to loose although I think if I lost that amount I would look ill as I don't look huge now! That's 11 stone! Oh my God Im scared now!

I think we all need to first to find a way to be happy with the person we are and with our relationships with those we love. Once we find that balance, I think we can try to eat sensibly, exercise, live life with a happy spirit and if we are lucky, have a fulfilling career. I can't imagine being on my deathbed worrying that I didn't loose enough weight.

Just my thoughts...

oooh thanks for the reminder Sarah!:thumbsup2

I wish you could too but we will have plenty of time to chat and do things together on the ship!!:thumbsup2

so true! mind you, if I win the lottery in the next few weeks I'll join you (and upgrade the cabin):thumbsup2:rotfl2:

First, THANKS for all the wonderful welcomes! You all sound like a lot of fun, not to mention amazing planners!

Please bear with me, I'm new to the whole DIS thing. I clicked in this morning after posting last night and there were another 10 pages...don't think I can keep up!

:confused3 May I ask what a PM is? That seems to be the way to join in a lot of activities.

After looking through the 1st page of the thread and web site, as you all suggested:

--I will send an email to see if there are any lanyards still available

--The MM Club shirt idea is cute and will probably order some; what night are you wearing them? (Where on DCL can I find the designated dress codes for this cruise?)

--Is it too late to get in on the Embarkation Ts? (Great design, by the way!)

--Definitely interested in the private tour of Madeira! Haven't looked yet at shore excursions...anything anyone recommends?

--Might be interested in the wine tasting--is that an obligation? How will it work?

--Might be interested in the Hard Rock gathering--is that one you can just show up for?

I will PM whomever I need to, once I find out how...

Just booked yesterday (realized we had DVC points we were going to lose) so we still have to sort out our air schedule. Has anyone found Disney air to be reasonable from IAD or BWI?

We are planning to get into Barcelona on the 16th. Still looking at hotels, although planning to stay near the top of Las Ramblas near Plaza Catalunya. Barcelona is a very beautiful and walkable city.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Andrea

Ok I am so looking forward to the cruise because I will not have to read tons of pages to keep up. Seriously last read at 3:00 yesterday and by 10:30 there was 10 pages :scared1::scared1::scared1:popcorn::

If it were up to my DH John to pack for the cruise, he would take a pair of shorts, two Hawaiian shirts, a pair of long trousers, a few pairs of underwear, a bathing suit, a tee shirt to wear with bathing suit and his sandals.

Yes if my husband packed that is what he would take. But he would use his bathing suit as shorts too.:rolleyes1

 Speaking of husbands, anybody got poker fanatics on here? Is so, DH  poker and if there are others, maybe we can set something up for them one day. (And us girls can go "shopping" ?) DH loves to play poker and will regale anyone interested with his story of his final table escapade. Careful, I will take this time out to forewarn you that while DH is NOT a shark, he is extremely lucky.

Just talked to Glenn he would like to play poker too. Not me I am lousy at the game.

I could not have said it any better than you just did. I feel exactly the same way. Good health is such a blessing.

That would easily fit into a carry-on. Just think, no excess baggage fees.

We spent one week in Munich and loved it -- especially our tour of the BMV factory and a daytrip to Neuschwanstein.

Woody

:thumbsup2 to no excess baggage fees.

I loved Neuschwanstein!! I remember my first trip there. Just seeing the castle in the distance was awe inspiring!! The tour was so interesting.

I know its crazy! I can't say I'm overly fit but I can't say I'm so unfit and fat that I can't walk the 40 minute walk into work each day or anything! Absolutely nuts!

I walk at least 1 1/2 hours a day at a brisk pace. DH walks with me on the weekend. I am trying to slowly work up to 2 hours.

If you just start slowly and work up, it seems to be something you can stick to and not feel over tired.

Just my thoughts....

Lovely words! I think I'm going by this philosophy from now on!

Andrea don't worry we were all new once

If you click on someones user name on the left it will show a list of options one of which is send a Private Message. Thats all this means. ITs like sending an email.

Don't worry we all skim from time to time!

:confused3 May I ask what a PM is? That seems to be the way to join in a lot of activities.

PM is a Private Message (same as email through the DIS)

Most every night is Cruise Casual unless designated as Formal or Semi-Formal. OR PIRATE!! pirate: pirate:

--Is it too late to get in on the Embarkation Ts? (Great design, by the way!)

Unfortunately, I think it is. But I missed it too so you won't be the only one.

--Definitely interested in the private tour of Madeira! Haven't looked yet at shore excursions...anything anyone recommends?

--Might be interested in the wine tasting--is that an obligation? How will it work?

YES!! Wine tasting is an obligation!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Whether with the group or just through DCL, you should definitely participate! :thumbsup2

--Might be interested in the Hard Rock gathering--is that one you can just show up for?

I will PM whomever I need to, once I find out how...

I don't play poker, but poker usually means cigars are present so I might have to indulge in a guilty pleasure... :rolleyes1

:thumbsup2 to no excess baggage fees.

I remember Neuschwanstein!! Almost 18 years ago my parents took me there - made me feel like a princess! princess:
