THAT GREAT NEWS :cheer2:

Hope the rest of your treatment goes quick and painlessly.
SW

Thank you, so do I. I have pain every day now, so it will be good to be pain free.

This afternoon, I went to my twin's sister's school where she teaches. She does an after school reading program and today was the last day so she decided to have an ice cream party. I brought over all of the ice cream, bowls, spoons, toppings (gummy bears, chocolate chips, sprinkles, chocolate syrup, cherries, M&M's and whipped cream) and surprised her kids with it. Beth (my twin) sent the one little girl out in the hallway to 'check to see if another teacher was in the hallway' and she stopped dead and looked right at me with a very confused look. She looked back at Beth and then at me again. :lmao: Poor kids were confused but very excited! I was able to stay for the ice cream party and spend some time with her kids. It was fun! Here's a picture of Beth and I from my bridal shower...I don't think we look alike but apparently the kids did!

BethI.jpg

Well you really are alike, but if we look closely I think we would see some differences. Our twin granddaughters are as close to identical as you get. I can never tell them apart till I look closely and remember what it is that is different, or remember what they are wearing!!!!! Their mum gets a little mad with me but :confused3

I'm really pleased for you! Yay!
I hope your operation goes smoothly and you are feeling well very soon!

Thank you.

AWESOME!

Love this, on the WBPc cruise our end of cruise gift was a ceramic trinket box, the redeeming quality, the characters on it are Chip and Dale.

Pj

PS. I am PIF, the rest is all for Angie, lol. :rolleyes1

Thanks PJ.

John hates the little trinket box. He thinks it is cheap and like a seaside souvenir!!!!

I hope you can still go if Angie defaults on on payment!!!:rotfl2:

Joined the PIF club today!! Actually charged it to the Disney Visa, but that counts doesn't it??

I am also a member of Girls without Gallbladders!

What can I say... I am just a joiner!:dance3:

Oh, Visa payments sure do count!!!:thumbsup2

We should have a club meeting and eat fatty food!!!!

I'm glad it's not bad news, sounds like it's better out than in.:thumbsup2

Funny you should say that, I gave up coffee a couple of years ago due to stomach cramps and other nasty side effects, and found out last year that I have gallbladder polyps. The Dr said coffee is a very common "bad food" for gallbladder problems.

Thank you. Definitely get this thing out!!

I will keep wih the coffee until I have problems!!!;)

I've been watching all the conversation about dinner attire and formal nights vs. semi vs. cruise casual, etc....but I haven't ever thrown in my two cents...but I'm procrastinating getting work done so now seems as good a time as any!

I know I'm in the minority here...but I'm hoping for 2 formal nights---that will give me and Jason a chance to wear our various Disney-themed tie/vest and tie/cummerbund (sp?) sets! :thumbsup2

People who have cruised with us before know we have this "thing" about dinner attire. ;) I should preface this by saying that at home we never dress up----EVER. Jason works in a very casual job where he can basically wear what he wants to it's jeans and Tshirts or polo shirts most days. I have a "business casual" job where I have to wear khaki pants and most days I wear a polo shirt or MAYBE a collared shirt....but NEVER a tie. And we NEVER wear suits except to funerals and weddings!

On our cruises, however, we wear ties to dinner every single night----we wear DISNEY ties!! This all started on our last TA cruise, the EBTA in 2007. On that cruise we decided we were going to bring a different disney-themed tie for every night of the cruise----and the tradition has stuck! Sometimes we wear the same matching tie....sometimes we wear coordinating ties (like they are different ties but have the same character and/or film theme)...sometimes we just wear whatever ties that don't go together at all....but we wear Disney ties every night. Many of the ties I have scrounged up on ebay over the past couple years, but I have also taken to actually buying fabric and MAKING us ties when I can find fun Disney fabric. I've done the same thing with our formal wear. We have one set of mickey mouse vest/bowties that we bought...but I have since made us several different matching sets of ties and vests or cummerbunds----Mickey Mouse, Disney Princesses, Little Mermaid, 101 Dalmations (that's the photo of us in my signature), Finding Nemo, Tinker Bell----we even have a set of "Golden Mickeys" vests and ties I made after our last cruise for us to wear on Golden Mickey's night----only to find that they got rid of that show!!!:scared1::scared1: (We will probably keep the magic alive by wearing that set on this cruise anyway, though).

