How exciting!! Did you take any pics yet? I hope we have room with all these weight restrictions otherwise just our tee shirts.

Exciting!!! Now no eating too much chocolate or too many desserts!!!!

I don't think I will ever give up chocolate but only eat a few Hershey kisses these days to assuage my chocolate cravings.

Just my thoughts....

Hello Friends

Does anyone know if the recent EBTA Navigators have been posted online anywhere yet??

Can't wait to see some of thier activities as i'm guessing ours wil be pretty much the same.

SW

I haven't seen any, but there was a overview document. I'll see if I can find it.

EDIT - There's a link on this post...http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=36447655&postcount=16

O Thanks that's a good taster...

It mentions the onboard gallery and art auctions, I think I remember reading this is not a Disney owned gallery. Do they sell Disney art? and what goes on at the auctions? has anyone bought anthing? what sort of prices are the pieces?

Thanks

SW

I am so glad you reminded everyone about the size and weight of the bags. Air Berlin allows only one carry on which much weigh 13lbs, 30z without computer or 17lbs 10 oz bs or less if you have a computer. The size must be no more than 21.7 x 15.7 x 7.9. It was extremely hard to find a rolling bag that small. Our weighs 6.2 lbs empty. Lucky we only have a few hours we need to use this restriction as we stay overnight in Frankfort before we fly to Barcelona.

Air Berlin only allows one checked bag per person. Extra bag fee is 150 Euros!!!

Your reminder about making lists of everything in your bags is excellent. We not only make lists, we have photos of everything we take as well as a list of replacement costs.

I always feel that trip insurance is one of those things you will never need unless you don't buy the insurance.

Just my thoughts....

Please remember they are super strict in europe. I mean super strict, every time we fly now it seems we have to put our carry on in the metal frame to check the size, I am going to buy new luggage for this trip becuse my carry ons are 3 cms too big, and its just not worth the hassle if they are not allowed on.
It has been so busy around here that I cannot seem to catch up with you guys. las weekend was my grandson's 1st birthday party. He is such a joy. I had intended to make his cake, but last minute my Dil decided we should have cupcakes instead. Wow, it was a huge success and none were left over. I made mickey heads and put his picture in them and then put them on top of the cupcake. Very cute. I airbrushed the cupcakes, some were yellow and the others red. Will not be doing that again. The overspray was everywhere and I even covered the counter and made a mock paint booth.

The is weekend my niece graduates with her doctorate (she is the one coming with us on this cruise) in Physical Therapy. I am making her cakes and doing her party, so once again I will not be able to catch up with you guys.

Please know that I am interested in getting to know you guys before we cruise and I hope to be able to do that in the next few weeks. If there is anything I can do to assit with this cruise please feel free to ask. Although some of the ports are different from the last one I was on, I am somewhat familiar with this cruise. My name used to be faireygod mother, but I lost my password and changed my email and tech support could not help me. So, I changed my identity to protect the guilty;)
Youre cakes sound like good fun and yummy into the bargain.

Give Nothing Back!!

To be perfectly honest, I'm a little afraid of how we can fit lanyards AND fish extender gifts, as well....so the truth is that our fish extender gifts will probably be simple and small=====>since in essence the lanyards and all the work and organizing that goes into them is kind of an informal gift to everyone (who gets them) no matter WHAT fish extender fruit group we end up in!! :lmao::thumbsup2

Lanyards are the ultimate FE gift. But hopefully we'll all meet up on the 18th around 3pm on the deck above the goofy pool for distribution and a show of DIS force:rotfl2:

British Airways that strict too?

I know my problems are small considering, but I need to figure out how to bring my hair dryer. If I wrap it like I do when I'm on my way to Disney, I'll put it in bubble wrap and then wrap it with soft clothes. It takes a huge amount of room, but when I go to Disney, I don't have to bring anything but clothes. I have an Owners Locker.

John just can't get the locker to Barcelona.:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: So I'm going to have to bring my shampoo, conditioner, all the other hair stuff. I'm wondering if I should put the delicate attachment in my carry-on case? :confused3:confused3:confused3

And no, although the Disney products are wonderful, they just are not made for my hair. I need room for shoes! Last time I forgot my regular shoes and had to wear my Crocs to Palo!! (At least they matched my outfit perfectly):lmao::lmao:

Two weeks of clothes, formal wear, pirate wear, shoes, hair dryer! Are two bags going to be enough??????:lmao::lmao:

Two bags is never going to be enough for stylish girls with pretty hair, when are the airlines going to work this out? :lmao:Wake up Airlines!!!:lmao:

Your cupcakes sound so gorgeous!! I wish I were that clever but I am a "baking challenged" individual. I love to cook but hate to bake.

If you have any pics of the cupcakes, I would love to see them.

Just my thoughts...
:surfweb:

The cupcakes do sound great, Photo's?
I opposite, I love baking but don't like the cooking so much. Probably why my clothes keep shrinking??? :rotfl:

YAY! I bet the kids are excited too! I just made a countdown chain yesterday, It doesn't start until 115 days out, but I've hung it looped from the staircase to tease them! :rotfl2:
(Somebody from DIS e-mailed it to me, Let me know if you want one, anyone?)

I am trying to do the no more desserts thing until we are on the trip... I figure with all the walking we will do I can have one or two then...

One or two, I hope you mean per day? :goodvibes

Sue....did you get my email for my Tshirt order? I am trying to make sure I am signed up for everything and desperately trying to stay up to date with the DIS!!!:rotfl:

It is not Disney owned. There are a few pieces of Disney art usually. It is way to rich for our blood, but the free champagne is nice and you can attend and sip on that without actually placing a bid. :rolleyes1 The pieces for auction will be on display in the hall ---I think it is by Animators --- prior to the auctions.

Sadly I enjoy both baking and cooking. Thus DrHug and I both are a bit fluffy and I see no end in sight to that. :guilty: I baked cinnamon scones today. They were quick, easy to make and yummy! My first attempt at scones. I plan to try dried cranberry ones tomorrow. Oh, maybe I will add a little orange to that. :goodvibes

We are flying Delta. Maybe we need to wear something that has our DIS names on it so you can pick us out in the crowd (or avoid us if the kids are acting up...)

Very exciting indeed!!!

Us, too, but we're a day behind you :sad1:

Try soaking the dried cranberries in OJ for about 15 minutes and then adding orange zest. Keeps them very moist!

I am a foodie in general. I have some training, but do it for the love of it. I generally bake when under stress as it adds some structure to life. I cook for the fun of it as you can do a little of this and a little of that...

I wanted to go and see Paula Deen and Bobby Flay this weekend, but Stephen has a double header. Somehow I thought he would be upset with me if I missed the games...

For anyone that is trying to PM me - try again... I just emptied my over full box... :) Sorry about that!

Sue
