Gosh, maybe we can get some guidance from the EBTA people, but I thought that it was pretty cold on the TA part of the cruise. I thought I remembered that people were sitting around with blankets? :confused3 I was thinking long pants/fleece for that.

I was thinking the rest of the cruise would be warmer-- capris or shorts?

What have you all heard?

That is all true of course. I had forgotten those 5 days between the warm Med and the hot Caribbean!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I'm going to layer. I can't face the thought of taking a fleece.:lmao:

We're joining you all for this cruise! We're arriving in Barcelona Thursday before the cruise, and staying at Le Meridien. Looking forward to the cruise and meeting all of you!

:welcome: My BFF Stephanie (Steffy on the DIS) and I are coming in on Friday. We will both be celebrating turning 60 on this cruise.

I will be married 41 years in June. My 5th grandson will be born in July. :goodvibes Thankfully my DH lets me have my love of Disney and doesn't complain when I go on vacation with Stepanie. My goal is to get him on a Disney cruise to Alaska next year. ;)

I read this thread at least twice a day and I`m sorry for being such an infrequent poster - but as I`ve nothing useful to add......
Anyway excellent news for us this evening - we have got our flights booked :worship:

This next bit is boring so you may want to skip it.
I`ve been checking my emails every 15 minutes or so today as I requested a quote from DU about the Baltic cruises. DD22 will have her final exam results in June - so good or bad she is thinking of travelling to Cuba to explore for a few weeks. Though she was also thinking of the cruise. I know which I`d prefer her to do! I would do the Baltic cruise with her ;)
Anyway I noticed an email from Virgin Atlantic with a rewards seat sale, after an hour or so either on the phone or on the internet buying extra miles, we have our seats booked for less than £300 for two of us  I am so chuffed.

I`ll slink back to lurkdom for awhile :goodvibes

Hey nothing useful to add???? For us boring job people who get a moment to pop online - even a "hello" is enough to brighten our days lol.

Well done on the flights! That's fantastic news! Did you manage to get the Baltic quote?

Don't go!!!!! Come back.

Great news about the flights. We booked the first Baltic on the first booking day, but cancelled it a few months later as it needed mortgate to pay for it!!!:scared1:

We booked this cruise as well the first day it came out. I think at one point the cost was going to be £9000 for three in an inside stateroom :lmao:
The £ dropped against the $ and DH said I was barking to even consider it. So it was cancelled.
Anyway I read of the latest price drop and DD suggested we do it - so I`m off to book. $3,370 with $325 on board credit. It would be rude not to :rotfl2:

Sign us up for the PIF club!! Feels so good to have it done! So the only things left to do are decide on excursions and book them and then PACK!!!

Wohoo!!!
:welcome: to the club!!:goodvibes

:dance3::woohoo: Absolutely had to book as they are practically giving it away!!! :rotfl:

I wonder if we should have a 1950 club as there are so many of us born in 1950 going on this cruise!! Myself, included!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Thank you all for the warm welcomes! It IS hard to keep up with this chatty crowd! I am working on getting enough posts to PM, so don't mind me!

We will be celebrating my DH's 50th birthday on this cruise! Don't tell him I told you! It's not until December, but I have to get mileage out of an expenditure like this one!

That's sounds like a blast from the past!! I vote yes. :thumbsup2

Welcome to all our newbies, we're a bunch of talkers. Turn your back and we're 5 more pages behind!!!:rotfl:

What else can I tell you all about us? Our oldest daughter, who went through the Disney College Program awhile back, just got an advanced internship with Disney. We're very excited for her! Usually, we vacation with the children (DD25, DS20, and DD13), but it's more difficult now that they are older. And since we've developed a love of cruising, we go alone now! So, it is just me and DH this trip!

We'd like to sign up for all the tastings!

-Lynn

I know you all have probably already discussed this, but how far in advance do you think we will find out about the number of formal nights? It looked like the EBTA folks had 2 formal and 3 semi-formal. Will it be about the same for us?

Hi Lynn,

We're celebrating my DH's 50th birthday on the cruise as well! His birthday is Sept. 2nd.

Me also!! I have already had that celebration though, March 10

I think several of us are getting a lot of celebration mileage out of this one. We are celebrating our 43rd anniversary which is not until Oct 6, so we will celebrate again at Epcot after we disembark!

Oh and you might want to meet up with us Geezers and Geezers In Training (no acronym for our Brit friends!!)at the Cove Cafe at the end of the evenings. There should be some of us there most every night.
