I guess you haven't visited Toronto in February. One of the worst aspects of my job is being called out of a snuggly, warm bed and out into a freezing, windy cold night, when it is so cold the car whines being started up, and the snow is crispy it is so frigid. Cold enough that wet hair freezes in the 15 steps from the front door to the car. Toronto in February is really, really cold. And damp. And windy.

That is my favourite time of year. I always say bring on the snow. Just doesn't seem to be the same as when I was younger.

Great reminder....as GTY folks get room #'s assigned, if you are a lanyard person then I need that information, too (and I wouldn't be opposed to having folks call my room with upgrades or onboard room switches, either in the first day or so of the cruise if I haven't hunted you down yet to give you your lanyards)

OK, so this was dealt with earlier - sorry! I haven't been here much. Busy making money to pay for the cruise. Fortunately, I've been successful at doing to.

Still, I must admit that using Harvey & Elwood was a pretty good jest! See below.....

Thoughts?

I suspect someone's having a little fun at our expense. The names "Elwood" and "Harvey" come from the play / movie "Harvey", the movie version of which starred Jimmy Stewart. Stewart played the role of Elwood P. Dowd, whom everyone thought was crazy because he was the only one who could see an invisible, 6 foot tall rabbit named Harvey, who was a pooka (a magical being). So, having an invisible person name Harvey with a friend named Elwood - this is almost certainly a rather puckish joke.

Very cute, but I don't think we need to worry about Harvey showing up...

At least, I don't THINK so.......

And, perhaps, more importantly: My Lady Wife and I are now FULLY PAID IN FULL (and completely, too).

What's more, I'm celebrating (if that's the word) my 60th birthday (although the birthday itself happens the month before).

Well I am finally back on the boards. Graduation was great and the party a smash. Very proud of my 2 nieces for sticking it out in school and getting doctorates.

Now it is time for me to focus on this cruise and and of course my nieces wedding next March.

I have my FE gifts ready to be assembled. Hope to have them done this weekend.

We purchased our air through DCL, but are leaving on 9/16. Since DCL uses Delta and American a lot (so I hear) the possibilities are open. I guess we won't know until August

Donna - what's airborne?

It is a flavored tablet you put in water that disolves like the old alka-seltzer, but it is loaded with a bunch of vitamins. It was invented by a teacher and I swear by it when I am coming down with a cold. When I was on the Med cruise in 07 I felt so bad I told Joi we were going to check the store on the ship to see if they had it and I was buying it regardless of the price. They did have it, a took it twice and felt like new again. Some people say it does not work, but it always has for me.
