....well cancellation, actually. I heard back from KellyJeanDVC today and she has had to cancel the cruise, unfortunately, so I removed her from the lanyard list. She said she will be coming on the boards to let folks know herself sometime soon and wish us all well...but in case anyone else is waiting on her for tshirts or fish extenders or any other group activities, I thought I'd let you know.
...
On a list that started with well over 250 people to be down to only 4 traveling parties still on the MIA list, that isn't bad at all!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

There is no telling what Glenn did... I will ask him to double check tonight.

Great job at pulling all of this together! :cheer2:

On the WBPC cruise we had people who just signed up for the FE right in the early days of the thread, then never made another post, or replied to any PM's or emails to see if they were still going. They were removed from the list, and then when they WERE onboard and didn't get any gifts in their FE's they were very cross and kept leaving comments on peoples dry wipe boards or in their FE"S!!!!!:confused3

This is just plain rude. Not to mention - how will they know what rooms? I really just don't get it...

I am reminded of a comment I heard between 2 store clerks. They were chatting and the one says "I hate stupid people", and the othere agreed...

As for the fear of flying dialogue, I don't particularity like to fly but DH loves to fly. I think I got freaked out as a child by the movie the Crowded Sky!! For those who want to know, I amde a link to the movie synopsis site: http://www.answers.com/topic/the-crowded-sky

Or maybe like others have suggested it is a control issue as I like to be the driver!!

He used to be a puddle jumper pilot and we would fly often. We would go to Half Moon Bay for lunch at the Shorebird (now the Half Moon Bay Brewing Pub) http://www.hmbbrewingco.com/ when we worked together. Ah, the good old days!!

One of the things that he used to do when he was a pilot that drove me crazy is spread a map across the windshield. I want to see out the windshield!!!

We are ALMOST members of the PIF club! It's processing my payment...well, it's been processing my payment for a good 10 minutes now! I don't want to cancel it or refresh it, but I'm not sure what to do... :confused3

Donna - what's airborne?

Since Donna is not online, I thought I would answer for her as we use Airborne though I am sure it is more psychosomatic than curative.

From Wikipedia:
Airborne is a dietary supplement containing herbal extracts, amino acids, antioxidants, electrolytes, synthetic vitamins, and other ingredients. It was created by Victoria Knight-McDowell in the early 1990s. It is offered for sale over-the-counter in many U.S. retail stores in three different forms: tablet, chewable lozenge, or powder. It is marketed as a dietary supplement supporting the immune system, though effectiveness has not been rigorously established.

I would call DCL and see what they are seeing. OR - call your bank and see if it has been recorded with them.

Welcome to the club!!

I basically re-signed in and then it showed I was PIF! :yay::yay::yay: No income tax return yet, but I needed to pay for it anyway. I used my Disney Visa so at least I'll get some Rewards points from it. :thumbsup2

They ALWAYS eat seem to be eating the pill !! must be sugar coated or something, really doesnt do them any hard worth worrying about.

Cattle class, weve only ever been in cattle class:laughing:
But flying is flying, I am as I mentioned pretty old fashioned and could slap the folk that talk over the captain speaking, I mean, have some respect.
I seriously want to hear anything the guy has to say, I also put there name to memory just to see if we ever get him again. mad I know.

I agree, flying is flying, as long as your on the plane, you all end up in the same place (although a flat bed makes it a little more comfortable when you have 34 hours in transit!). My memory is way too bad to remember a strangers name, let alone my own kids! :rotfl:

Band-aids - brillant!! I never thought of that one! Thank you Mrs.Mork!

Birth control - I did get it and did NOT get offended!!!:rotfl2: I just read everybody's posts. I have the best birth control on board, the husband is at home

That's a good one!:

A little misc. stuff.

Here's my take on flying. I hate it. I absolutely hate flying through turbulence. Hate it. I will get airsick. My longest flight has been to California; about 5 hours. I was on Southwest with no movie, nothing. Didn't have the sense to pack my laptop with my DVD. Nothing. Miserable.

Plan for Barcelona... Get on plane. Eat a very light dinner. Take Excederin PM. Wash it down with two bottles of wine. Sleep. If I can sleep for 5 hours, I will be completely rested and ready for daytime Barcelona. I am hoping to be knocked out is case there is any turbulence. That's my plan...

