Let me know if you want to play :)

I'm good to go, I've bought the chocolate and I'm ready to play!

This morning I was interviewed by Mike Rahlmann for the Be Our Guest Podcast so if you are a listener, keep an ear out for me - it'll be one of the Monday shows - not sure whether it will be this coming Monday or one in a few weeks.

Also I and my partner Robert have (foolishly?) volunteered to have our heads shaved for a Canteen and Child Cancer Foundation fundraiser though work.

Its a cause I want to support, as like many people, my family and friends have been touched by cancer. I don't want anyone to feel pressured, but if anyone would like to make a small donation to support me in this, please let me know via PM. Otherwise support (and/or cheeky remarks) is welcome. I promise to post before/after pictures once done. The date is set for 14 May - I can't forget it as thats my birthday :rotfl:

Well Paula I can say My hubby and I have been to New Zealand. In fact we got engaged their :) 13 years ago :)

My question is to all farmville Disers. How are we going to cope without 2 weeks of farming.

Ok my question is are you late or early dining :)

Now I know why it's impossible to keep up with all that's going on when I only get to check in once a day or so!

I saw a post a few posts back about restaurants in Spain not opening until late, and that's what makes Tapas so popular. That reminded me of a story from our Honeymoon. Everyone had told us to order Tapas, but no one really explained *how* to order Tapas (and this was before the Internet so we couldn't google it to find out.) We learned that if you go into a bar and order a drink, they would bring you a sample of the "Tapas of the day". But they wouldn't offer us any more, or give us the chance to order any. So we would go from bar to bar, ordering a drink, getting one Tapas, and then move on to another bar to get another bite of food since it was late afternoon and we were hungry! Then we'd go pass out in our hotel room for an hour or two from all the alcohol and little food, and that would tide us over until the restaurants opened at 8. Finally on our last night in Spain we learned we could ask for a menu and order tapas off the menu!
When we are in spain last week, the menu always said, 20 peice tapas, wish they would do veggie stuff, I cant wait to go to greece for humous tapas, man I love that stuff.
We got the Helpful Hints letter from Disney Cruise Line today.
It is always fun to get correspondence from Disney. :yay:

And we got a upgrade message at our DCL computer site today.
We could upgrade to porthole room for just $41.43 per person, per day. :confused3 That's just $1,160.04 total for natural lighting and an ocean view. :woohoo:

We are only on this cruise because of the great rate we got for our inside cabin (Cat 11). As we just nap and sleep in our cabin, the difference of a $1,000 will pay for five days at Walt Disney World after the cruise. And that would be money better spent, for us. :teacher:
Us too, I agree, If I want natural light, its only 2 mins to get to a deck, and nobody bothers you, you can just sit and have coffe/read.

I can never get the podcasts to work, re hair, nutter, not sure thats something I would ever do, Ive ran marathons, but shave my hair?
Have you got a justgiving page?

Oh yes meant to say one of my friends went to Barcelona about a week or so ago and actually brought back me one back strangely!

I have been to the Manchester one along time ago and have a pin I think from that one. Weirdly I noticed the other day I have a pin from Leeds? I never remember going to that one but I guess someone I know did.

Have you been to Surfers Paradise in QLD, Australia? It's our local.

Its not even a US DVD its a universal one (no coding) so it plays on any DVD player. Its actually in a really cool folder and has some nice stuff on it. I emailed them on the off chance last year when I was trying to explain how the boat works to Dan (as hes never been on it) and it was great fun. We spent ages looking at every section in great detail lol.

Go via the Contact Us section rather than through the "order a DVD" section and just say you would like to know if they could send it out to you and there should be no problem.

I wonder if one would make it to Australia, Will send off an e-mail, Thanks!

Also noticed on the DCL site you can now sign up to a special character welcome call while on the boat. I think its either Mickey, Goofy or Ariel. Trying to do it now but it timed out!

They don't phone all the way to Australia :sad1:
Does anyone know if I can organise a phone call from Minnie Mouse for my DD's birthday on board?

The CM's love getting candy in the lab. It's better than money in some respects because they can share it out right away. Money and other items need to be put in a pot and awarded to the various kids club cast members.

I knew I could give the CM's food (am planning on taking TimTams for them;)), but can i make up little lolly bags for her to share with the other kids?

You evil woman, thats the ultimate revenge - marrying an Australian just so you can torture and torment them on a daily basis. Doesn't the Geneva Convention have rules about that? ;)

We loved it when we stayed in 2008 - very clean and lovely gardens. The pool was nice too.

He didn't really have much choice, there are more kiwi's here than Aussies!!!! :rotfl:
Looking forward to SSR, thanks for the positive comments!

I had that upgrade thing too and had the same thought lol!

I haven't got any of the Australian ones as no one I know has ventured that far (although saying that one of my friends has gone back to Australia in Jan so was meant to be sending me one from Brisbane area).

I think you can ask at guest services for the Mickey Birthday call but not sure if they do a Minnie. Hopefully thought the DVD will head over there! Took around 2 weeks for me to get it.

I'm almost done with all of the major ressies for our trip. I booked the Port Orleans French Quarter for our post-WBTA cruise WDW stay.
We are staying there too .... but only for one night.

There is only 1 HRC that I know of In Australia, which is Surfers Paradise. It is about 1 hour drive from Brisbane. About 20 minutes from where I live.
I would be happy to spread some pixie dust and drop one in your FE.

I have sent off an e-mail asking for a DVD, fingers crossed!
