No, I was a bit forgettful there....10 euros per person from the hotel to the port. Free airport shuttle from airport to hotel.

Sorry Heather just noticed the earlier post! I'm working through pages! You're all too chatty

Someone on the UK trip planning board mentioned it a couple of years ago and we have used it ever since for our US$ payments :goodvibes

Check this out with nationwide, as I too had a credit card with them until the telegraph publsihed an article saying they were to start charging when the card was used in the US. I now have a post office card as they don't charge for the card to be used abroad:woohoo:

I think the Nationwide are still fee free in Europe but take a fee if the card is used further afield.

According to Money supermarket the fee for non-Europe transactions on the Nationwide credit card is 0.84%

Weirdly I brought a pair of travel luggage scales yesterday so I can ensure that I do not go over again. Also anyone flying Virgin Atlantic - if you booked after 25th Nov 2009 then you only get 1 bag of 23kgs! I booked on the 10th Nov so still get 2.

I think the photo CD is a fab price for the number of nights. Anyone know if there is a max number of photos on it?

We're flying PE and I think that this is the last flight we get 2 cases each at 32kg. Next time round if we manage to get PE with our frequent flyer miles it will be 2 cases each at 23kg. Here's the webpage if anyone is unsure - http://www.virgin-atlantic.com/en/gb/passengerinformation/baggage/allowances.jsp

:thumbsup2 Yep, I know what you mean. I ask questions to posts only to find that a few posts on, the question has already been asked and answered. :rotfl:

Well, that knocks that one on the head. Might have to look at American Express CC again.

Glad its not just me Heather!

Loved the different ports too. I hope to go back to Antigua one day.

I know! Antigua was so pretty! Wish we'd got further than the port in St Lucia mind but found a bar at the end of the peir where drinks were like $2 and they had in about 8 shots! Me Mum and Dad only had 2 and suddenly the day was gone!

Last weeks question:

From Pirates of the Caribbean. pirate:
How many gold medallions were there in total?

This week seems to be a conversation about formal dress for diners. So, question of the week, from the Curse of the Black Pearl, is: Who were the two characters that dress in women’s clothing to distract the Royal Navy:sail:?

PM answers please.

OK.....please tell....whats banabagrams?:confused3

Bananagrams is a "board-game" that Jason and I love. It's a little like scrabble only more fun (and a little easier) where you make words using letter tiles in a crossword-puzzle style. It's called bananagrams because the tiles literally come inside a zipper bag that is shaped like a banana. It's a great game for travel because it's small and light and easy to pack. Jason and I will be bringing lots of games (assuming we can fit them in our luggage) with us cuz we're big game people...so you'll often see us sitting on deck or in a lounge somewhere playing a game----and if you want to join then just pull up a chair!! (Usually we are traveling with all our other cruise buddies like Hadley's family and Sandi's family, etc.....and they're game people, too, but since they've dropped off the cruise we're going to have to find new gamers!):thumbsup2

Yeah When Mickey Dreams was absolutely amazing! It was so so good!

Well...see there you have it. gismo loved Mickey Dreams....I wanted to poke my eyes out with a fork :lmao::lmao: That's what's fabulous about DCL shows....maybe everybody doesn't like every show but every show appeals to someone. I'm sure there are even some people on our cruise who will be excited to see Justin Guarini from AI Season 1 perform (I'll probably be in the rainforest room while he's singing----so you guys have a good time! :lmao:)

Alright folks.....going once.....going twice.......

I currently have 237 names on the Lanyard list.

If you are a procrastinator and have not ordered lanyards for yourself and your traveling party, but WANT lanyards...or think you might want lanyards, then PM me directly or send me an email at wbtalanyards@yahoo.com

Time is basically up....so you really really REALLY need to contact me TODAY!! (I know our PIF date is still a little ways away, but the lanyards project is really time consuming so, unfortunately, we don't have the flexibility to wait much longer before we have to make the order and start the process of actually pulling all the materials together!) Remember, the lanyards are FREE to all DISers who want them....so if you're on the fence...then follow Nike's mantra and JUST DO IT!! :thumbsup2

For everyone who is already signed up....be on the lookout for a post in the next week or so from me. I am working with our FANTABULOUS webmasters and we are going to post the FULL LIST of lanyard orders (with a listing of DIS Names, First names, stateroom and B2Bers) on the www.transatlanticpirates.com lanyards page. Once it's up I'll let you all know in a post here and probably through a direct PM, as well (for the benefit of the folks who may not read the thread that actively) and I'll just need you to go through the list with a fine-tooth comb and make sure that all your information is as correct and up to date as possible. (Note: I know that many many of you still don't have room #'s and that's fine for now....once you get them, however, I'll want you to send them to me so I can update my records----having your stateroom # will be important to help Jason and I make sure you actually RECEIVE your lanyards in case we miss you in the port.)

You guys are AWESOME!!! Thanks so much for doing this!!

I just found my tux. for formal nights. It is the latest in high fashion. For anyone else that doesn't get dressed up or would prefer not to here it is.

Well Rick and I love learning and playing new games. We'll pull up a chair with you both. We also love trivia games.

Good Day all.

Good Day all.

It is Friday and I am ready for the weekend. What does everyone else have planned?
It was going to be a quiet weekend ending on Sunday with a wine dinner at D'land and then an overnight stay at Paradise Pier Hotel; one of our dogs thought differently though (well, it actually took 2 of them). After having an ultrasound for puppies last month and not seeing any, our older girl decided she would have some anyway.

Early this morning she whelped a litter of 5 pups. I unfortunately diagnosed her with a false pregancy last week - BECAUSE THE ULTRASOUND SAID NO PUPPIES - and we weren't prepared for this at all. All of the whelping supplies had been given away. We lost 2 of them unfortunately because she decided to whelp under our deck and not realizing it, 2 of the 3 didn't make it due to the cold night. We got her back in the house, cleaned her up quickly, made a makeshift whelping box and she whelped 2 more fairly quickly.

2 girls and 1 boy now join the household! It's going to be a crazy 8 weeks coming up. The move to Mexico JUST got a bit more challenging on the timing front.

Who else is having fun???!!!

I think we're gonna head over to check out the Food and Wine Festival at DCA. I've been trying to be good for the past couple weeks so I can't wait to get my hands on some "bad" food!!!