Sounds great, only who will look after my kids??? :rotfl:

Hopefully I'll pass the sane test with my Mickey t-shirt, Mickey carryon bag, Mickey earphones, wearing Crocs with socks, my face with a Shrek-like pallor, walking to my seat like a death march, carrying my D&B Mickey sketch handbag, DVC airplane blanket, and Sailor Mickey, waiting for the beverage cart so I can inhale my two bottles of wine.

Your one that I wouldn't worry about, and whats wrong with crocs and socks? ;)

This leaves it out there now that I only need hear from:

Dis-Bits (Who is entirely MIA and hasn't posted in a long time, or ever, and hasn't replied to multiple PMs. I think I got their information off the roll-call website. Are we sure they're not a figment of su_kraft's husband's imagination, too? :lmao: I was only able to send PMs, no email, cuz I don't have an email address since they registered for lanyards using the website and not email or PM I think. Do we have an email address for them anywhere from the roll-call site?)
figment795 and tigger795 (Who are traveling together but neither has responded to PM's or my emails from a couple days ago)
KAP158 (Also not responding to PMs or emails.)
LadyPoo (Also not responding to PMs or emails.)

On a list that started with well over 250 people to be down to only 4 traveling parties still on the MIA list, that isn't bad at all!

I would take them off the list, but give them 1st chance at the blank / spare ones on board???

That is just obnoxious! Are we meant to be mind readers? :confused3

She really is fun to fly with!!!

I can remember when we flew with our Pal Mickeys and drove our seat mate crazy with them!! :lmao::lmao:

Oh cool, So I'll bring PAL Mickey?:goodvibes

we made our last payment today! PIF
:cool1::cool1::cool1:YAY!!!:cool1::cool1::cool1:

I don't mind flying.....but my arms ache after a bit
:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

For those of us who don't have assigned room numbers yet, Will we just post them when we have them so you can update the list. Or do we keep track of it ourselves? What if someone upgrades at port?:confused3

Those store clerks were obviously talking about themselves! :)

OK, So a glorified Vitamin? I'll have to get some, I am the Vitamin Queen!

Why do you have to get up in the middle of the night? Are you on call for work? What do you do?

I am a midwife. I go to about 75-90 births a year. Many of them at night! Sometimes I like the hours as it is pretty neat to be coming home during a sunrise. I especially like being called out when the kids are cranky and whiny. Sorry DH - gotta go! - good luck with all that! :lovestruc

As people get room numbers they should PM me. I will keep updating the lists and posting to the first page of the thread (part 5 or 6...:confused3).

Additionally, if anyone upgrades at the port, please call our room and leave a messsage. I am bringing a dry erase board and will post cabin changes there. Time permitting I can try to put a note in FE's of that group so everyone knows without finding our cabin (although you are all invited to stop by!!)

And, yes, the store clerks were talking about them selves (as well as others.) They work at our local Kroger. It can be a scary place (and it is worse after dark). They have great specials, but they also attract the people that feel they don't have to look before pushing their cart into you, in front of you, or anywhere else... We prefer to shop at Publix as you don't see as much of that behavior. Well the 2 boys were out getting carts and walked right infront of DH who was in the car - driving! Not so smart...

Time to do the dance of joy . . . as recently said by our Captain and our Crew Chief (that should be you Sue!)

Cruise Paid In Full - check

Plane tickets for 4 to Barcelona - check

Ride from Barcelona Airport to flat for 4 sleep and excited folks - check

Flat reserved for 3 days in Barcelona - check

Ride to Barcelona Port - check

Flights back from MCO (is this really necessary??) - still thinking about . . .

:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

Counting the days to cruise with y'all!!

Hi, transatlantic cruisers! :hippie:Chuck, Patrick and I are interested in trying to bring the Magic home to Port Canaveral! :yay::yay: But I don't know what to expect as far as the airline tickets and flights.

  • We would be flying out of Orlando to Barcelona.
  • What is everyone else doing?
  • Anybody using Disney transportation and airfare?
  • What airlines and routes are you using?
If you have specifics, just pm me. Thanks, Connie
