What a croc! I logged on 12:02 PDT and there weren't any High Teas left. Tried booking Brunch and there was only one day remaining and I couldn't book for 2 people? Only Dinners remaining which there are plenty of.

So disappointed with Disney.

Ok, that did not go well!!! :guilty:

Got in at 9:02 but couldn't get the High Tea and I got so excited when I got brunch that I only added Gus and not myself. Errrr!

Managed to get dinner and one excursion but none of the times we wanted them!!

Bummer...

I had to share this with the DIS board as no one else would understand. DH and I have spent the day finalizing our plans for shore excursion, he on his notebook and I on mine.

However, he has hooked my computer up to our 60" HD TV so he can watch my posts and when I go online to book the shore excursions.

He has just finished giving me his inputs on Castaway Cay. DH told me he is feeling sad just like our trip is ending. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I should do this for DM next time I take her on a DCL cruise, lol.

Done. Reserved what I wanted to- I think, I am so tired I am going to have to double check everything tomorrow. Good luck everyone.

Wow! I'm surprised to hear there were/are problems for some. So sorry!!!

I got all I wanted except Palo Brunch, which was first on my priority list to reserve. I've gone back several times to see if by chance it opened up, but as suspected, it hasn't. The last couple of times I tried, I also noticed it was slow. I'm not worried about it though. It will happen.

BTW, I'm still seeing lots of Palo dinner openings in case anyone is wondering.

No brunch or tea available...I was rather surprised! Got almost all the excursions we wanted. Had to adjust in Madeira but we'll be ok with our second choice. I'll keep checking for availability until we leave! I'm sorry for everyone having trouble getting on. After trying to just refresh initially, I did log off and log back in. I'm out now so hopefully that will help others get on...fingers crossed!

Pathetic, I am going to e-mail disney later, know It wont make any differance though. I had things booked but unconfirmed, I think I confirmed my tortola snorkel thingy

As said above, your dress is amazing! Definitely requires a tiara!
As for recycling dresses, Isn't that what we're supposed to be doing these days.....recycling. I don't think there is anything wrong with that! ;)

Recycling is so 2009, Upcycling is the in thing. Just found a fab blog from this lady in LA who creates a new dress every day from an old garment, on the budget of $1 - some really amazing stuff http://newdressaday.wordpress.com/

I am fairly certain that Paula was only keeping track of who was interested in the group transportation, not volunteering to make the arrangements for the bus. However, I don't recall who had either considered or committed to volunteer to lead this. :confused3

Stephen had originally made contact with the company and I offered to gather names.

As already mentioned, it would be best to minimize currency conversions/fees with Paypal probably by having someone in either the UK or the US arrange it else it potentially will have multiple currency conversions if I pay for it.

Also the timezone changes make at least 24 hours for a turn-around email conversation for Europe for discussing the company chosen and I'm definitely not making a long distance call to Europe, heck, it costs enough to call my brother and he only lives 45 minutes away... :rotfl:

Any volunteers to pick this up if Steven can't?

Right, formal wear. I love the idea of dressing up, but the reality is I'm not that comfortable dressed up too much and can't see myself in a ball gown. What are you all considering wearing? I have noticed that the longer cruises see more dressing up than the shorter ones, and I will indeed make a big effort.:lmao:

Best I can do is tidy pants a top. I consider jeans and my best skechers to be dressed up ;)

Interesting that we share Father's Day with the UK, but I believe we have different Mother's Day. Just thinking today. :)

Mother's Day here is always the second sunday in May (Autumn) and Father's Day is 1st Sunday in September (start of spring).

Okay....I just found something I found hilarious on the DCL website!

Snorkel at Norman Island

Additional Information:

  • Bottled water is provided.
  • Life vests are included and compulsory for all Guests.
  • Snorkel, mask and fins are provided.
  • Water included. :rotfl2:

That just strikes me funny.....and I haven't even been drinking spirits!

So if you take off the snorkel, its all you can drink? :rotfl:

ok back to sleep for me as Im having trouble seeing the keyboard!:rolleyes1

I'm really bummed we couldnt get Palo Brunch as thats our favourite but fingers crossed they'll open more up.

Hope everyone else has managed to at least get in now!!:thumbsup2

Booked all the excursions we wanted. Had two windows open (one for me and one for my DS and DIL) and was booking each at the same time. It was very slow going but got everything we wanted.

Checked Palo and only dinners were open. We didn't really plan on anything but dinner and aren't even sure of that yet. Plenty of dinner choices except for either day 6 or 7 (at sea)!! Can't remember which but it was completely booked on line!

Took a quick look at the spa items but didn't really see much in the way of selection. Not a big deal as I plan on waiting until on ship and seeing what specials may be available.

The most exciting thing for me was that we are close enough to actually book!!!

Okay - off to bed now. I'm having Father's Day brunch with my DS, DIL and her DM, DF and DS.

Hope everyone has success!!!
