You aren't telling me that some signatures aren't really done by the character.:scared1:

Jon

No of course i would never suggest that, :littleangel:I KNOW it's the real Mickey and gang on board. :)

LOL its the getting them to agree to go to France bit! They all keep going - couldn't we go to Haven like last year!

Oh dear. i think you should price the two trips up. If you can work out a bargain price for Disneyland Paris you can make it irresistable.

What images come on the photo CD? Is it all the shutters photos? The last time we cruised, on the Wonder in May '09, they had the digital viewing stations up but they were not offering any digital/CD package. You still had to order prints. Jason and I have written on our DCL evaluations for YEARS that we wanted to photos (i.e. Shutters photos) to be brought onto a format like Photopass where you can purchase (even at a seemingly high price point) to get all your pictures on a CD.

You see, Jason and I are photo-junkies. We seldom have photos in our own camera in which we are both together (because usually one of us is holding the camera)----so photopass and shutters are a real treasure for us (plus they often take such amazing photos). In the parks we NEVER walk past a photopass photographer without stopping and we often, if there's no line, do multiple poses! :thumbsup2 We also always buy the biggest package from Shutters, too-----but the bad thing is that we don't hang 8x10 pictures at our house. Our basement stairwell has magnetic paint on the walls and we use the walls there as a living scrapbook and 4x6 prints from all our vacations get put up there. So we always end up scanning those big pictures from Shutters and then resizing them and printing them at home as a 4x6.....so if we coudl get the images digitally on a CD that would be so much better!!

Yes, every photo taken by a Shutters photog should appear on your CD. They do not weed out the photos with your eyes closed, etc. as they do when deciding what to print. They swipe your card before most photo sessions, but for pictures taken in the Terminal, on Castaway Cay, and other places where they don't expect you to have your KTTW card handy, they use facial recognition technology to match the photos to your account.

You can check the photos in your account by looking online via a kiosk using your KTTW card. The photos appear in your account as soon as the photog turns in their files, which is usually an hour or so after they're taken. Shutters still prints the pictures they think are good, generally with borders, which may not appear in Shutters until the next evening. It helps to check the kiosk frequently so that you have time to hunt down any pictures that don't appear for some reason. (we didn't have many problems with this, but we did have a problem with some photos taken after I'd lost my KTTW card, where my daughter was looking down, and the facial recognition software couldn't place her in my account.)

On both of our cruises since they implemented the CD, we ended up also buying a print package as well. Buying the CD gives you an additional 50% off the package prices (which are now print credit packages, and not specific to size of photo as the old packages were.) If there are any borders that you want, such as the border on the embarkation photo, specific character or restaurant borders, then you need to buy the hardcopy prints still since they don't put the borders on the CD.

I think its going to be diffult finding a 4 person room because most european rooms only hold 3 at most. Unlike the US they dont really do twin rooms. I know the Renaissance at the airport does for 4 (has bus to Las Rambles but still a bit out). Best bet is an American chain hotel!

Unfortunately the cheapest I can get DLP for the weekend were going is like £200 each and haven is around £80 so no ones biting on this one!

Yep - all of the shutters photos - but none of the cute borders, etc. One way to combine with another fanmily is to get a spare room key only (no charging allowed) and then only use that card for pictures. You would then get every picture on that card no matter how many families... I think they will do this with any ressies that are linked.

Also - the photos on the CD come in a couple of formats if I remember right, so you can print latger than 8x10 and still have great quality!

Just read on the blog that the Once Upon a Song is as I suspected, the cast singing random Disney songs. Not sure Ill be attending that as no one can beat the real things or Susan Egan singing some!

Ello Cap'n!

A large group of use are staing at Pratik Rambla. I think we took over the hotel for the 2 days prior to our sailing, however, they have good rates. They have a room size that will sleep 4, and while we didn't get that (we are in 2 rooms next door to eachother) the prices for that were good as well. They have a sister hotel - Pratik Barcelona. The PB may even be less expensive.

Lynn got an apartment - that might be an easy way to go.

I would offer you the room I have at the HI Express for the 16th and 17th but I think you will be rooming on the Magic then... :) However, if anyone needs a room - I have one that is a family room at the HI Express Barcelona City - it is paid for, about 100 Euro a night. Let me know...

Sue

We are PIF :banana::banana:

Paid on our CC on Monday & got $1.52 rate, it really seems to depend on which Credit card you use.
Ann

Good for you Ann. What CC card did you use. We've got Tesco.

Hi there,

Well I have just booked the Transatlantic WB cruise! I am heading over from Sydney Australia, my sister is on the Walt Disney World International College Program and mum and I are using the excuse of her being in Florida to make a few trips to visit!

Anyway we are also on the 11 night Med cruise on the 15 May so it should be a lot of fun.

It is nice to meet you all!

Ella

Good day and welcome.

We were PIF last Oct, the rate was good then and took a chance and paid it all off. We use the Nationwide CC as they only charge about .7% so you almost get the full bank rate on the day. :thumbsup2 The Post Office do a fee free card so you will get the full rate with that one, could be worth looking into. :cool1:
Could anyone give me the Disney telephone No. for putting OBC on, the exchange rate is creeping up so thinking about putting some credit on, did have it from 2 years ago but cant find it now.

The number on the website is (800)951-3532 (I called and verified it to be correct)

Hope it helps

The shuttle to the port is free from the airport hotel.

Good for you. We use the Tesco card as we get Tesco points, but if the exchange rate is bad, we'll look as using something else. Thanks

The Frontair Congress is a hotel whit airportshuttle and it's only 60 euro.

To the port whit a taxi is 25 euro.
