Im definately doing the Disney shampoo and haven't told Dan yet but were sharing Deodrant lol!

They did not run out of any shampoo things onboard! In fact our stateroom host gave us new shampoo 3 times a day!

I have never received extra shampoo etc on any of my cruises apart from our B2B on changeover day. Even then I hid the part used as I expected I wouldn't get any new if the part used tubes were still out!!

However I saw our neighbour on our PC cruise asking our room host for more conditioner which she got no problem.

Ive always had to ask to, but thats not a problem.:rolleyes1

At the Disney hotels we have stayed at we end up with piles of extras even though we don't use anything but the shower gel and hand soap. I think I could have filled a suitcase some times.:lmao: We leave it all there apart from an odd shower gel and soap.

:welcome:

Thanks, getting excited! :thumbsup2

As a 33 year old non-drinker (well, maybe a couple of cocktails), I qualify as a Geezer in trainer and a designated walker! ;)
I can't wait!!!:dance3::dance3::dance3::dance3:

I would mention, net access on the TA's in 2007 was atrocious! My sister tried to email her hubby most nights and got no where
Oh no!!!! I sure hope the internet works. I remember it was awful in 2008 and I was just in the Bahamas! I spent almost 25 minutes connecting to my bank transferring money from my savings so I could have a couple extra spa treatments. :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao: And so began my romance with the Vista Spa.:goodvibes:goodvibes

And if I need an iPad now that I have a netbook. It is 2.75 pounds. An iPad is 1.5 pound. My iPhone is .5 pound, and it fits in my pocket. I go nowhere without it.

Okay, so what should I do??? iPad, just my netbook and iPhone or iPad and netbook???

Has anyone skyped from the ship??? The netbook does have a webcam..popcorn::

Guess it depends on what you want to do with them! I have a net book and an iphone too.

I wanted an ebook reader and was trying to decide what to do when the iPad was announced. I don't mind reading the Kindle app on the iPhone, but it is way too small for me. You are always turning pages!

You can get a program from Amazon to use Kindle on your netbook, but I didn't care for it. YMMV!

So I got an iPad for my birthday. I can do everything I want to do in one package-- watch movies, play games, read, email, etc.

I will take my iPhone, but I found that when I was in London I was petrified of incurring those very high international data charges. I thought that I would be able to find wifi hotspots to use the wifi, but if the free wifi was there I couldn't find it. McD did have it!

Best thing about the iPhone for me was the free White Noise app for the long plane ride!

on the 11 night cruise as I had a room on my own I asked for extra shampoo etc and ended up taking home almost 10kg of weight from just toiletries. Everyone got them for Christmas lol!

We have always had good luck getting enough of the DCL shampoo and soap/body wash...and we plan on using it on this cruise, too. Jason has always used it because he has no hair really....but I wear my hair longer and so I usually have to bring all my hair product with me (shampoo, conditioner, straightening lotion, flat iron, blow dryer (cuz the one the bathroom SUX! :lmao:), styling product, etc.). My hair junk always takes up a ton of extra space and weight in our bags. Anyhow....we're both using the DCL shampoo products for this trip, I think because I made the decision that I'm cutting all my hair off on Sept. 1st!! :scared1::scared1: (we fly out to Orlando from home on Sept. 2nd to stay at WDW for 4 days before flying to BCN for our Med cruise and then this TA).

...OK the emails and PMs have slowed considerably, but I'm still trying to get the accurate lanyard list wrapped up. The most current format for the lanyard list can be viewed HERE.

If you have not already reviewed your information on the list and PMed me to let me know that it is correct or in need of corrections, please take a look and do so ASAP so that I can get an accurate headcount and order the lanyards in the next 2 weeks or so.

Thanks!!

:scared1::scared1: You are very brave! I can see your not wanting to lug your hair goods. But if you change your mind and don't chop your hair off, I will totally share my hair goodies with you. :goodvibes

Well I had my hospital appointment to get my MRI results today. Good news is nothing nasty which is what I anticipated, but they want to take the gallbladder out as there is some inflammation and tiny gallstones. It is the tiny gallstones that are the problem passing down the bile duct and going into the pancreatic one causing the nasty acute pancreatitis. They don't want me to have another attack, and I sure don't. Apart from being one of the most painful things, it can be fatal.:scared1:

So, that should be done in the next 2-3 weeks, by keyhole surgery hopefully, so no big deal, and I should(barring complications) be absolutely fine for this vacation. I have to continue with my low fat diet till then.

Just need to make sure of the cancellation policy and dates just in case as I can't get insurance till it is all over, and these dates are fast approaching!

I can start looking forward again and planning!!!

I am sure you will have a speedy recovery. I had this surgery by laparoscopy several years ago. The recovery time was very quick. I was in at 8AM and going home by 4PM. I was told not to travel for a week and after that and my checkup, no restrictions.

Did I ever tell you that my original diagnosis came from my ophthalmologist who told me something was wrong in my body and he could see it by the increased pressure in my eyes. He told me to see my regular physician. That very weekend after I saw him is when I had my one and only attack.

One of the things I did was give up coffee which I thought was bothering my stomach. Plus, I have tried to continue the low fat diet ever since. One thing I did notice for me is that I can no longer digest red meat. I realize that the liver takes over the function of the pancreas but that is one of my side affects.

You will be back in no time obsessing and planning with the rest of us DISers.

Just my thoughts.

....thanks for everyone who's concerned about my hair :lmao:

Honestly I don't mind the idea of cutting it off at all....My hair has long been one of the ways I express myself and so it's not unheard of for me to make dramatic changes----in length, style, color----on a whim. As a 35 year old man I have the good fortune in my genes to have a very full head of hair that grows in very quickly....so it will probably be a nice "hair vacation" to have shorter low maintenance hair for our long vacation extravaganza this fall (and I'll be able to sleep in a bit later since I won't have to get up and deal with it every day! :thumbsup2)...and if I decide I hate it then I'll let it grow back and it'll likely be pretty long again my next cruise just after Easter of 2011!!! (B2B cruises doing the repo from LA to Vancouver and the 1st Alaskan itinerary)

Everytime you post you are from Reading, I am like you live nearby. As I live in Reading, Berks County, PA.;)

:rotfl2: Hi there 'neighbour'! :thumbsup2

Good morning ..... my last shift in work today before the weekend ..... and meeting Lynne and Len ...... we are so excited. :yay: Although a bit worried about DS Dan ( the one with glandular fever) as he seems a bit under the weather again :sad2:

My dd had glandular fever last summer too, and it was awful, she still seems to have recurrences to me. Hope Dan is betetr soon x

Oh I hope I don't have to give up the coffee. I only drink a couple of cups a day, so hopefully I can continue. I already use skimmed milk(fat free) have done for about 25 years.

Yes, probably the best result for us, even though it means an op, as it takes some worry away about having another pancreatitis attack.

I only gave up coffee because I originally thought that it was my problem. No one in my family can believe that I am no longer drinking coffee as I use to drink as many as 8 cups a day (black) for over 30 years. Once I gave it up, I just never went back. I only drink decaffeinated tea made Chinese style.

As operations go, I must say it really didn't feel like one. Didn't have hardly any pain and the recovery was very quick. Scar faded really quickly.