So anyhow...we're at the point now where we own just under 50 Disney neckties and at least 6 formal Disney bowtie/vest/cummerbund sets----and we will be bringing and wearing them all....so on the B2B cruise we intend to keep the tradition alive by wearing a Disney tie or formal set to dinner every night----and never wearing the same one twice!!! (As guys we're fortunate we can launder and recycle the dress shirts & slacks and then just wear different ties----so it seems like a whole new outfit LOL).

So if you end up seated near us in the dining room(s), make sure you take note of what the tie for the day is!! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2
We are with you on this, I love to dress up, spned all my time in dog walking clothes and work clothes normally.
I was hoping to get my income tax refund in the mail today so I could be PIF too, but no such luck... :sad1:

sounds like fun.
Yes you have us switched. I am the one on the right with the blonde hair, longer....Jason, my hubby, is the one on the left with the buzz cut red hair.
I had you too switched for ages in my head as well, I hope to sit within viewing distance of you guys at dinner, I think you are main though.
When we have been at WDW we usually have a drawer that we use to store all the soap, shampoo, etc in. We got more everyday. We took it home gladly. It's great for the kids' swimming lesson post-showers, camping, etc. On our cruise we did the same thing, and mentioned to our stateroom host that we liked the shampoo and we had lots! We have two rooms this cruise so I am already thinking about the copious amounts of toiletries I hope to bring home. DH thinks I am nuts. I get a little thrill whenever I use the products at home, and the smell evokes that happy vacation feeling. :lovestruc
I know what you mean, but weve never enough wt allowance to take any home.
Stopping by to say hello. Life has gotten in the way of my planning latley, but hopefully it is looking up. Have an appt tomorrow with the cariologist for FIL, fingers crossed all is well.

DSis has her vow renewal finalized, YEAH! It will be on the 27th while we are at sea.

Did anyone book a limo/ car service in Barcelona? Last time we hailed a cab, but his time we will have luggage and are going to a hotel.

Any thoughts?
No, we were just going to hail a taxi ,there is 4 of us, any thoughts on this you experts??
Why go shopping in Gib instead of Barcelona?

I thought gb might be less expensive, I will just pick it up whereever though.
If wt allows I want to take some with me, I am kinda fussy about it.

DH and I will also be sharing deodorant, facial cleanser and moisturiser, and anything else we can! So if anyone sees a big manly guy smelling like lavender or roses........ probably my DH!:rotfl:

Or mine lol!

I'm glad it's not bad news, sounds like it's better out than in.:thumbsup2

Coffee is quite bad for things like IBS as well

We also went in 2008 and had such a good night! We are going to go on the 7th this year. I have already booked BBB for my 2 DD's then CRT for lunch and we'll finish with MNSSHP....HUGE day!!!!! :woohoo:

What's the deal with the gifts, Are they just for CC members or does everyone get them? Disney really know how to make you feel welcome, huh? :thumbsup2

Everyone got them on the last cruise we went on. They were special gifts for the cruise not for just CC members. You still get a CC gift which on the EBTA & WBTA was actually not the standard gift but a document holder. I have yet to hear what people got as the CC gift on the EBTA this time.

OK Im duplicate posting today!

I've got my mock in an hour for 1 part of my exam in May so meant to be revising but panicing so came on here instead!

We were just going to grab a taxi also, But am a little worried about space for luggage. There are 4 of us and 4 large suitcases and a couple of cabin bags????? :scared1::scared1::scared1: Do they have those Maxi Taxi's there??? Anyone know???? :confused3

Or mine lol!

Our DH's can hang out together, under dressed and smelling pretty! :lmao:
Oh, IBS, the Dr's has thrown that term at me a couple of times.
Cool, I go on a Disney cruise and get gifts, YAY!!! :cool1:

Slow down!!!

I thought I would jump on quickly before leaving for work to check things out. 19 pages later I got to the end. Will have to go back and review them since I was scanning quickly.

Hope everyone is having or has (depending on where you are) a good day:goodvibes

I really think that Skype would be better on the iPhone. I haven't tried it on the iPad, but I wonder how well the built in microphone would work. I wonder if you could use the headset that came with the iPhone that has the microphone built in.

You can leave your phone in airplane mode and turn on the wifi without removing the sim. Give it a try!

I am enjoying the iPad. However, I think that some of the things that are coming out with the 4.0 upgrade with make it even better.:surfweb:
Thanks for the tips!! What do you think of the new iPhone that is going to be available in June? Must have new phone!!!:goodvibes

Joined the PIF club today!! Actually charged it to the Disney Visa, but that counts doesn't it??
:welcome: to the club no matter how you got there!!!:goodvibes It's all money.

Okay, I'm just going to put this out there. If there are any cabin gifts that you don't want, please send them Terry and my way. We are BFF (best friends forever) but we live 20 miles apart. And I'm already wondering how pratical it will be to cut the little steamer trunk in half.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

So if you are going to toss it out, recycle so we don't have to say.. you have custody for the fist half of the year, and I get it the second half. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

One year I got the castaway cay bag, the next year she did. We each have one cup each year so they are mismatched.:rotfl2:

The only things we don't have to negotiate are the DVC gifts. They go home with me.:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

So if you have no room in your case for the little cardboard box, think of us.
!!! And if you are wondering what are you going to do with yet another castaway cay bag, think of us!!

Thank you so much for reading... Back to our regular postings now. :goodvibes:goodvibes:surfweb:

Granmaz - My neice 14 - had her gall bladder removed last year and all went very smoothly and she hasn`t had any problems since. I hope all goes well with you.

Gismo - good luck with the exams :goodvibes Keep calm and carry on!

Re shopping in Gib - Dsis says the Morrisons is right next to the port and the menu in the cafe is identical to the ones at home! So if anyone is desperate for sausage egg chips and beans - thats the place to go.

Re planning for this trip - we still need two nights in Disney but I`m going to see if they bring out any room discounts as I`d like to stay at the Beach Club and we don`t have any DVC points left.
I`m not too worried about packing - we`ll bring alot of books and put them in the hand luggage and will leave behind. Both of us travel light, Dh won`t wear a tux, he has a very bad curvature of the spine and doesn`t feel comfortable in formal clothing - he has a several nice soft linen jackets he looks smart in so he`ll wear one of those to formal nights.
I have a smart pair of black trousers and several jazzy tops - they`ll do. Fashion and style have passed me by

Well I should be cleaning the windows, tidying the garden, preparing some lunch...........................

Thanks for that info, not that I will be going to the cafe but for toiletries its good to know! wonder what the prices are like??

Well I should be cleaning the windows, tidying the garden, preparing some lunch...........................

Me too, well not windows but def not this :rolleyes1

Thanks everyone for the luck! I just got my marks and had 32 out of 60 in the mock so would have got a pass in the exam - which trust me with this one was what I was aiming for. About 50% of us got a pass with the rest failing by around 10 marks so as you can see its not an easy one for any of us!

Steph - on the last WBTA I travelled with my sister. I emailed DCL about a month out and said "look we're travelling together but live seperately (had our addresses down as seperate on reservation too) so could we possibly get 2 of everything" and they said "we can't guarentee" but when we got onboard they did give us two of everything! Honestly contact them! Its worth a shot as they only chuck them at the end of the cruise because they are dated! Also when onboard check with your room steward as he might be able to find extra too!

Oh Morrisons? Hmm. Don't remember seeing it in 2007 but hey maybe its been built since! Im thinking we may pop in for a few bottles of wine in Gibraltar then as were not doing much there other than a tour of the rock. Will have to look for a map on it

No we are late dining. We never get main/early dining. Even at home we rarely eat before 8pm so on vacation we much prefer to do the show(s) first and then dinner.

Another option to catch us in our ties is that we ALWAYS get photos taken....so between the dining seatings you're sure to find us in line for one of the photos!! :thumbsup2
